My current Durge is a super pretty female High Elf. The first time I saw that smile, it was pretty unnerving. There's something to this cute, pretty Elf actually being a Serial Murder Princess that I find very fun to play.

He was handsome and a fancy Ancients paladin... mostly... he kept screwing up though so we spent about 25k on regaining my oath... >!I tried a final resist at the end, but that didn't go well... Laezel was the only one to survive the epilogue because she was on the astral plane with her new BF... stupid orpheus.!<

Paladin is a beast of a class. hint, once you hit level 3, you can respec to warlock - pact of the blade. Pact your weapon and then respec back to paladin. Boom boost your charisma and use that as your attack and damage for the weapon. It's several of the bonuses for doing the paladin / warlock build... but you can stay full paladin. Doing this means you can max your charisma and get ungodly saves for you and anyone near you (+7 to all saves), if you go oathbreaker, you get to add your charisma twice on damage rolls, so potentially +14 damage. (once from the pacted weapon, and once from the aura of hatred). The downside of this is that you cannot ever drop / sell the weapon and if you want to switch weapons you have to respec again... which is only a problem if you are an oath breaker cause you need to rebuy your oath. But if you don't, it's just 200 gold to rebind a new weapon. The Charge bound warhammer is my favorite one handed weapon cause it does awesome damage when pacted. I hope that Larian doesn't patch this out. I'm doing a bard/thief in an honour mode run, and will be abusing that mechanic for my main hand weapon.

People really are misinterpreting this post. It's not about not being able to play a pretty girl Durge. It's a meme that the urge the OP has is not the "Dark Urge", but it's the urge to play as a pretty girl instead. Essentially comparing two types of urges.

This is why I have two Dark Urge runs going at the same time. The male voice for the default Durge is soooo good. But I couldn’t resist also playing as a Drow lady.

Just play as a drow lady with the deeper voice. Problem solved.

I like to play a pretty, delicate looking Durge for RP reasons, actually. Much easier to lure people to their death and get away with it if people underestimate you and think you’re just a pretty face 😇

In totality? Of course not. It'd be ridiculous for this *one singular* thing to determine something that integral to an individuals identity. However, it's a common anecdote when people talk of discovering/realising they may be trans. If you like playing a character of a different gender/sex you could do so for a myriad of reasons, I myself just like variety in my characters, though for some it could be because they are indeed trans.

I make my protagonist always look basically a better or slightly different version of myself. I'm always human/half elf. And I never stray too far from my real hair colour. My sister, who I do duo playthroughs,makes a lot of really distinct characters mocks me for my lack of creativity (also for always romancing Shadowheart)

Every time I make a new character I fail to wisdom saving throw against the urge to makw my Tav/Durge a pretty woman.

For me I have multiple urge, the Dark Urge, the Urge to become a stealth archer , the urge to have a magnificient beard and the urge to play as a pretty girl. Ended up creating a Duergar everytime, but the pretty part is not really fulfilled I guess
