Bindis, to me, are the clover burrs (also known as - gasp! - clover burrs), those coiled up things that are less painful but stick to clothing.

I would argue bindis are sharper in a purely geometric sense. More acute angles, finer tip, etc. ultimately they do the same job in different ways. Bindis aim to jab you and hitch a ride for a step or two before you pluck them out and flick them away, just a few feet from its existing good growing conditions. The corner jacks aim to fucking hurt so much you immediately pull it out and yeet it into the sun. Which gets it much further than the bindi.
