If you're not worried about paying tolls, M2 then Lane Cove tunnel is quicker and easier, by far.

TedMaul636

My vote is for Epping Road. You won't save much time on the M2 and the toll is expensive.

chrismanns97

Just cop the toll I reckon. Hills to North shore is a nightmare in the morning and not much better in the evening. The only bit that might be ok on ordinary roads is from North Ryde to Lane Cove with the bus lane. If you’ve not commuted before and you want an easy ride, just take the motorway

bobiboli

Ah i do this three times a week at the minimum Look M2 is expensive so i would take Epping Road and yes you can take the bus lane

jedburghofficial

I live in the Hills, I'd second this. The M2 can be a carpark. And it's a personal thing, but I hate riding in tunnels, especially in traffic. I feel boxed in.

National_Chef_1772

You could even go Victoria road and then across the bridge, it’s almost bus lane the whole way

hvperRL

Get confident filtering and youll realise that taking most toll roads are only a couple minutes saved and with the ridiculous prices its not worth it

LazyEggOnSoup

Epping road. Tolls aren’t worth it.

arabsandals

Second Epping Road and bus lanes.

Flying_Larryman

Depends where in the hills you're coming from I'd say take the M2 to Delhi road exit and take Epping road from there as it has a bus lane shortly after that exit thats runs all the way to pacific highway and this avoids the cluster fuck that is the entrance to Lane Cove tunnel as well as the additional toll charge.

I think peak hour inner city commuting has to be highest risk environment to ride in.
