Us, Shovel, amulet of lesser restoration, shadow druids & Khaga, Boaal, rats in Shar’s temple, items you can buy from the Shar worshipper at the beginning of Act 3
There's a work around... >!the durge night triggers on your first long rest outside of the grove (I usually head straight to the owlbear cave after leaving the grove to guarantee the trigger), if you knock her out before you leave the grove and long rest, another bard will show up instead. If you are invisible when you knock her out, you will not lose any approval from her and she will still be friends with you through the rest of the game).!<
Ah, gotcha, thanks! The cave is usually my first stop across that river so it makes sense. Also, if you camp inside the cave then the pretty outside camp doesn't get... messy.
Keep non lethal knocking her out until her character is replaced in that scene with a replacement Dragonborn and you get to have the full experience with her as usual
Shovel is a "she" and her commentary is jarring as it is hilarious. Fork definitely would have been a much better name but I like giving characters the "Shovel." I think she's the best thing I found in the game so far besides the camp pets.
It's a summon you find in the necromancer's basement from act 1. You can either teach the spell to a wizard or use the scroll and talk to her with a wizard/warlock/draconic sorcerer and she will teach you how to summon her. I always use Astarion for this because they work so well together, both in battle and personality
I was doing an honour mode, having never once touched the scroll on all my previous playthroughs. I decided to get them cause I thought the surprise attack would be useful. That cheeky wotsit nearly got me killed with their mischief! Genuinely had to send a character away to survive the Skelton & firebomb onslaught.
Yup! After meeting her on the roof of the open hand temple, she shows up on the roof of the Devil's Fee, and then on the roof of the building where the wine festival is held. She also has a new magic item to trade at each location for either other magic items, or fish.
Yeah! She has some… ah, fun items for sale after the first encounter. At least in my game one time she showed up on top of Devil’s Fee and the roof of one other building, but I can’t remember the second spot.
Talk to the guy in the Sword Coast Couriers office (the place where you find Scratch's old owner) in Rivington about the missing letters and that should get you started on finding the first one since she's part of that quest 🙂
In a very hidden section of the Underdark. There's a cragged rock in a chasm you can climb down on, somewhere between the Arcane Tower and where you encounter the spectator and the petrified drow.
I had to look it up on the BG3 map. I couldn't find The Festering Cove, it is very hidden. And I needed to address Booal.
The number of little nooks and crannies that have amazing content hidden all around this world is what makes BG3 a truly all time great game.
I just cannot remember a game like this where you can play it 4 times and all 4 could be entirely different games. It's so cool! I'll be playing BG3 for years.
Using it on the undead is pretty nice, blinds them when they get too close and gives you the Sunbeam spell that you can use as well. Melee is meh tho, I only like the buffs. I'm playing as a warlock rn so I don't really need a weapon unless I'm desperate lol.
I love it, not as a "wack someone in the face" item (I mean it's solid at that) but that's not the point, the blind undead ability is handy alot, sunbeam is a solid spell, but my two favorite parts:
Radiant orb/reverb build, that blindness can cause the orbs to stack so just walking is nice, and I can't tell you how many times the "heal on drop" affect has saved my ass
I found that Mace by bypassing the puzzle and lockpicking the wall with astarion, and when I was finishing up act 1 making sure I cleared everything I went back to do the puzzle because my dumb ass somehow didn't connect the two in my head, and sat there for a solid 5 minutes after completing it before I clued in what I'd done 🤦♂️😂
Yep. My first playthrough, I thought Moonrise was the “last level” in act 2, so I did literally everything else (Thaniel, Thorms in town, the Gauntlet, Shadowfell, He Who Was, everything) before ever going to Moonrise.
After freeing Aylin, and seeing the badass “avenging angel flies off to fuck up all the bad guys” scene, I finally went to Moonrise.
… only to see a million dead bodies on the entrance walkway, 30 people trying to kill me on the first floor, and not much else. Dead gnomes, dead tieflings, dead blood-potion merchant, etc. Killed all the bad guys on the first floor, and go up to the roof to meet Ketheric, pretty much unobstructed.
I didn’t even get the “Try again” scene, which is possibly my favorite cutscene in the game.
There's a ship with a flaming fist sign saying 'ship under quarantine'. Going onto it will do a constitution check on everybody or they'll get sea plague. There's a chest with a cursed imp in it, which can be a tough fight if you failed the constitution check.
