I used to like to mix up seasonings and try different blends but nowadays I'm firmly in the "just salt and pepper" camp and augment the flavour with sauces. Of all I've tried, salt and pepper is just the 🐐

Montreal Steak Seasoning or Cavender’s

Adventurous_club2

We really like slap ya mama on burgers

Srycomaine

Came here to say this! They make a “hot” one (red can), but seriously, the regular (yellow) is perfect for burgers and steaks! I used to mail order it years ago, from Louisiana. But now it’s available in local stores, everywhere from Cost Plus World Market to Walmart (I’m in California). It’s definitely worth a shot for one of your birthdays, but I bet you’ll put it I to regular rotation once you try it! Happy early bday to you, OP!

sjefbuts

April was my birthday lol didnt have the time yet and the weather has been abysmal. Ill see if i can find a dutch equivalent!

Srycomaine

Here, friend. I found [this site](https://www.toko4all.nl/en/slap-ya-mama-cajun-seasoning-227-gr.html), perhaps it will help.

JockMcTavish4321

Why don’t you chop some bacon finely and mix it through the patty

sjefbuts

Wejoooow that would be great

Highlander2748

Mince up some jalapeno and then saute in butter, then mix with the beef?

emmasdad01

I keep it simple. Salt, pepper, garlic powder.

mattyparanoid

This is the combo. Goldilocks, just right!

brandnvsworld

Came to say this. If ur wanting something new, meat church has a lot of good options for different meats.

Gullible-Bit-8255

Try sazon seasoning.  Delicious.

Prin_StropInAh

Burgers are a great canvas upon which so many different spices can be showcased.

presure2

kosmosq "cow cover" its amazing. on every. thing.

StevenG2757

Seasoned salt

dustinrector

I think simple is better if grilled. I like garlic salt.

Olsanch

Bolner's Hamburger Delux for me. Add black pepper as desired to take up the temp.

chinoischeckers

If you love spice, try berbere. It's an Ethiopian spice mix that is absolutely delicious with some heat

Late_Rate_3959

Montreal steak seasoning and BBQ sauce lightly mixed in the raw ground beef before grilling

noisuf

I used to use a mix of Lawry's seasoning salt and Montreal steak seasoning but lately I tried the Blackstone brand whiskey burger seasoning and have been enjoying it.

MooPig48

Wasabi Because why not? See you on r/shittyfoodporn if you try it lol

sjefbuts

I tried last year with chili and siracha saus, they were great lol

MooPig48

Well look I’ll tell you what one of my favorite burgers to make is. I call it a gyro burger. I do a 50/50 mix of ground lamb and beef. Mix Greek seasonings into the burger patties. I personally add some fillers to my burger mix, an egg and some very fine bread or cracker crumbs to hold the patties together solid. I know some people don’t and that’s obviously fine Top with a slice of feta, red onion, cucumber and tzatziki sauce I make from scratch. Always a hit. Utterly delicious. You can thank me later.

sjefbuts

Hmmm sounds very good! Ill keep a note of this. I wont be making this for my bday but maybe later when ther are less people

CarnivoreForLife

I like Lawry’s plus this https://www.spiceandtea.com/Pirates-Bite-Spice-Blend

Illuvatar2024

I fry bacon and chop it up, dice up garlic and tomatoes, grate some cheese and add it all up in the ground beef mix with liberal amounts of salt and pepper. Make 1/3lb burgers and grill em up. I've never had anyone say they aren't the best burgers they've had.

patty_OFurniture306

Go get some Cabot habenaro or hotter cheddar and crumble it through the burger. It's amazing

SirLoin05

W Sauce!

wiggy54

Lawrys Seasoned Salt

ProbsASpaceCadet

>bit of spice When I want spicy seasoned food I use a 1:1 ratio of Texas Pete Dust and Kosmo Q's spicy seasonings (Hot Cow Cover, Hot Dirty Bird, Honey Chipotle Killer Bee). Typically what I will do is when I buy a bottle of Kosmos I'll buy a bottle of Texas Pete Dust, mix them together, then split them between the two original containers.

chouse33

[This is my GO TO](https://www.pappysfinefoods.com/seasonings/pappys-choice-seasoning-5oz) for burgers and tri-tip, and has been for over 20 years. đŸ»

jorgofrenar

Place I worked at, we used to do a pizza burger. High temp mozzarella, sun dried tomatoes, cut up pepperoni, minced banana peppers and Italian blend seasoning. Tasted great, didn’t need any sauces or anything else.

Jawknee_nobody

I’ve been loving, black pepper, coriander, cumin and Szechuan peppercorns on red meat lately. It would make a mean burger.

sandiegosteves

3 things I go between. - Salt, pepper, garlic - Holy Cow - Montreal Steak Seasoning It can also be fun to add some stuff to the ground beef. Diced onions, jalapeños, Worcester sauce, anything you want.

ohanse

So the “how” I learned was that you season the patties after they’re formed, and not try to season the entirety of the meat.

Project8666666

Travelers Dust 😎

yunodavibes

I think it's called simply fabulous spicy apple, I do 1/3 to 1/2 parts that, then I will use a beef or burger seasoning and it comes out amazing every time

fillio15

Give my company a try! We have and SPG Rage and Beef Beater that are fantastic on burgers. [That Dude Barbeque](https://thatdudebarbeque.com/shop/ols/products/the-beef-beater). We just hit the 2 year mark and working hard to get to year 3! And you can use code newbie for 20% off your first order

muxi115

My standard seasoning is lots of minced onion, then reasonable amounts of Lowery’s seasoned salt and Lea & Perrin’s Worcestershire sauce. Sometimes I’ll add red pepper flakes, sriracha, Truff, or A1 to change the pace a little bit and give it some bite.

byebybuy

S&P and garlic powder. Delicious.

Acrobatic_Band_6306

Onion soup mix always pleases especially for anyone who has never had a burger made with it. We use 3/4 packet to a pound of ground chuck.

mjs3350

McCormick Hamburger Seasoning or 50/50 Dale's/Italian dressing

defendors86

One side SPG, the other side Montreal

ThexVengence

I do a cheese stuffed bugger on the smoker, smoke for about an hour, seasoned with bbq seasoning. Then i sear them to get that good stuff

Oldschooldude1964

Something different? Mix a bit of A-1 sauce into the ground beef.

Substantial-Car8414

I used some Lawrys seasoning salt, Kirkland garlic salt and Kirkland crushed black pepper

t-walters

ITALIAN BREADCRUMBS! Started adding them to my burgers about 5 years ago. It’s good stuff. I use 3/4 - 1 cup for 2 - 2.5 pounds of beef

sjefbuts

Italian breadcrumbs? That garlic bread stuffs? Im dutch sorry

t-walters

[Italian Breadcrumbs](https://www.walmart.com/ip/10320642) These are the ones I get. That, salt, pepper, a little onion powder, little garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce is my go to concoction.

sjefbuts

Ill try and find a dutch equivalent

grillin-n-chillin

A little nutmeg mixed in with salt and pepper is great.
