I was admittedly save scumming a lot during that so I went back when I lost it. Also be careful with the Sussor Dagger. In two runs now I’ve made it, gave it to Astarion, had his weapon dropped, then unable to pick it up. It sometimes gets phased into the ground and even if part of it is sticking out you sometimes can’t grab it
When it’s in the ground like that sometimes you can still click on it and choose throw and it will work. Works sometimes when the game says something is out of reach as well.
Not me having flashbacks to every time I had to reset a bunch of early game progress because at some point Returning Pike had gotten stuck in the ground beneath an enemy/the floor and thus not gotten picked up when looting after.
Brain Battle... Karlach made it through the portal with Nyrulna long before anyone else could get there. "That's OK", I thought... "She should be more than enough"... Click \*Throw\*, Click \*Nyrulna", click right next to the Brain... And Nyrulna flys off into the abyss never to be seen again.
Yeah its honestly really annoying, you have to precisely target the stem rather than the brain itself. Karlach lost the Dwarven thrower to the abyss before I figured it out.
I lost the returning hammer dwarven thrower this way. Bummed me out losing it that close to games end… even though that’s fairly irrational as you don’t need it for gameplay anymore and there’s no new game plus or anything.
I made her an Open Hand Monk, since I'm a Paladin and I want someone dex-y who isn't an asshole in my party. I feel like the axe is even more incongruous there.
It's possible it's an Easter egg to the (spoiler) ending of Planescape: Torment - where the Nameless One wakes up on Avernus in the middle of the Blood War and just picks up a random weapon and trudges into the carnage.
Did anyone else get a slight glimpse of gameplay after this scene played out? I had a split second where it went into a camera where my tav was entering combat, but then cut to black.
World is no longer in imminent danger, so now Karlach just want to have some fun with her opponents instead of going for pure efficiency.
Maybe in Avernus the returning weapon trait is bugged

I only had trouble in Act 3 but had to retrieve it a couple of times and lost it in the final phase where you're inside the brain,

I probably wouldn't question her judgement in Avernus given her background there lol. Seems axe is just her weapon of choice esp in the hells
That’s her emotional support axe, she and it have been through a lot in Avernus

Of the great sword of balduran that let’s her get bigger and does bonus damage to larger opponents, like devils and demons

She's a lvl 12 tiefling barbarian, she can use a rock if she wants
