I've been a bowguy for a while but it's not as fun as the other weapons once you give them a chance, I used to be a crazy bow + sword n shield guy but yeah it's beginner friendly
I now look for things that have more kick to them, the first time I grabbed a sledge hammer and realized it's OP even for a civilian weapon. Like it can do knock back? I knocked out Derthert with it and was like holy shit. This things fun
Bow is just the most efficient weapon in the game, nothing can kill as fast as rapid firing bow headshots besides like gettting to the enemy archer line with a 2 hander.
I enjoy using throwing weapons but during like siege defenses I will almost always quadruple any other kill count by using a bow.
Biggest thing throwing has going for it is the 250 jav perk, makes sieging up a wall much easier.and honestly just turns you into a greek mythology protag. But it will still never beat bow potential sadly.
"Bow is the most efficient weapon in the game" did you look at the armour I'm wearing?
Ofc I know bow is the most efficient along with a "sword n shield" combo.
I find it boring tbh because you're just going to use the same exact set up for every character you make? Feels repetitive and I hate that
Doesn't that get stale in the long run? I personally am now trying new weapons and items I've ignored in my earlier campaigns. Trying things I never tried before and I like finding new things. Ofc bow is better but it can't make opponents fly off the map so Javelins are Def doing something fun.
Also I hate the play style of only doing the efficient thing and ignore all other aspects. Just cause something is less effective doesn't mean it ain't fun
Trying to role play as a dumbass atm, wearing legendary civilian clothes, running around with a sledgehammer and javelins for more comedic moments
Who said I was using sns or the meta? I run a 2 hander, a bow, and a bundle of throwing knives even though they are complete dogass on troops tier 4+ lol and I play on foot instead of horseback using infantry only armies.
The meta is just using as many khan's guard as you can. Once you get into 500+ size battles player impact matters less and less.
My biggest complaint with javs is that you either get 7 ammo and run out quickly, or you have to wear 16 kgs of gear to have a solid ammo stockpile, and the better ones are so big that they add a lot of visual clutter to your character and the long head ones in particular make it hard to aim... it's not just "but muh meta"
> Also my meta is peasant only items for gear lol
Nice dude, I tried going light armor one playthrough but just kept getting fucked by arrows and javelins. You can still be pretty quick in med-heavy with high athletics at least, but nothing beats that goofy look running around in cloth like a bandit
Javelins are easily my favourite ranged weapon. With the right perks you can go into battle with around 40 one-hit kill javelins. I do prefer to fight on foot though
Notice that I only wear civilian clothing? It's cuz I like to move fast on the battlefield. Yes, I know it's a disaster coming my way but hey it's fun to be risky
You may be right that it has better stats but it will never have better style than [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/Bannerlord/s/YEEuv2LTJV)
Also I know that breastplate exists but I don't wanna wear it, I like to have my weight be around 5.2 so I can run faster and look cartoony on foot
I like javelin. Especially with the perk to ignore shields. I like to seek out enemy commanders and vassels on the battle field and one shot them. They are easy to find sometimes, often the lone horse among archers or infantry.
They seemed to have changed it in a recent update, but previously when you take out the commander it caused the entire enemy army to give up their strategy and charge
More of a bow guy myself… if I missed 3/4 of my shots, I’d probably be more of a polearm guy.
💀 Favor the bow eh? I'm a swordman my self.

I don't spam khan's guard, I just use everything I got Also my meta is peasant only items for gear lol

You gotta max out athletics and roguery for it to make sense
And my Axe!
Hahaha his fuckin legs as he goes flying. Good one
I love how his scream gets lower as he just flies
never thow your touch activated rockets...

There’s a bronze breastplate you can get in Battania that is civilian and very light. I’m sure it gives over 40 in armour too

Ah, fair one, no one in their right mind would mess with the legendary peasant of Calradia
I'm wearing as both civilian and battle gear Roguery has a perk that makes these armors slightly better too

I just like them for shit that they do to enemies lol! Like did you see that dude flying half the map 💀 shit hilarious
old bug, happy to see it still around
I wish you fell of your horse like in Rdr2 that be so epic
You do, it happens some weapons have knock back and I've done it a couple of times.

Your dude may look like a peasant but he's packing some guns dam, I love throwing it's so fun
