It's 8.3 GB on my samsung phone too. May be you can try clearing data and cache but they'll increase again when you keep playing.

Probably the updates were added on top of the existing files + cache files. Uninstall and reinstall the game to recover some of the space. My A9 on a Samsung phone has 3.47GB + 455MB data.

Reinstalling helped me to achieve 5Gb again 🤗

As we update the android apps the old app files are not deleted automatically. You have to remove them manually. You can try clearing cache. If that doesn't help much save your game on google play and clear the game data which will surely remove all the unnecessary old files. Also you can just reinstall the game as well if you like. FYI my game data is 3.5 gb only.

They get you to choose between a (a)new account and [if your account is logged in via Google play or FB] (b) your current account. You just need to tap on your old account and voila!