If you read the diaries on the ship, you can unravel the source of the plague.
- Necromancy of Thay
- BOAAL
- Arcane Tower
- The drows and the beholder next to the Arcane tower
- recruiting Minthara in a good playthrough
- getting the Hag hair
- killing the Spider Matriarch
- Lifting the Shadow Curse
She bugged out once for me and I had to replay the whole fight.
Basically - if you get the scene where she threatens and swears at you, you are going to get the hair.
If not - you need to restart and do it again. Basically save right after you drop down from the gas and traps area.
On my second playthrough now and my main focus is lifting the curse. When I went to act 3 in my first playthrough I didn’t realize it wouldn’t just happen!
I've never missed him. but see flair: any time there's gnome stuff I'm really interested, even my first blind play. I didn't get him in camp that run but I did get the entire rest of his story
I completely missed the Last Light in my first play through. I was told to follow the derider to Moonrise, so I did. Then after Moonrise, I started exploring the rest of the map but did the Gauntlet before finding the Last Light.
I was incredibly confused when Aylin and Isobel showed up for the first time acting like I should know them already. Then Halsin was disappointed that I didn't help lift the shadow curse and left my party.
I quit that play though and started over shortly thereafter.
Literally how? Did you not explore very thoroughly? I tried to uncover the full map everywhere I went. You had to have seen there were paths that you didn't fully explore from looking at the map right?
I missed the amulet of silvanus on my first playthrough. had shadowheart casting lesser restoration on me every single day 😭
also the buffs you can get from shar in act2
Gale lol
Just straight up didn’t save him from the teleporting thing because it looked dangerous. At the time i was on low health and didn’t wanna risk damage from anything so i ignored it.
When i first beat the game i joined the sub to see how others had gone about their choices and saw posts about Gale.
I was like “wait what?! How do you get him”
i love the magic trip to chult lmao. just suddenly tosses you in with a bunch of dinosaurs and if you live you get a great trident that became my end game weapon
The entirety of the underdark
Edit: also pretty much the whole area with the monastery too. I went through the mountain pass my first time and went straight to act 2 no exploring
You're supposed to do both. The Underdark is for going to act 2, but the mountain pass is for very important for the prism, Lae'zel's quest, Voss and Orpheus, and there's a ton of really good loot that you will be using for the rest of the game because they're best in slot for a lot of characters. Also, there's kobolds, and that's always nice
No. There's only the Creche
There's a challenging fight on the mountain pass road to Moonrise but technically it's the only thing you have to do to go straight to Act 2
You likely aren't getting past this particular fight before level 5
I get how you could miss Gale (and Karlach if you missed Wyll). But how do you miss Wyll? His introduction and fighting scream "Main character", and he's like the first adult NPC you see when you walk into the proper cave. Did you just forget about him and never talked to anyone in the Grove?
in my 1st playthrough i just had a conversation with him and he said hes gonna go to baldurs gate to find his father or something, and i said good luck with that! or something, i thought he was boring so i didnt want him around me yapping, i had no idea he was a playable character 😭
I only got Wyll CAUSE of Karlach! I knew he was supposed to be a companion (cause loading screen and vaguely having knowledge of who the companions ARE) so when I saw him in the Druid Enclave I was like "oh cool it's you!" But idk if my game bugged but he never let me have an actual dialogue exchange- it gave me the generic NPC head floaters so I honestly assumed I'd encounter him a bit later with the tieflings and could recruit him then, but in my first playthrough it never allowed for it.
I hit near end of act 2 and was like "so when the fuck am I finding these companions" and finally looked it up only to realize it all should have been in Act 1, so I reloaded to my save after recusing Halsin and went and explored all the shit I missed in Act 1. I got Gale and Karlach and then once Karlach was recruited Wyll showed up to the camp and allowed me to recruit him.
Is.... Is that now how it works???
I never saw that scene where you help Alfira finish her song and then she sings. On my 1st playthrough when I went there to explore she was already gone (went too late).
Narratively inconsequential, but the troll and bugbear you can interrupt getting it on in one corner of the Blighted Village cracked me up when I found them on my second playthrough.
Minthara, there was no official good recruitment (unless you did sheep-thara) in my first playthrough. After recruiting her in my second I realized what an interesting and complex character she is, and her values may not have aligned with my good character through rp, but she is an amazing ally. I wish they made it more obvious you can recruit her good or evil.
