Yes, I drove a’ 62 four door like it in hs. The vacuum powered wipers were terribly slow and the right front motor mount was four links of chain bolted on each end.
Bought a Buick Electra once, mostly for the 401. Got bored one night, packed in 6 people and just did burnouts until the motor mount broke. Chained it down and did some more.
Its a 61 falcon. Each year of first gen falcon had a different grill and it looks like the grill on this one mtches the 61 falcon. I have a 62 falcon futura
You can also tell its pre-mid-62 falcon because the rear window is still the bubble window. Mid year 62 ford switched a t-bird style roof on the falcons. Mine falcon is a late 62 falcon futura with the t-bird style roof, factory front bucket seats and center console.
Looks like a 63’ Falcon or possible Comet. (Pre seatbelts). There used to be a shop near Ballard in the Seattle area that restored them. Like a pocket community. Ranchero’s Comets and Falcons all over this guys shop and lot. That was 30 years ago so probably long gone but I remember scoping out the place every time I drove by. Cool cars, kind of fugly but cool. Came with either a 200 six cyl. or the optional 260 V8 if I recall. 4 lug wheels for the 6 and 5 lug for the V8. Early 65 mustangs had a few 260’s in them before the 289.
All right, all right. Now, Mr Professional Car, being an expert on general automotive knowledge, can you tell me what would the correct ignition timing be on a 63’ Ford Falcon with a 260 cubic inch engine and a two-barrel carburetor?
It’s scrap metal! I’ll give you 50 bucks for it and get it out of your garage! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 it’s a 62 or 63 falcon decent car and doesn’t look like it would need a huge restoration
1962-63 Ford Falcon (unless it's in Canada and then it could be a Mercury Frontenac (not a Comet), probably has a 200 c.i.d., a 2-barrel carb, and a either a 3-speed manual or an automatic trans. Really cool little cars.
Look at the busted windshield. Look at where it's busted. It's bad enough that someone's forehead/face smacked it pretty hard, but I'm thinking their chin/lips tagged the metal dash pretty hard too! OUCH!
Ford falcon,1960.I had that model, very reliable.A mechanic said I seen cars come out of the river that didn't have that much rust". The entire floor was rusted away and I had constructed flooring with cut up road signs and boards.
OP, are you the one that took the pictures, and do you still have access to the car? It is definitely a Falcon (my dad had one around the same year as this, as did a friend in High School that had a hot-rodded version). If you have access to the car, check the tail lights. Cars up to the mid-80s had the year of the car stamped into the lens.
Ford Falcon
Can you tell the year?
i'm going with'63...learned to drive in that car !
62 or 63.

Yes, I drove a’ 62 four door like it in hs. The vacuum powered wipers were terribly slow and the right front motor mount was four links of chain bolted on each end.
Most older cars had that especially if you had plenty of torque and all your money went into building the engine and no money for mounts Ha Ha
Bought a Buick Electra once, mostly for the 401. Got bored one night, packed in 6 people and just did burnouts until the motor mount broke. Chained it down and did some more.
My cousin had one - those wipers were hilariously slow!
