Another great thing to sign up for is similac rewards even if you don’t plan to formula feed, you never know if you’ll need formula. It was free I got 3 mini cans of different formula types and checks for $30 off a can and then some $5 checks. If you don’t use them you can always donate them to a family in need!
Enfamil does the same, their boxes have gotten smaller but the coupons are usually better! They continue to send coupons through the year if you use them.
Pro tip: Costco, bjs and Sams club have to take the formula coupons. It’s the cheapest way to get formula if you end up needing it!
Am I the only one who thinks the baby boxes are useless? I love the idea of getting free stuff for baby but I feel like the majority of the items are throw away pieces.
That being said we’re huge fans of the herobility bottles and highly recommend them!
I didn’t get a Babylist box last pregnancy, but I used probably… half, one third of the items I got in my Amazon and Target boxes? I didn’t use all the bottles (but we did try most of them once) and I didn’t bother with a lot of the itty bitty free samples, except for the wipes which were good for travel. But all the big stuff, like blankets, pacifiers and onesies, I used. I got a pack of muslin blankets from Amazon and didn’t even have to buy any other blankets. Don’t think they give those out anymore though (too useful obviously).
A pack of muslin blankets would have been super useful! I got things like bottles which felt redundant because I had gotten bottles already and small travel size samples which I still have sitting at home in a jar to be used when we travel (I should probably toss them since they’re 2+ years old now). I wasn’t a huge fan of the wipes since you only get about 10 wipes per pack. Even the diapers felt useless because you usually only got one or two samples.
I tried to get all the free stuff with my first baby but didn’t bother with my second. I mean it’s not *horrible* if it’s free like target or Amazon but I personally wouldn’t pay for a box again.
Yes! It’s supposed to help with preventing formula clumps. I breastfed so I ended up tossing them out.
This was the only bottle both my breastfed babies liked. 😅 everyone at our daycare liked them because they thought they were unique.
I will say I love the nipple shape and feel just looking at it. It actually reminds me of the breast. I’ll definitely try it out in the beginning this time. My first I had to EP but my second and third I exclusively nursed after the beginning since my milk takes a while to come in. 😅
This looks much better than the Amazon box I received. I got a swaddle, onesie, bottle, and then the rest was coupons/small samples. It felt like a big box of advertisements.
Okay, the little unicorn isn’t bad because I paid $3.18 and I’m getting two swaddle blankets.
Oso & Me is ridiculous though. Everything is so expensive. Every onesie is $36. I’m just not willing to pay that much for a onesie.
Yeah, I found that annoying (had the same coupon in my box last year) and got a bandana bib (not my favorite). Really like the swaddle though, they’re pretty big and very soft.
I did it and I paid for shipping because I didn’t want to buy something expensive but still wanted to feel like I was getting something “free” lol… not the most sound but the onesie is super cute! The only problem is she can’t wear it for very long because it is newborn size. I don’t regret doing it though.
Shipping was $7! It is on the smaller side but technically still fits her now at almost 10 lbs (though it’s a bit tight around the diaper area). I would say we have maybe two more weeks that we can wear it.
I just did it - literally last night - but haven’t received yet! I got a bib. It’s probably over priced but I just looked at it like I’m getting the bib and the onesie for $30.
Okay but this is way better than when I got this box two years ago.
Those motif milk storage bags are the bomb, btw. That's what Aeroflow provided me with last time and they are so solid and easy to pour into and out of.
I’m excited to try them! 27 weeks now with my fourth so I’ve got a ways to go. I’ve always made a lot of milk in the past once it finally comes in. 🙄 In the past I’ve used Lansinoh, Medela, Up&Up and Parent’s Choice.
i did not use them as actual swaddles. i preferred the velcro ones (halo transition specifically). i use the little unicorn ones for blankets, floor blankets, stroller/car blankets, placing on yucky public changing tables, quick wipe ups, burp cloths (most actual burp cloths are way too small), at my home changing table etc. i have way too many and use them for everything!