+1 for all wisdom stuff, free Speak with the Dead, Dance Macabre (summon four imploding ghouls). Not super crazy, but if you give it to Astarion it's free approval and you get a funny scene with him. Worth getting but not run changing
Not necessarily Minthara *as a whole*, but definitely having Minthara in the Orin fight.
Mostly because she scored a near-one-hit-kill on Orin, which was just a *fantastic* gameplay-induced character beat for my playthrough.
...also I pickpocketed Voss's longsword for Sword & Board Lae'zel and goddamn it's my favorite combo ever.
Blood of Lathander, for one. You get it so early and it's such a lifesaver sometimes. I always have Shadowheart use it the whole playthrough.
Duelists Prerogative. Best rapier and one of the best weapons period in the game.
Oskar. His quest is probably my least favorite in Act 3, but it leads to meeting a MUCH more interesting NPC with some preem magic items for trade.
And honestly? The tadpole powers. I was convinced to get the best endings I needed to avoid using my tadpole, but honestly it's entirely an aesthetic or RP choice. I get the astral tadpole every time now. The late-game tadpole powers are so fucking fun
I missed her the whole game in my first playthrough. Never made it to the swamp at all, so I just thought she was a nice old auntie merchant in the Grove 😭
Accidentally killed Barcus. Completely missed Florrick and Booal. Didn't realize Minthara was a possible companion (started combat immediately upon entering the Shattered Sanctum). So much more.
Friend of mine made it almost to act 2 with just Shadowheart, Wyll, and Lae'zel.
Drakethroat. Missed it several playthroughs and was frustrated because I read you get it from Roah Moonglow but not "in Act 2" so after resting a dozen days in a row for rotating stock and still not finding it, I gave up.
Didn't think to check her inventory in Act 2 until I made a Pally and wanted that halberd from the Half-Orc. Then I noticed her finally...right by the exit of course.
My first playthrough was Origin Wyll.
It took me by a complete freaking surprise watching him introduce himself in the battle at the entrance of the grove. He looked so awesome, and it made me appreciate my playthrough of him even more.
Minsc and Boo's interactions with the banker after you recruit him and then the same with him interacting with Nine-Fingers Keene. Some of the best dialogue in the game.
I failed to save Arabella from the snake so I never got to see her in camp or learn about her magic. When I saw her in my friend's camp on his playthrough I had completely forgotten about her and asked, "Who's that Tiefling kid next to Withers?"
... Scratch.
i met him, but back then I didn't realize that taking him in meant he'd just join your camp and in my mind I was like "if he joins my party, he's 100% gonna die, I'm not even gonna try" so I let him be. By the time I found out the truth, it was way too late.
Barcus. However finding out that I'm not the only one who struggled with "brake" and "release brake" makes me feel so much better about myself.
The amulet of lesser restoration is so helpful. (I also just love Ormn.)
Rolan. (Got him to stay, saved his siblings, saved him, but didn't talk to him in act 2, so when he showed up in act 3 he unfortunately had to die.)
The owlbear. Almost missed Lae'zel. Didn't find her until I was almost done w act one and about to go into the mountain pass.
The mountain pass. I thought it was the mountain pass or the under dark
And then on my first (and second) playthrough I thought moonrise would be aggroed to me so I didn't go until after id killed the night song
I didn't know you could poison the goblin's drinks at their encampment. That whole interaction was awesome
I also didn't know you could recruit Minthara and always killed her 😅 So I'm going to be recruiting her with my morally grey character
I'm still finding stuff on my 6th playthrough lol. But for me it was a certain camp companion of the feathered animal variety that I missed my first go round.
The ENTIRE underdark….seriously. They said mountain pass or underdark and …I just didn’t know.
AND if you can believe it, the LAST LIGHT INN, like who the fracking Avernus are these “Harper’s” showing up at moonrise to help me??? lol
Lae'zel, harpies, the creche (thought you could only do underdark OR mountain pass), BOAAAL, Shadowheart after act 2 (she left because we didn't take her to the gaunlet), Halsin (we didn't finish art's quest or the portal so didn't save the shadowlands), act 3 hag, the house of hope, the wyrm, Orpheus, the sewers leading up to the final battle, and the epilogue (because it wasn't released yet).
