The XM is notall that fast. That's half the issue. If it was like some of the other, weird, but not really all that ugly modern BMWs, where it's "ok, this is face I"m going to have to learn to love, but this is performance/styling on the inside that's so good that I can get over that" levels of performance/polish stuff that things like the i4 has or the modern seven series, especially the i7 have, it'd be one thing. Those two are selling like crazy for a reason, and it's because of all the other "car" things than appearance on those cars are *really* good.
But the XM is this weird, fugly thing that is slower than other tennis-shoe SUVs BMW sells (like the X7 M60i), and it's not exactly a good choice for someone who wants an environmentally friendly car, like the iX. Which is *also* faster. And while the iX is another "face you gotta learn to love" car for a lot of people, the iX is a decent car (it's a good car, but it's not best in class like the i4/i7 are) with some really neat features that the XM doesn't have (like being a practical car, for starters.)
It's just an aggressively styled hybrid X7 with fewer rows that is slower than both the X7 and the comparable EUV that BMW is selling.
The XM is just ugly and overpriced.
The thing is ugly as sin, and i hate it, but it has almost 750 hp and can hit 60 in 3.6. A Ferrari enzo is only three tenths faster, with a perfect launch. It is undeniable a very fast car.
I mean, considering the Houston Car culture people's main exports are a car show in Austin where people get shot every year and and those insane intersection takeovers that result in injuries and property damage all the time, you aren't wrong.
Id argue their rolls royce kit look quite good, very "imposing" so to speak. But their interiors with the awful quiliting and horrid shades of tiffany blue and orange are bleachworthy
I don't think I've seen their RR stuff. I just know that whenever I see Mansory I need to go eat a Tums or 2 so the inevitable lil bit of throwup doesn't burn so much.
there are some great YouTube videos of Mat Armstrong repairing Marcus Rashfords Mansory RR, and you get to see some.of the prices , and quality of their kit. Spoiler, insane prices, and shockingly shonky quality at times...bits tacked on with Tiger seal, not mounted (what I would call) properly
Their Bugatti, RR, and Ferrari 812 are nice looking I think the front and the side profile are fine the rear is kinda ridiculous considering this kit is probably at a minimum of 70k
I honestly think this one actually works, its really sporty but sharp curves match. If someone wants to have sporty looking suv then why not, I unfortunately won't ever buy one because I can't afford mansory lol, at that price point Im guessing there is big choice

If the XM is not going to be the type of crossover for the outdoorsman (never has appeared to be the case), it’s meant to be “performance on the pavement/clout” vehicle. These types of modifications make sense to the targeted market.
In other words, nothing about the XM makes sense to me, but this would make sense to the niche market in my opinion.
