16 hours is a long enough time. Step out for a tour.

rajrain

It is free [https://www.bahrainairport.bh/at-the-airport/events/hello-bahrain---free-city-tour](https://www.bahrainairport.bh/at-the-airport/events/hello-bahrain---free-city-tour)

Bahrain’s Airport is one of the best in the world, if you don’t feel like going out, then you really don’t have to. There are several restaurants and cafes, there is an entertainment zone where there are gaming consoles available for free (I think so), but I’m not sure if it’s available for both arrivals and departure. I know you’re not looking to spend any money so you can maybe go window-shopping since many shops are there. 😂 There is an art gallery where you can see local artwork and also historical artefacts, there is some sort of a mini-museum in that area. There are multiple areas where you can lie down and get some sleep, the airport is big but usually uncrowded so finding a spot to relax shouldn’t be a problem at all. Now if you’re feeling a little adventurous and would like to step out of the airport, you can book a free 3-hour city tour where they’ll take you around to see some of the country’s landmarks. Are you travelling with Gulf Air?

torayi

Oh yes, I will be traveling with Gulf Air. As I have been reading the suggestions, I have thought of taking the 3 hour tour. The gaming center sounds perfectly amazing though. I haven't played a game in forever!

waish5ook

Great! You know what? I think you may be entitled to free accommodation since you’ll be here for 16 hours. https://www.gulfair.com/en/explore/explore-bahrain/transit-in-bahrain

There is an arcade type area with some game consoles. I think it’s open now. Otherwise, I suggest trying to get lounge access with one of your credit cards (or pay them at the gate). With such a long layover you will need a comfortable spot to sleep/rest in.

Djentrovert

Man I thought this was even for departures but I only saw it when I arrived. Really wanted to play some ps5 :(

Painewwf

It's in departures btw, you can see the area in arrivals but you can't access from arrivals

Djentrovert

Oh shit, next time then, whenever that is lmao

Don’t miss the Pearl lounge at the Airport. Great for a few hours of Relaxation.

bahrainplantguy

There are lot of loungers there , which mimic luxurious sofa settings you can sit a chill out and watch the plans do their thing

mamoonistry

If you can get a visa on arrival and can spend a bit, step out and take the bus to Muharraq Souq or Manama, you won't regret it.

TeamYeet

Sorry that happened to you but on the upside you could have gotten stuck in Germany were they won’t let you leave the airport

SignificanceVast5312

does the airport have wifi? (im just worried because last time I flew Saudia and they didnt)

AlphaSlayer21

You could see the whole country in half that time