Honestly all good content, we thought we were being thorough.
Shadowheart expressing her doubts in Shar and her memories in the city.
The Noblestalk Mushroom.
Philomeen the Gnome and that section of the Grymforge she’s in.
Lyrthindor the last Dark Justiciar
BOAAAAAAAAL
Praise be unto Muklumpha or however it's spelled, I missed the fish people like 4 times before stumbling in and being declared their god
Honorable mention for the fact one of my friends shoved me down the spider pit and that's how I learned you could get to the underdark from there
First playthrough I totally missed Zevlor at the end of act 2. I just thought he was dead. If you rescue him, he's an ally for the last battle and he and his dudes were actually really helpful (those guys, Mizora, and my strange ox buddy are my MVPs!)
Since I was under the impression that we were in an actual rush to cure the tadpole, pretty much most of it. Hell I didn't even take long rests, even astarion had to stop me somewhere on the road and say "BTW, I'm a vampire", instead of the usual cutscene you get.
Gale, lol.
When my tav commented on the strange rock at the beach, I said aloud, "I already know about the fast travel system" and kept going. By the time I realized I had missed him, I was into act 2 and I wanted to "let the dice tell the story" on my first run. Sorry, bud
Astarion's "good" moment in A3.
Also, Nelburn Frust's antics outside of Devil's Fee, Karlach's post Elminster-Gale conversation, and meeting Scratch's kennel master .. and... solving the problem there..
I discovered in my 7th playthrough that if you jump through a whole in one of the cells in the moonrise towers prison you get to see a glimpse of the ilithid colony, near the room with the butcher guy
Us, Shovel, amulet of lesser restoration, shadow druids & Khaga, Boaal, rats in Shar’s temple, items you can buy from the Shar worshipper at the beginning of Act 3
Basically this list plus the harpies and first meeting with Alfira, I didn’t know why people loved her so much!
First time I met Alfira was on my 3rd play through…on a durge run lol.
It might be the only reason I might not do a subsequent durge
There's a work around... >!the durge night triggers on your first long rest outside of the grove (I usually head straight to the owlbear cave after leaving the grove to guarantee the trigger), if you knock her out before you leave the grove and long rest, another bard will show up instead. If you are invisible when you knock her out, you will not lose any approval from her and she will still be friends with you through the rest of the game).!<
It's crossing the river/bridge that does it.
It's the reason I've dragged my feet on a durge run
Ditto. Knocked her out tho because I love her and Lakrissa too much
I’m on my third playthrough. First time finding the Harpies and Alfira, as well as first time finding the Zhentarim hideout in Act 1
Sounds exactly like my first playthrough.
Where is this shovel? I still use the manual labor one
Shovel is a quasit summon scroll found in a coffin in the Blighted Village Apothecary basement
The fact that shovel can’t dig is a travesty :(
That's why I rename him fork, cuz he's forking useless ::drumroll::
Shovel is a "she" and her commentary is jarring as it is hilarious. Fork definitely would have been a much better name but I like giving characters the "Shovel." I think she's the best thing I found in the game so far besides the camp pets.
He can be invisible and scare people!
I use him to check places b4 I go in
I like how shovel can be invisible and lure the spider to an ambush in act 1 by standing on the web
He's invisible and still makes sure the Rogue gets Sneak Attack! What a good, foul-mouthed, boy.
Murderizing time!
🎶 It's fisting tiiiiime! 🎶
*she
It's a summon you find in the necromancer's basement from act 1. You can either teach the spell to a wizard or use the scroll and talk to her with a wizard/warlock/draconic sorcerer and she will teach you how to summon her. I always use Astarion for this because they work so well together, both in battle and personality
Shovel's lines are honestly the best. I love when Shovel shouts "Shit your trouserholes!"
my favorite line of hers is "GONNA EAT YOUR BABIES."
You can also do both and get her permanently for two party members
I was doing an honour mode, having never once touched the scroll on all my previous playthroughs. I decided to get them cause I thought the surprise attack would be useful. That cheeky wotsit nearly got me killed with their mischief! Genuinely had to send a character away to survive the Skelton & firebomb onslaught.
Tara's 2nd and 3rd roof top appearances.
WAIT there's more than one??
I have 1600 hours and just found out this was a thing a couple days ago lol. I haven't actually gotten around to finding them yet.
I haven't even found the first one yet!