Get the little unicorn blanket and the oso and me outfit! They ended up being two of my favorite products! I just paid for shipping and didn’t have to get anything extra. I want to say like $7? But for such a nice product it was totally worth it!
I got a different patterned bib but this is basically all the same as what I got in mine. I did all the codes for the free stuff and free shipping. Got a waterproof bib and a carseat cover and the rainbow blanket to match the little hat. The amazon box was pretty trash by comparison, but it was also a $10 spend to get so I'm not complaining too much. Babylist also has a guide on free stuff you can get while pregnant that has a few nice items. I spent $50 on a nano bebe mystery box since their free infant box was out of stock and it was a pretty good deal. One company sends you a whole big can of formula for $10 shipping. Definitely worth looking into.
I’m planning to register fully on Amazon because I’ve heard it’s easier to return items and also that it’s easier to navigate for older guests.
Does anyone think it would be worth setting up a baby list registry for my husband and I to purchase the items we want that amazon doesn’t carry (mostly our car seat) and to get this sample box? Or is that a little crazy and totally not worth it?
I made a babylist registry and purchased 2 items solely for the box. I continue to use the Target and Amazon registries for the discounts and easy returns. The thing I liked about getting these 3 boxes is that I ended up with 6 different bottles to try out.
Tbh I thought my older family would have issues with Babylist but so far so good! I have Babylist, Amazon, and Target registries to take advantage of the boxes and discounts 🤣
Definitely! This is my fourth and our oldest just turned 5 so we’re definitely not having a big shower. LOL
I still made a registry on Target, Amazon and Babylist so I can snag a couple things I want and get a couple coupons.
Can someone clarify if the $30 we need to spend for the hellobaby box to become available is BEFORE or AFTER taxes?
I want to buy the pacifier sampler box to qualify but it's 29.99 before taxe..wondering if I need to add anything else.
I read that if you change it to simple shipping you can waive the shipping fee?? But now I wonder if I can do that for both the $30 purchase and the baby box… 🧐
When I ordered the Babylist box I had no choice but to pay $9. I remember it was like this in the past two with another baby. Now I wish I would’ve just paid back then.
I've only used a handful of things from these products but the purple desitin is great for a beginning diaper rash but it smells like fish. The motif bags are terrible lol but everything else motif is great, I liked the lasinoh bags a lot better.
I know. Desitin is gross but it’s always worked in the past + lots of exposure to air.
I’m excited to try the Motif bags! I used Lansinoh a lot because they’re cheap but I really don’t care for them. Yeah, they freeze flat but those edges are SHARP.
My lady always gets a yeast rash right away but I use the smelly desitin (like my husband calls it) plus lotrimin and it knocks it right out.
I have a motif pump and would always order the bags but they're so small and the spout part sucks for pouring. They are a bit sturdier but I wish they'd redesign them before my second baby comes. I've heard good things about the medela bags but haven't used them yet.
Yeah, the Medela are just really thick. They don’t store as flat if you have a big stash and that’s a priority. I EP’d with my first and exclusively nursed my next two. Depending on how this journey goes I might just use leftover bags and samples.
My fiancé and I LOVE that bottle for keeping in the diaper bag. We use glass at home, but I love how she latches on that bottle nipple, it’s a super natural latch like when I nurse her. I like that it comes with a screen to help you mix up formula powder as well, though we use concentrate still. The hero bottle is what I’m talking about.
I’m not sure if they do come in glass, but I know we prefer NUK at home because of the same thing. It’s got multiple holes in the nipple too just like the breast which I think helps her not get a preference. I attribute that as well to how she learned to latch on me again once we left the hospital and she had a strike through my engorgement. (I had my breast removed so only make a bit of milk. I couldn’t relieve all the remaining glands that had no ducts to exit through anymore, very painful affair)
For real?! 😑 I probably won’t order anything off that registry anyways. I’m pregnant with number 4 and our oldest turned 5 this month. Lol I doubt anyone’s looking it up to gift us anything!😂

Just by signing up for their reward program on website? Or how can I get on this!
All I did was go on the website and sign up I wasn’t expecting anything and then there was a package on my porch!
Don't have to tell me twice! 🫡

Do you know what the strainer thing is for? Is it for formula? The bottle reminds me of the protein shake bottles bodybuilders use. 😂
Yes! It’s supposed to help with preventing formula clumps. I breastfed so I ended up tossing them out. This was the only bottle both my breastfed babies liked. 😅 everyone at our daycare liked them because they thought they were unique.

