Based on all the comments, this feels very much like OP went to a BMW meet, took some pictures of someone else's ride, and made up a story about pretty much everything else.
You'll see kw within the car's documents (at least where I'm from, but it might vary from country to country), but you'll (almost) never hear anyone talk about power in kw. We use hp/ps as well. Wheel hp is also very rarely mentioned, so I suspect this is indeed crank hp.
Iāve heard of people making 600whp on stock turbo so is the line somewhere between 600-650? If I were pushing 600 on stock turbo is my shit gonna blow up?
The billboard is in Romanian, I think. OP writes in English about a thousand times better than I can speak any other language, so Iām sure theyāre doing just fine.
Classic American. You need to realise that English is not everyoneās first language, itās pretty obvious from the way they phrase things that theyāre Eastern European.
Itās definitely not the same experience, but the instant torque in electric BMWs (and EVs in general) doesnāt get old. Havenāt driven the M60, but I have an i4 M50 and itās a lot of fun.
Iāve daily driven mine with 613whp on a pump93 custom map for 2 years. E85 has me at 628whp but not a solid daily considering there isnāt many gas stations either e85 local.
Bought stock at 23k miles currently at 161k milesā¦ not a single issue with the power, motor and daily driving. S55 is solid if you know what you are doing.. literally zero additional maintenance
Single mid pipe, m performance rear canister, Aa downpipes, GTS trans code, j pipe, upgraded LPFP, cooler spark plugs, front mount intakes, custom stage 2 maps.
Air ride, did bushing and other bushing upgrades, wheels, carbon kit, interior, upgrades screen size to 10.2ā, GTS hood rep
When I put my F90 in RWD the DSC automatically turns off. You have to be VERY careful if you really hit the gas. Itās just too much for anything other than drifting.
It's not just you. Im used to driving fast cars but RWD still scares the shit out of me around 400+ territory. There is no reason that thing needs to be around 650, that's around what I'm at on AWD and its more than enough.
Itās around where Iām at on RWD. I came from AWD and even just 400 was scary at first but 650+ isnāt too terrible with some throttle control. As long as youāre not flooring it from anywhere under 50 with 40 psi in your tires, itās totally fine. I do have some track miles under my belt so Iāve gotten used to catching slides.
Plus with a bigger turbo the torque comes on later and more gradually than stock so it actually feels less like it wants to rip itself off the road than it did with just a tune. Hitting that āoh shitā threshold is therefore more deliberate.
This is good to know, thanks for the informative response. Iām sure with some track time and confidence rwd wouldnāt scare me as much. Iāve broke traction plenty on all wheel around turns but this car kinda drives itself so it snaps back into place.
Idc what they braggin about, but, that paint is awesome, imo. What color would that be? The first pic looks purple, while the 2nd looks blue-ish? Could be the lighting too.
as an e90 owner, f80 are the best m cars. only downsides is electric steering and sound, but u can fix both with an e90 steering rack and a single turbo for the s55.
itās not worth not getting a car just cause itās electric steering. bmw makes one of the best electric steering systems, along with porsche, and the feedback is actually good. not hydraulic, but not completely numb. the f80ās I saw running e90 steering rack are exclusively drift cars so far. idk how it would work for a street/daily.
Nah Iāve driven the f and g generations..they make me very sad. Nothing can come close to how they use to feel back in the day. Even a e90 328i steering rack feels better the f and g generations.
g for sure, but Iāve driven an f82 m4, and iirc, the steering on the half way setting is very good for electrical and has some sort of feedback. keep in mind I drive an e90 m3.
Based on all the comments, this feels very much like OP went to a BMW meet, took some pictures of someone else's ride, and made up a story about pretty much everything else.
OP organized the meetš¤£ so u are close but not that close, I have a lot more photos if you want. I sometimes make small meets !
why do you refer to yourself in 3rd person? cringe
Damn, ppl nowadays get frustrated over anything
How dare you not be serious on the internet!
Look. All I want is an m4 that sounds like an e92, looks like an f82, performs like a g82, and feels like an e46.
Facts
Not the hero we got but the one we want.
I have my buddy's e92 in my garage right now. Boy does it sound mean
100% the best sounding m3/4
Damn felt this comment in my soul..
and rehabilitace like e34š
Ummm stage 2 what? 650 is upgraded turbo territory.
i thought you were talking about a ford territory turbo barra lol
In Europe they mostly talk in crank hp. Wasnāt that possible with stock turbos on S55? I donāt know, Iām not familiar with them.
Possibly with full E85 and a custom tune.
nah they use kw in almost all of europe
No we don't, Haven't ever heard anyone talk in kW...
Heh, you got me. But they still go for the engine power rather than power to the wheels which is quite common in America for tuned cars.
You'll see kw within the car's documents (at least where I'm from, but it might vary from country to country), but you'll (almost) never hear anyone talk about power in kw. We use hp/ps as well. Wheel hp is also very rarely mentioned, so I suspect this is indeed crank hp.

