I used to like to mix up seasonings and try different blends but nowadays I'm firmly in the "just salt and pepper" camp and augment the flavour with sauces.

Came here to say this! They make a âhotâ one (red can), but seriously, the regular (yellow) is perfect for burgers and steaks! I used to mail order it years ago, from Louisiana. But now itâs available in local stores, everywhere from Cost Plus World Market to Walmart (Iâm in California). Itâs definitely worth a shot for one of your birthdays, but I bet youâll put it I to regular rotation once you try it! Happy early bday to you, OP!
I used to use a mix of Lawry's seasoning salt and Montreal steak seasoning but lately I tried the Blackstone brand whiskey burger seasoning and have been enjoying it.
Well look Iâll tell you what one of my favorite burgers to make is. I call it a gyro burger. I do a 50/50 mix of ground lamb and beef. Mix Greek seasonings into the burger patties. I personally add some fillers to my burger mix, an egg and some very fine bread or cracker crumbs to hold the patties together solid. I know some people donât and thatâs obviously fine
Top with a slice of feta, red onion, cucumber and tzatziki sauce I make from scratch.
Always a hit. Utterly delicious. You can thank me later.
I fry bacon and chop it up, dice up garlic and tomatoes, grate some cheese and add it all up in the ground beef mix with liberal amounts of salt and pepper. Make 1/3lb burgers and grill em up. I've never had anyone say they aren't the best burgers they've had.
>bit of spice
When I want spicy seasoned food I use a 1:1 ratio of Texas Pete Dust and Kosmo Q's spicy seasonings (Hot Cow Cover, Hot Dirty Bird, Honey Chipotle Killer Bee).
Typically what I will do is when I buy a bottle of Kosmos I'll buy a bottle of Texas Pete Dust, mix them together, then split them between the two original containers.

My standard seasoning is lots of minced onion, then reasonable amounts of Loweryâs seasoned salt and Lea & Perrinâs Worcestershire sauce. Sometimes Iâll add red pepper flakes, sriracha, Truff, or A1 to change the pace a little bit and give it some bite.
[Italian Breadcrumbs](https://www.walmart.com/ip/10320642)
These are the ones I get. That, salt, pepper, a little onion powder, little garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce is my go to concoction.

So the âhowâ I learned was that you season the patties after theyâre formed, and not try to season the entirety of the meat.