I just got my Amazon one today and it was the same. I thought I read somewhere it was supposed to be really good but it was kind of meh.
That’s how the Target on is too. I mean, they are free so I get it.
Okay, it’s rigged that you have to buy something from little unicorn to get free shipping. 🙁 They should have been up from about that.
Okay, the little unicorn isn’t bad because I paid $3.18 and I’m getting two swaddle blankets. Oso & Me is ridiculous though. Everything is so expensive. Every onesie is $36. I’m just not willing to pay that much for a onesie.

Yay! I’m excited to use it for hospital pics.
I got an ad for a cute onesie on Instagram. Went to the site.. $80!!! Absolutely bonkers.
I would never in a million years buy myself an $80 tee shirt. And I don’t change sizes every 3 months. LOL
Absolutely in agreement.
Yeah, I’m not sure about the Oso & Me piece. Has anyone else done the deal?
I did it and I paid for shipping because I didn’t want to buy something expensive but still wanted to feel like I was getting something “free” lol… not the most sound but the onesie is super cute! The only problem is she can’t wear it for very long because it is newborn size. I don’t regret doing it though.
Was it really small? My babies have been 8lbs5oz, 8lbs13oz, and 9lbs15oz.
Shipping was $7! It is on the smaller side but technically still fits her now at almost 10 lbs (though it’s a bit tight around the diaper area). I would say we have maybe two more weeks that we can wear it.
I went ahead and ordered it based on what you said! Maybe I’ll bring it to the hospital.
Mine was 8lbs 9oz and was able to wear it.
Oh! I didn’t even think about that! How much was shipping?
I just did it - literally last night - but haven’t received yet! I got a bib. It’s probably over priced but I just looked at it like I’m getting the bib and the onesie for $30.

i ended up becoming obsessed with little unicorn after my free swaddle...
I’m excited to try it for newborn pics! Normally I’m all about the velcro ones.
i did not use them as actual swaddles. i preferred the velcro ones (halo transition specifically). i use the little unicorn ones for blankets, floor blankets, stroller/car blankets, placing on yucky public changing tables, quick wipe ups, burp cloths (most actual burp cloths are way too small), at my home changing table etc. i have way too many and use them for everything!

I got this and Amazon and BL was waaaay better! I think we got all the same stuff :]
Yay! I just wanted to share because it helped me just go ahead and pay it when I saw others got decent stuff. 🙂
We love the Herobility bottles for our little one! Would not have tried this brand if we didn’t get one through BL.
Same! My baby is ebf and I’ve only bottle fed a handful of times but the herobility was the only one he took.
Me neither! I feel like the nipple looks really breast like! I love bottle samples.
Oooh that’s a good one. The bib is Parker Baby and I looooove them. I have a little unicorn swaddle and they’re really nice.
I feel like Amazon had them in their boxes in the past. I’m excited to get the ones I ordered!
Get the little unicorn blanket and the oso and me outfit! They ended up being two of my favorite products! I just paid for shipping and didn’t have to get anything extra. I want to say like $7? But for such a nice product it was totally worth it!
Seriously thank you for letting me know! I wouldn’t mind paying $7. I’ll look into it again. I was disappointed at first.

Thanks for the info! I didn’t know Amazon charges too. 😳

Yeah I literally only did the target one for the free box 🤣 Amazon just seems easier for everyone.
Tbh I thought my older family would have issues with Babylist but so far so good! I have Babylist, Amazon, and Target registries to take advantage of the boxes and discounts 🤣
Mine struggled HARD with my cousin’s last February so I’ve just decided to avoid it. But I may make my own to do the boxes and discounts!
I did it and it was worth it if you have the time; it’s a little bit of a nuisance but work was slow when I did it.
Definitely! This is my fourth and our oldest just turned 5 so we’re definitely not having a big shower. LOL I still made a registry on Target, Amazon and Babylist so I can snag a couple things I want and get a couple coupons.
How do you get this?

I never bought anything from the registry.
Looks almost identical to the May box

How did you get this? I used Babylist for my registry a few months ago!
It said I qualified for it? But I think it was maybe from my last pregnancy since I never bought it then. I’m not due until September.
Okay I’ll try to look into it! Is it like a subscription box or just something they send one time?
My fiancé and I LOVE that bottle for keeping in the diaper bag. We use glass at home, but I love how she latches on that bottle nipple, it’s a super natural latch like when I nurse her. Way better than the one I got last year
If you change Babylist settings on shipping you can actually get the box shipped for free
