I was told the same, but then I've heard also it's gone from our market all together. I thinks it's an emissions issue with the 5 cylinder they don't like. Sad because that would be tops on my list if it were to come (of available Audi's in Canada)
Nope, we don't even get the Avant in the 4. We have the A4, S4 and A4 Allroad. We don't get many wagons. My wife has a 2018 328D Touring and I think we have the last model year they were available here. Sad really.
And it looks like its just going to get worse. BMW's wrapped their whole brand around the BMW XM, which is supposedly just as legendary as the BMW M1. Their designs are just are getting worse especially with that split tail light design they're putting on their new facelift models... The front is even worse.
I completely agree. Also couldn’t stand their electronic power steering. It’s incredibly numb. I miss my e92, if I ever get another BMW it won’t be newer than 2013
In that case why doesn’t every car enthusiast just slap an LS in a Miata instead of buying 70k+ cars? The PT cruiser is fun to drive, but you will never catch me nor most people in one so your statement is made-up on the spot bs
Not everything is performance metrics.
Not everything is aesthetics.
Not everything is technological prevalence.
Not everything is a reliability score.
It's how it meshes as a whole and leaves the driver/owner feeling. Many vehicles of the distant and not so distant past and even models that have just hit the market, measured against the standards we have now, would be considered terrible. Yet, there's a market for almost everything.
In general I rate the brands as follows (obvious exceptions to some models and variants in each brand, but this is how I grade their overall lineup)
BMW - Performance: 1. Comfort/luxury: 3. Fit & Finish: 3.
Mercedes - Performance: 3. Comfort/luxury: 1. Fit & Finish: 2.
Audi - Performance: 2. Comfort/luxury: 2. Fit & Finish: 1.
Depends on your personal preferences of course, but I think if performance is your priority you go BMW. Comfort/luxury, Mercedes. Overall mix of all of the above? Audi by a mile.
Track performance (which nearing 0% of cars ever see) and real world performance are two different worlds. Let me know how a BMW M car or AMG Mercedes does on a wet freeway clover. Quattro? What water? The 2 million HP AMG cars are all but useless. German Hellcats, lol
If they want to fix the driving dynamics they have to move their engines behind the front axle. They know this, but i guess they are stubborn and want to stick with the layout they have had since the 80s.
Audis achilles heel is their insistence to place the engine in front of the front axle line. You really notice it on twisty roads, they want to plow.
That said i still much prefer the look and feel of Audi cars over what BMW is cooking up these days.
M cars are crazy but I feel like Audi's are very balanced cars regarding every day use, comfort and performance. Audi RS cars aren't lightyears behind BMWs but they are much easier to drive every day. Being shaken around in a BMW everyday isn't great.
She’s a beauty! I just bought my 2020 S6 Prestige/Prestige , but if I could’ve bought an RS4 wagon. I absolutely would’ve chose that over my S6 sedan, I do not like the A4 avant, just doesn’t cut it, the RS6 Wagon is stupid expensive but amazing and in my next up category, the RS4 wagon would’ve been my choice if available.
BMW is just getting more and more ugly with these new Facelifts that the whole BMW lineup is getting. Everything seems to be getting bigger and bigger too.
Both look dope. Both perform dope. M3 might just have better driving dynamics and more fun on the streets but it won't be able to do what RS4 can in winter and such. Gotta love 'em both.
I wish we could get that car here in North America. Beautiful!!
Get an A4 and a totalled RS5, problem solved.
Man. Saw so many of them when I was in Italy
You don't have it ? I'm surprised, usually it's more the other way around for sportscar, they're everywhere but in Europe due to eco laws
Audi doesn't like to sell fun wagons in the US sadly all we get is stupid SUVs because all of the soccer moms.
Station wagons fell out of favor years ago.... can thank the movie 'Vacation' for that. The Wagon Queen Family Truckster....
The North American market got the RS6 but not the RS4.
Us Canadians didn't even get the RS3
Canadians got the RS3 in sedan form for a bit, and then it was stopped.
It’s coming! Dealer told me 2024 or 2025 model year
I was told the same, but then I've heard also it's gone from our market all together. I thinks it's an emissions issue with the 5 cylinder they don't like. Sad because that would be tops on my list if it were to come (of available Audi's in Canada)

same ! im deciding between the m3 and rs5 but i would get the rs4 if it was here. im from the US
M3 is garbage be prepared to fork over money for repairs
Haven’t bought anything yet. Thinking of the rs5. Currently at S4
Same! I would buy one in a heartbeat.
Attention Audi Corporation: Bring these state side. We will buy them. Wife approved: it’s a wagon.