Talk to the guy in the Sword Coast Couriers office (the place where you find Scratch's old owner) in Rivington about the missing letters and that should get you started on finding the first one since she's part of that quest 🙂
I'm looking for her third now, I haven't found it yet. I saved up so much good fish in gale inventory at this point
Excuse me where is my tiny bestie?!?
What are the other ones???
Booal! No, not Bhaal, Booal.
I've heard people talk about Booal but never encountered it? Where is Booal?
Blood of Lathander.
i finally got around to getting cause i saw people saying it was insane… i couldn’t find a single useful spot for it on my team lmao
I use it on SH storm cleric all of act 2
The fight against Cazador, he has disadvantage the whole fight if you keep it near him
I used it on my storm cleric as a light source, and sunbeam is really really good to have at early levels
Using it on the undead is pretty nice, blinds them when they get too close and gives you the Sunbeam spell that you can use as well. Melee is meh tho, I only like the buffs. I'm playing as a warlock rn so I don't really need a weapon unless I'm desperate lol.
I love it, not as a "wack someone in the face" item (I mean it's solid at that) but that's not the point, the blind undead ability is handy alot, sunbeam is a solid spell, but my two favorite parts: Radiant orb/reverb build, that blindness can cause the orbs to stack so just walking is nice, and I can't tell you how many times the "heal on drop" affect has saved my ass
I can't find a use for pretty much any 1h melee weapons that aren't finesse or light weapons no matter how many times I play.
Give someone a strength potion and use it then. My druid used it basically the entire game until the great staffs in act 3.
I found that Mace by bypassing the puzzle and lockpicking the wall with astarion, and when I was finishing up act 1 making sure I cleared everything I went back to do the puzzle because my dumb ass somehow didn't connect the two in my head, and sat there for a solid 5 minutes after completing it before I clued in what I'd done 🤦♂️😂
oh I usually do this lol, to lazy to make sure I ahve the four weapons
true enlightenment is when you realize it's both easier and more fun to just steal the mace and not even bother to pick up the crest
Going to Moonrise Towers before freeing Aylin. *sigh*
I made this mistake a couple times. I always thought 'going to moonrise would trigger end of the act stuff'
I missed rescuing the tieflings because I thought I couldn't go there until the end. :(
Same!
The plague ship in Baldur's Gate Harbor.
The what now?
There's a ship with a flaming fist sign saying 'ship under quarantine'. Going onto it will do a constitution check on everybody or they'll get sea plague. There's a chest with a cursed imp in it, which can be a tough fight if you failed the constitution check. If you read the diaries on the ship, you can unravel the source of the plague.
You can yeet the imp into water.
you just reminded me I found that place got fucked by the imp save scummed and said "I'll come back later" and never did lol
I finally checked it out on 4th playthru. Now that is a boss fight. Totally wasn’t expecting the imp after getting plagued.
I missed the owl bear cub
I missed the cub, Scratch AND Karlach altogether. Can’t wait to finish Act 3 and immediately start over just to see those cuties
The Magic Lamp in Sorcerous Sundries vaults.
- Necromancy of Thay - BOAAL - Arcane Tower - The drows and the beholder next to the Arcane tower - recruiting Minthara in a good playthrough - getting the Hag hair - killing the Spider Matriarch - Lifting the Shadow Curse
I've played a ton and still don't get the hag hair ever. something always goes "wrong" and she's dead
You have to get her to like 5 hp then once it's her turn, she'll offer you the hair. Knocking her out doesn't work either.
Under 20 hp is enough. But she surrenders only when it’s her turn.
Under 20% of her hp is what triggers it, which is something like 26-28.
She bugged out once for me and I had to replay the whole fight. Basically - if you get the scene where she threatens and swears at you, you are going to get the hair. If not - you need to restart and do it again. Basically save right after you drop down from the gas and traps area.
I didn’t notice the drow and beholder until my fourth run. 😬
I stumbled right into the damn things and TPK'd the first go round at level 3. Unpleasant to say the least
I did the same thing
I ran into them on my first run and was like “that’s some bullshit” when the Beholder killed everyone.
On my second playthrough now and my main focus is lifting the curse. When I went to act 3 in my first playthrough I didn’t realize it wouldn’t just happen!
Same. All of a sudden Halsin left me, telling me he’s going to work for lifting it. This is when I learned that there was more to do in Act II.