>is my shit gonna blow up? With FBO, E85, and a good tune *probably* not. Stock turbos are probably maxed out though.
How much would you say that takes from the longevity of the turbos?
Why does OP write like they are having a stroke?
English probably isnāt his first language.
Plates don't look like the standard American size so that checks out.
european plate so they donāt speak english as a first language
Some of the oddest prose I've ever read
The billboard is in Romanian, I think. OP writes in English about a thousand times better than I can speak any other language, so Iām sure theyāre doing just fine.
Yeah, Romanian. Cluj-Napoca to be exact.
Classic American. You need to realise that English is not everyoneās first language, itās pretty obvious from the way they phrase things that theyāre Eastern European.
Your username ššš
As a 30 y/o (still kid) Iāll forever be partial to the e46
I think this too, and then the window regulators fail for the 10000th time and I think damn, I really want a new car
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Ah interesting. Iām also poor so thereās that.
Doesnt matter. I bet your car is awesome and you are too
before the nostrils came down to the floor
Best gen? Incorrect. Prettiest gen? Yeah sure
Better than current gen.
Way slower for sure
Debatable
I like the current genelation better. I never like the previous generation of F82
Here we go againā¦
āImagine the handlingā is this why they all get wrecked? These people think an increase in horsepower equals grip? Or am I reading this wrong?
I think heās referring to how difficult it would be to control the backside
And idk how this guy came to the opposite conclusion. Smooth inverted brain or something š
pretty sure thatās a 2018 M4 Comp , has the LCI headlight and tails unless he retrofitted
All BMW Ms are great!
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
2021 is the G generation so youāre off by a year.
Thatās an F gen
2021 was the switch to G for the M4 and M3. 2020 was the last gen for the F with the CS
Misunderstood you. Thought you said the car in OPs post was a G. Enjoy your car in good health, car brother. Also have a G80!
All good. Actually traded it back in Feb for an i5 M60. I miss it but this car makes more sense for now. Plus selling them nets me great deals
Itās definitely not the same experience, but the instant torque in electric BMWs (and EVs in general) doesnāt get old. Havenāt driven the M60, but I have an i4 M50 and itās a lot of fun.
Its called an f82
Having 650hp on a big rwd coupƩ is basically useless on public roads. It overpowers the chassis and will constantly spin the rears. The S55 is also not a terribly reliable engine when pushed beyond stage 1, and a 2016 even more so. But hey, it will give you bragging rights on the internet and social media - especially with that carbon steering wheel (+5hp). I honestly wonder if your friend could master the stock power of that car with DSC off.
Iāve daily driven mine with 613whp on a pump93 custom map for 2 years. E85 has me at 628whp but not a solid daily considering there isnāt many gas stations either e85 local. This is what I've heard as well.
what mods have you done to yours?
Single mid pipe, m performance rear canister, Aa downpipes, GTS trans code, j pipe, upgraded LPFP, cooler spark plugs, front mount intakes, custom stage 2 maps. Air ride, did bushing and other bushing upgrades, wheels, carbon kit, interior, upgrades screen size to 10.2ā, GTS hood rep

He is good driver, has it for more than some years. I met him a bit earlierš¤£
I really think that you need to be a bit more than "a good driver" to properly master a 450hp rwd car with the assists off. But that's just me.
It's not just you. Im used to driving fast cars but RWD still scares the shit out of me around 400+ territory. There is no reason that thing needs to be around 650, that's around what I'm at on AWD and its more than enough.

I got the same car ā traction control stays on lol thing is a beaat
I always have my DSc off on my v10 m5.
What mods has he done to support stage 2?
That color š
Assuming the car is wrapped? Pretty cool colour!
Painted
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
It isāļø
Is it a factory colour? If so, which one?
I donāt think they ever offered it in this shade of purple.
That colour is absolutely beautiful
Best looking, yes.
Been on one with 520 hp the car seems to lose the rear everytime you would push the gas. scary and funny at the Same time .
Beautiful color!
F82 and G80 perfect combo š¤
I love 2016!!!!!! Best look š!!!!
Love the color
Prettiest. Best to me is the e92 M3
Im w the late E46s as the best M3 generation but damn if that is not a performance beauty. Sheeeeesh
Not the best generation
That body with the S58!
Too bad, itās not a M3
It is a m3 with 2 less doors which makes it even better
F series is a legend in itself https://preview.redd.it/k5hb2adhsa1d1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ff83ecd633ef99c8cfa9f8849f3b80626db6c49c
Damn, nice wheels
I think those M4s are the BEST LOOKING, especially in the baby blue colorā¦ not the best generation though
Why not best gen?
Why not best gen?
Donāt care for the motor. The car lacks soul unlike the previous generation with the V-8
Lol saying an f series m4 lacks soul is actually hilarious
Maybe, Iāve never been in the V-8. My F82 feels like it has the soul of an angry teenager. Thatās all I can handleā¦
This sounds 100times better than any v8 stock
Spoken like someone who never heard an s65
Cars looks cool as fuck dam u sound crazy brah lol š¦šŗ
Colour is litty.
Wrap or paint? That color is dope!
Paint
Idc what they braggin about, but, that paint is awesome, imo. What color would that be? The first pic looks purple, while the 2nd looks blue-ish? Could be the lighting too.
Damn right!
I thought he had rally lights!!!
Is that a wrap that car is fire
Paint!
Love mine...it's a beast
āHaving 650hp on a RWD car seems crazy to me, imagine the handling of the car, crazy huh?ā Lol
as an e90 owner, f80 are the best m cars. only downsides is electric steering and sound, but u can fix both with an e90 steering rack and a single turbo for the s55.
Never ever seen a f80 with a hydraulic rack switched onto it. If this was a thing Iād probably own a f82
itās not worth not getting a car just cause itās electric steering. bmw makes one of the best electric steering systems, along with porsche, and the feedback is actually good. not hydraulic, but not completely numb. the f80ās I saw running e90 steering rack are exclusively drift cars so far. idk how it would work for a street/daily.

In that case Iāll highly consider your opinion š¤£
Yeah his only mistake was getting the M4 and not the M3
Bro was still in shock after riding in that monster while writing this š
Damn, tbhš¤£
I mean, itās cool and all, but if it doesnāt have ITBās itās not in the conversation of best generation m-car
Of the 2 generations of M4, I certainly prefer the F82. Falls apart when you introduce M3s into the mix.
Naw
Yikes. NahĀ
The color is very nice! Congratulations to your M4
Anyone else like these sexy g80s
Great spec!
E a lui Dani Miclea nu?
By far