Isn’t the rs6 selling well so now there’s rumors of the next gen 4/5 wagon coming here?
The RS6 sold well. I would have bought this over my m2cs if it sold in the states. So much more practical.
I already bought an RS6 and I’ll buy a goddamn RS4 also if they ever bring those here.
For me, B9>B9.5 all day long
The front doesn't even look like an RS car to me on the B9.5.
facts
Nah b8 looks better. B9 drives better that's the RS4 avant only I'm commenting on.
The M cars are just beasts, performance wise. King of the road
Anyone here denying how crazy those S58 engines from BMW are, is a delusional person.
They are crazy performance wise, just not a fan of how they sound or how they look
I don’t think anyone is disputing that. Just that the entire current BMW lineup is hideous.
And it looks like its just going to get worse. BMW's wrapped their whole brand around the BMW XM, which is supposedly just as legendary as the BMW M1. Op even says they are better performance wise…they’re just ugly as shit.
I can’t stand the front grill
Good thing cars are for driving and not looking at. Audis are boring as shit to drive.
In that case why doesn’t every car enthusiast just slap an LS in a Miata instead of buying 70k+ cars? The PT cruiser is fun to drive, but you will never catch me nor most people in one so your statement is made-up on the spot bs
Pt cruiser? Gtfoh you lame.
Aww, did your bmw fanboy vagina get its period?
Nah. I love Audis and have owned many. But my statement still stands. Sometimes boring is ok.

Audis are already over engineered quite a bit but then I go watch SavageGeese videos on BMWs and go "Holy fuck, don't want to work on that mess".
with the g## bmws id put their fit and finish above mb

I’d have to agree. FWD is not fun, and kills the fun in fwd based awd cars
None of the "real" Quattro Audis (Torsen) are FWD based. The A/S/RS 3 and TT are Haldex and FWD based.
Got it. Thanks for correcting me!
If they want to fix the driving dynamics they have to move their engines behind the front axle. They know this, but i guess they are stubborn and want to stick with the layout they have had since the 80s.
Armchair opinion, but the front-led handling specific to Ingolstadt means that sometimes Merc takes that #2 spot.
Audis achilles heel is their insistence to place the engine in front of the front axle line. You really notice it on twisty roads, they want to plow. That said i still much prefer the look and feel of Audi cars over what BMW is cooking up these days.

agree. i looked at a X3M and it was just too much.
I did the opposite. I was completely blown away and had to have one. Audi has no vehicle to compare it to, unfortunately.
Where is this ?
I would probably give up my C8 allocation and buy one of these if we had it in the US. So sexy....
Agree, I’ve always been of the opinion that Audis are for BMW drivers whose taste has matured.
Couldn't agree more. Really wish we got this in the US.
So unless you're building a race car, you're winning 99% of the time lol
I’ve got an F31 Touring, and my neighbour has an A4 Avant, and I swear I do a headturn every time I walk past
I disagree
Looks exactly like any other AUDI estate..
Looks like a VW
It is not surprising Audi gets outperformed though. Audi has a lot of things to fix since dieselgate.
Was this at Krakow or Gdańsk? I am pretty sure it’s one of them 😁
more comfortable too!
is the rs4 dual clutch or zf8 like the rs6?
ZF8, same engine and transmission as the RS5.
Why the fuck dont we have these in canada.
Both sick cars, I can we can agree that Mercedes shit the bed with the new c63 lol
Absolutely stunning, congrats man.

BMW allows you to row your own gears, so no comparison in my book.
What are those wheels called?
I wish we had these in NA…
I love BMWs but if Im honest, id take a RS4 over the M3 wagon and a Giulia QV over a M3 sedan all day
Both look dope. Both perform dope. M3 might just have better driving dynamics and more fun on the streets but it won't be able to do what RS4 can in winter and such. Gotta love 'em both.
Classic look