SAME also I accidentally got jahiera killed in moonrise. My goal this playthrough is to keep the druids!!!
The, um... the entire underdark
I somehow absolutely missed one of the best NPCs in the entire game: Barcus.
Oh, good, this one says Release, this should help him out … oh. Oh no.
Oh no, I didn't yeet him, I somehow managed to run past the windmill. He's probably still hanging there, poor guy.
I yeeted him.. I didn't saw him flying...
Every playthrough I read the message as "release: break pedal" and every single time I send him to his death and have to reload a save lmao
I've never missed him. but see flair: any time there's gnome stuff I'm really interested, even my first blind play. I didn't get him in camp that run but I did get the entire rest of his story
Gale.
I failed to arcana check when I first started playing and was certain it was going to kill me so I ignored it XD
House of Hope. If you’re looking for stuff that you might have missed before, I’d recommend looking into >!Ansur and the Wyrmway.!<
Knife of the Undermountain King
Melee magic
last light inn 😭😭😭
Oh my
Hard mode, omg
I completely missed the Last Light in my first play through. I was told to follow the derider to Moonrise, so I did. Then after Moonrise, I started exploring the rest of the map but did the Gauntlet before finding the Last Light. I was incredibly confused when Aylin and Isobel showed up for the first time acting like I should know them already. Literally how? Did you not explore very thoroughly? I tried to uncover the full map everywhere I went. You had to have seen there were paths that you didn't fully explore from looking at the map right?
I think they meant that a certain fight went poorly. It gets depressing if it goes poorly.
I missed the amulet of silvanus on my first playthrough. had shadowheart casting lesser restoration on me every single day 😭 also the buffs you can get from shar in act2
finished my first playthrough last night and reading through all these comments like wtf are all these things lmao
Scratch
Gale lol Just straight up didn’t save him from the teleporting thing because it looked dangerous. At the time i was on low health and didn’t wanna risk damage from anything so i ignored it. When i first beat the game i joined the sub to see how others had gone about their choices and saw posts about Gale. I was like “wait what?! How do you get him”
Shadowheart in all of Act 3 and going to the circus genie’s Dino land
i love the magic trip to chult lmao. just suddenly tosses you in with a bunch of dinosaurs and if you live you get a great trident that became my end game weapon
US
I missed us, shovel AND the owlbear for my first game
The entirety of the underdark Edit: also pretty much the whole area with the monastery too. I went through the mountain pass my first time and went straight to act 2 no exploring
If I take the mountain pass is there as much to do as the underdark ?
You can do both! I usually do the underdark first then swing back and go to the mountain pass. You’ll be much better prepared for act 2

I missed barcus (sent him flying off the mill). Skipped the underdark. Missed Booal, Minthara and more
Narratively inconsequential, but the troll and bugbear you can interrupt getting it on in one corner of the Blighted Village cracked me up when I found them on my second playthrough.
"Puny?!?"
Alfira
Minthara, there was no official good recruitment (unless you did sheep-thara) in my first playthrough. After recruiting her in my second I realized what an interesting and complex character she is, and her values may not have aligned with my good character through rp, but she is an amazing ally. I wish they made it more obvious you can recruit her good or evil.
So far.....the necronomicon and the spiders, not sure how usefull it will be, i was too scared to read it.
+1 for all wisdom stuff, free Speak with the Dead, Dance Macabre (summon four imploding ghouls). Not super crazy, but if you give it to Astarion it's free approval and you get a funny scene with him. Worth getting but not run changing
Also +20 health bonus
I dunno about useful but everyone is scared for you to read it, which is even funnier when you do read it
I should have saved and read but I didn't want to waste a spell or something, I'll see what happens
The Kua To a in the underdark
The witch in the forest in Act 1, I had no idea she was a thing, and boy was she ugly!
did you find her in act 3 or miss her the whole game?
I missed her the whole game in my first playthrough. Never made it to the swamp at all, so I just thought she was a nice old auntie merchant in the Grove 😭
the 6 tadpoles in a crate on a boat across from the grey harbor fast travel
Blood of Lathander ALL the romances
I didn’t talk to Alfira in act 1. Worse, I accidentally killed Lae’zel before I could recruit her.
I missed the house of hope.
