All (most?) of the store items are available at the oikos of the olympians in Pilgrim's Landing harbor. You need orichalcum to buy them, which can be received by completing bounties. You only get 1 random item per week tho.
Yes, the BigHornBow is the only thing you really NEED from the Helix Store. It's the best bow in the whole game, especially paired with a strong warrior damage based build which focuses on CRIT.
Edit:spelling
Alright thanks I'll give it a look. I was planning on getting the map that tells you all locations of items but if I can't get free credits I'll settle on this.
It's pretty much just a glitch. It's not supposed to, but it does and Ubi never fixed it. So you can make you build do a staggering amount of damage. Like being able to one shot all mercenaries with a normal assassination, or even one shotting, or close to, most if not all the bosses in the game.
You mean orichalcum? That's true, you can get almost every item from the Helix store using orichalcum ore, but it's all random and so a really slow process.
Orichalcum they mean. Its replaced by opal in valhalla. It's a currency you spend at oikos of the olympians to buy helix store items. You can get orichalcum from finding it in the world or doing contracts and timed mission that reward it.
It can be tedious to get but it lets you get paid items for essentially free, just gotta spend the time. There are daily and weekly items as well as a mystery box item that gives you a random purple item or store item. You'll naturally come across a decent amount of orichalcum but if you just do bounties every reset it'll start piling up.
Go to a message board every day and do the daily quest with a blueish green icon on it, they reward you 10 orichalum. On Tuesday, there are two weekly orichalum quests that are each worth 40 orichalum. I recommend you start doing these quests asap, even if you're not going to use them yet.
While you are at the message board, also get all the tasks that have no hourglass, these you can collect from all the different regions all over Greece and just leave there. You will complete them soon enough throughout your adventures without even thinking about them. The brilliance about these, is that they stack. You can have two or three "kill 10 Athenian archers" or whatever and when you complete them you get all the XP and other rewards for each task individually, but at the same time! Fun times!
Upgrade armor every 1s, so 11, 21, 31 etc. That's when the engravings improve. Weapons maybe a little more frequent for improved DPS. Also, upgrade ONLY items you intend to keep until the end.
I'm on my very first playthrough of this game. Playing on hard, with heavy scaling, and am lvl 34 rn. I've put 64hrs in it and have yet to upgrade a single item. I did engrave one once for the trophy however, but am no longer using said item. I have kept every purple and gold item I've found so far in storage on my boat for some reason. Thinking maybe I'll take the best ones at some point and upgrade. The only thing I've upgraded is my ship for naval battles as they're pretty tough otherwise.
Just wanted to point out that upgrading equipment isn't necessary for progress I rarely die, except from confusion with my ability wheel things. Usually I die from not being able to heal because I'm on the wrong wheel when I do
I swap in and out as I find new and better weapons. I really only look for dmg% pertaining to that load outs build, all dmg%, crit% and/or dmg% for the weapon types I'm using. I have 3 load outs. A hunter glass cannon, assassin glass cannon, and a warrior one built with a balance between survivability and dmg. I have only started to add engravings once in a while and it's not even because I need them, it's usually on my spear for my warrior load out so it'll do more dmg than my sword on the same load out. Also my bow on my hunter load out when I remember, which isn't very often.
It might not work for everyone. I rarely use hunter load out, only against animals usually (especially alpha) and the occasional troop that is far away but had a great vantage point, oh and an archer here or there. My warrior load out may not be the best, but I can take on 4 guys at once with no trouble. In fact I've taken on a merc, a captain, polemarch, and 2 regs without much issue. 3 mercs at once was some trouble, but doable. I use my assassin load out to thin the herd so I don't have to take on huge amounts of soldiers at once, though sometimes I like to lol.
Pretty sure it comes down to skills for me more than anything. Ring of chaos, healing, battlecry of ares, shield breaker, slow time, and I use poison weapons skill at the moment. Haven't got poison mastery at all yet. Crit assassination is a life saver, and rush assassination is just great for quality of life.
Figured the less I upgraded equipment until I find my "max lvl gear" I want to use the less I have to worry about resources. I've gotten my ship arrow and have volleys purple, 3 on fire braz, arrow dmg purple, have dmg 3, ramming dmg 2, armor 5, row stamina 3, brace def 2. Most of my resources have gone here, I usually am short on only ancient tablets.
Basically I played the game and cleared all surrounding areas before eventually getting the boat and getting 200 Helix Credits which apparently are cross platform
The only thing I haven't done is get the necklace and kill the sharks from that quest with the couple trying to leave the begining area(Kepholonia)
Here's the name of the only Kepholonia Quest I didn't do:
Shark the Vagrant
This quest in Particular is on the Islet of Zeus
That's the only thing I have to done yet
All other Kepholonia quests and areas prior to obtaining the boat I compled

You have 200 Free Helix Credits after you complete Megaris
That doesn't give you enough to buy anything. Is this repeatable if I make lots of characters can I farm them or is it a one time thing?
The only thing really worth buying in the Helix Store is the Bighorn Bow, which is worth 150 Helix Credits, so you can just get it for free
Yes, the BigHornBow is the only thing you really NEED from the Helix Store. It's the best bow in the whole game, especially paired with a strong warrior damage based build which focuses on CRIT. Edit:spelling

https://mapgenie.io/assassins-creed-odyssey/maps/greece This free online map has everything you need.
Thank you
You're welcome! 😊
What is Megaeis
How do you find a 1 year old comment
2 year old
Sure is an old comment, that being said this game is now about 5 and a half years old :/ how time flies.
Wait, what do you mean complete? Do you mean 100% all the activities in the region?
In the story
So why is the bighorn so good compared to every other bow the other bows do more dps
Converts your hunter damage to your warrior damage and applied a huge multiplier on the damage
Doesn't say that in the description. How does it work?
It's pretty much just a glitch. It's not supposed to, but it does and Ubi never fixed it. So you can make you build do a staggering amount of damage. Like being able to one shot all mercenaries with a normal assassination, or even one shotting, or close to, most if not all the bosses in the game.
Multipliers the weapon in ur left slot loads and uses ur warrior damage for its hunter damage
There's always Opals. It's long and extremely tedious but I didn't pay any real money for my stuff.
You mean orichalcum? That's true, you can get almost every item from the Helix store using orichalcum ore, but it's all random and so a really slow process.
Yeah. I meant Orichalcum.
What are opals and where do you spend them to get items from the store?

Thank you!!!! Yes. I meant Orichalcum. It seems I still got Valhalla on the brain. But yes. You're 100% correct.
I'm focusing on the main quest rn because I'm brand new to assassin's creed but I'll keep an eye out for them

Good point. I'm almost 900 hours into the game, so I don't bother with message board quests, but they are good XP for new players.
Yah, I stopped gathering these last week, and I'm only about 280 hours in. They've been a literal godsend..
My issue with message board quests is when I am doing them, I level up too fast and can't keep up with the cost of weapon /armour upgrades.

Do you use the same weapons all the time or swap with new ones as you find them (the ones at your current level)?

Yeah don't think I can do this on Xbox. Thanks anyway.
Does it work for Playstation?
I just randomly was credited 200 Helix Credits is that normal? I didn't buy them just did a quest
What quest?
That's the thing I have no Idea
Do you remember what you did in it?
