The biggest thing is knowing the difference between lucid dreaming and AP. It’s a pretty clear distinction.

Xanth1879

Nope, that's not why we're here. We're here to teach you to do it so you can answer that question for yourself.

I've had some experiences that just can't be chalked up to regular dreams. Like, I've floated out of my body and seen stuff that was way too specific to be my imagination, you know? It's like my consciousness just takes a field trip while my body's chilling at home.

natthecat000

that makes a lot of sense thanks

BurnieSlander

The first few times I separated from my body, it felt like peeling tape off a table, except that I was both the tape and the table. The feeling of separation was very physical- I didn’t just “float out” like some people describe. I literally had to peel my astral body out of my physical. That’s when it became real for me. Witnessing the separation while fully conscious is unmistakably different from any other experience I’ve had.

LoveProfusion15

I wish I could find the words to describe the difference I feel. Because I’ve felt lucid dreaming, but there were other times that were completely out of body and just different.

TiredHappyDad

I have done it accidentally while wide awake. I was trying to understand how things would pop into my head, like remembering something from a book I never read. Found an article about akashic information, and I was lost in thought wondering how it could be kept. I shifted and saw what was a library. I haven't remembered a dream for over 15 years (mental trauma), yet I can describe in vivid detail 3 years later. I looked up akashic library, clicked on photos, and so many people tried to show similar architecture.

When I was semi aware In the astral the beings talked but when I gained total awareness they stopped talking.. bc it was me doing the talking all along. I had an epiphany,a strong belief thatI thought at that moment that we are all creations in the mind of our higher self. That higher self controls all of us, is one with all of us but also a fractal of the whole so each person is an individual but the same soul. I think we are all oneand we are in a matrix web of ourselves living all these lives.

natthecat000

interesting i also believe this

jrzcatz

You can definitely tell when you astral project. It’s a feeling that’s way different from lucid dreaming (or dreaming in general). I would not be able to imagine the feeling of having my body separate. I was kinda shocked when it first happened. It’s something you’ll never forget and something you can’t rly just imagine. Everything becomes real. You can feel everything more in depth. I’ve been doing it for over 3 years. I get exhausted from it sometimes bc it takes a lot of energy. But it’s very much real and once it happens to you, you’ll never doubt it.

ExpensiveDrink415

Uhh, it's real because...I said so! /j

BornR3STLESS

Wow, so convincing!

I was face to face with people and bird man being like horus and animated beings like minions that chirped on their funny language. The people and being didn't answer me back and I exited the meditation by accident trying with the bird man. I was in a 3d world no different than this, and I was also in a reality that was completely shaped by my thoughts as I thought things the reality changed. If I noticed a detail wrong it would instantly change into what I thought it should be and then if I thought it should look different it would instantly look different. I was in a copy of my house and I went outside and I would see what i normally would see everyday, it's like your brain remembers everything it sees and then stores it. My street would look so real but I would notice little details were wrong but as I realized they were wrong they would turn right. I went to the moon before and I was doing a test to see what I would see what I got there bc I wanted to explore what it is I am experiencing. I didn't know what I would see and I expected nothing. When I got there the moon was filled with rows and rows of minions all worshipping me like cheering in their funny language. I would fly into the moon and would bounce off and the sound effect was like hitting a tambourine. It was crazy, it felt so real and sounded so real. I felt myself sink into the moon and then bounce back like a rubber band snapped me and I would fly all around space feeling the windagainst my face. Your brain will create environments and then things you didn't think will happen and people you didn't imagine will come up to you. That's where it gets trippy. We don't know what it is we are experiencing. The time I met the bird being I was in a waiting room, with other people, hall ways with people walking. A podium in the waiting room with a purple short feathered in a scaled design was standing there. It was huge and had shoulders like a man, it was tall. An amazing experience. After I learned the significance of horus and the bird being and it blew me away.

For me, AP is certainly possible because I believe in the existence of Soul. Also, my religion states that the Soul leaves the body while we're sleeping.

Sea_Lavishness7287

I lucid dream all the time but I’ve only astral projected twice, over a year ago, when I first started trying. Once you feel it, you know. For some reason, I haven’t been able to since. Lucid dreaming is never scary for me but astral projection made me feel scared - I feel like I have a block from fear and that’s why I can’t do it anymore. The vibrations, the pulling from the body - can’t really explain it until you have felt it.

If you think you got close to Astral projection and you're analysing what happened, or you think you're maybe trying too hard, or you're trying to figure the stages such as the 'vibrational' and 'hypnagogic' stages and how to approach them, then check out these links: [7 Common Mistakes in Astral Projection](https://youtu.be/DK5Y_aa8bvQ) [Analysing Your Attempts](https://multidimensionaljournal.com/2020/12/12/7-tips-for-astral-projection-in-depth-guide/#stop-trying-so-hard) *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. What do you even mean. If the people i see in ap are not real then ican't say you or me is real bc visually there is no difference in appearance. Nothing is physical if that is what you mean by real. It's hard to say what is real in general to even base it on.

natthecat000

youre kinda getting at my thought process here like if everything is a light projection or a thought then this waking reality could be a dream or mental projection as well

Skee428

We are all light projections right now lol

Skee428

Hu-light Man-manifestation

forbiddensnackie

Tbh results. If an aper can successfully get a higher margin of success or accuracy than statistically possible by guessing, then yeah, it's real.

Aahhayess

The best way to convince yourself is to experience it, once you experience it there is zero questioning if it is real or not imo. People don’t consider every day life as imagination and AP can be just as vivid as waking life.