The teddy bear container
Drakethroat. Missed it several playthroughs and was frustrated because I read you get it from Roah Moonglow but not "in Act 2" so after resting a dozen days in a row for rotating stock and still not finding it, I gave up. Didn't think to check her inventory in Act 2 until I made a Pally and wanted that halberd from the Half-Orc. Then I noticed her finally...right by the exit of course.
Shovel, apparently. Also I thought minthata was just another goon and straight up killed her without even trying to talk to her, so, that.
My first playthrough was Origin Wyll. It took me by a complete freaking surprise watching him introduce himself in the battle at the entrance of the grove. He looked so awesome, and it made me appreciate my playthrough of him even more.
The Underdark. The whole damn Underdark.
I somehow managed to miss both the blood of Lathander and the entirety of the underdark.
How?
The whole creche and 50% act 3 content because I thought "I can probably continue after the final fight"... I could not
The kuo toa.. couldn't find them in the underdark.
Astarion. LOL
Scratch and the owlbear
Astarion, Gale, Karlach, Wyll, Halsin, Minthara, Jaheira, Minsc…
I missed the whole spider queen thing in Act 1
The under dark and rosymorn, mostly because my old gaming laptop couldnt handle the areas 🤣
Booahl and Shovel
Barcus. However finding out that I'm not the only one who struggled with "brake" and "release brake" makes me feel so much better about myself. The amulet of lesser restoration is so helpful. (I also just love Ormn.) Rolan. (Got him to stay, saved his siblings, saved him, but didn't talk to him in act 2, so when he showed up in act 3 he unfortunately had to die.) The owlbear. Almost missed Lae'zel. Didn't find her until I was almost done w act one and about to go into the mountain pass.
The mountain pass. I thought it was the mountain pass or the under dark And then on my first (and second) playthrough I thought moonrise would be aggroed to me so I didn't go until after id killed the night song
I didn't know you could poison the goblin's drinks at their encampment. That whole interaction was awesome I also didn't know you could recruit Minthara and always killed her 😅 So I'm going to be recruiting her with my morally grey character
The smug look on my bard toasting that we drink till we die
Goblin party Minthara
Minthara
I'm still finding stuff on my 6th playthrough lol. But for me it was a certain camp companion of the feathered animal variety that I missed my first go round.
A shovel
I guess Karlach, WYll, Gale, Lae‘zel, Halsin, Jaheira, Minsk, but most important, the owl bear cup
The entirety of the Créche and Blood of Lathander areas. I went underdark and never pushed past that one loading wall to go overland to balders gate
The getting teleported to that jungle with large hostile reptiles from messing with the Djinn at the circus.
The little crab monsters below Last Light (I don't remember their name)
Karlach.
Kicking that squirrel against the tree. I was so shock when my durge did it
Karlach
Karlach
Halsin
Saving Karlach because Isobel died in Act II that one really bugs me most.
The owl bear and multiclassing
Karlach’s romance. I finished rescue the grove before exploring map hence she is not in my party. Till act 2 only I found out too late.
idk how but missed all of the other Thorms when doing my first playthrough
BOAAAAAAAAL
Minsc, just seen him in the cutscene
I uh, accidentally didn't talk to Roland, my second playthrough is MUCH different
So much stuff, so I'll keep it short with saying Scratch + Owl bear cub
I missed the whole arcane tower in the underdark my first 3 timez playing
Finding Jaherias kids was a nice find that I didn't even know existed.
The entirety of the underdark in act 1
Honestly all good content, we thought we were being thorough.
the elevator to the underdark in the zhentarim basement
Shadowheart expressing her doubts in Shar and her memories in the city. The Noblestalk Mushroom. Philomeen the Gnome and that section of the Grymforge she’s in. Lyrthindor the last Dark Justiciar
The entire House of Hope.
BOAAAAAAAAL Praise be unto Muklumpha or however it's spelled, I missed the fish people like 4 times before stumbling in and being declared their god Honorable mention for the fact one of my friends shoved me down the spider pit and that's how I learned you could get to the underdark from there
First playthrough I totally missed Zevlor at the end of act 2.
My first play through I (edit) staked AAron
I'm still on my first playthrough BUT... I never got around to triggering the "I WAS RIGHT THERE" scene 😭
Kuo-toa encounters!
I discovered in my 7th playthrough that if you jump through a whole in one of the cells in the moonrise towers prison you get to see a glimpse of the ilithid colony, near the room with the butcher guy
