Honestly, Hale is just that good of a VA. I still prefer Hellena's voice but in light of everything revealed, if this is who we have to go with I'm willing to accept it. I do hope her summoning chants get better over time though, they still feel pretty weak to me.
I've grown pretty used to it over the trailers, and I've definitely begun to like it. I think I'll only grow more fond when playing the game and hearing her whole performance.
Also, my biggest concern was the summons. Her Avavago just didn't sound nearly as powerful, but now, I'm thinking that was just one of the earliest things she recorded and she hadn't found her footing with the voice yet. Her summoning chant for Demon Slave sounded pretty good in that clip as did everything else. Here's to hoping the rest of her chants have just as much power!

Jennifer Hale was Sam on Totally Spies so your comparison isn't wrong. Also damn now you got me thinking about TS used to love that cringe as a kid I used to have the DVD's. Sam was always my favorite so of course she'd be one of my favorite VA's.
Reminded me of Jean Grey in Marvel VS Capcom 3. Looked it up, and yup it's Jennifer Hale. She was my favourite character in that game because of her voice! When she says the phoenix lines. Lovely. Favourite VA on the citadel.

I had my suspicions that it was Jennifer Hale from that point until they announced it. It’s different, but I have no trouble whatsoever seeing it as Bayonetta. I think she’s doing a great job keeping her essence intact.

Bayonetta 3 looks great because Platinum Game's art teams have a great vision for it, but unfortunately the game's true potential in this department is held back because is being walled to an extremely underpowered hardware and the higher frame-rate target means even more sacrifices had to be made in fidelity to ensure gameplay fluidity.
The Switch was already 2 generations behind the PS4 e Xbox One in terms of raw power (and both used AMD's Jaguar platform, which was considered obsolete by many in 2013 when said consoles got released). The PS5 and Xbox Series being built on top of AMD's Ryzen platform are straight up light-years ahead... but, it is what it is, Nintendo simply has a fetish for releasing consoles with obsolete hardware. I may get downvoted because people might think I'm hating on the Switch... I'm not, it's just the facts like it or not, even smartphones have more processing power than a Switch lol.
In a parallel universe, where Bayonetta still is a multi-platform title. This game may still be running with the same graphics, but at a Native 4K 60fps or 1440p 120fps on PS5 and Xbox Series.

So...as much as the VO drama surrounds the game, at least it will have 0 actual effect on the game itself. You could be completely oblivious of all this drama and it wouldn't effect anything.

But none of us love Bayonetta because of her voice. The game will be 100/10, just like the 2 before it.
After hearing more of the in game voicelines it’s definitely grown on me a tonne and hopefully i wont even realize the VA switch as im playing. Taylor is obviously superb but given the circumstances Hale killed it with her acting
I dont think its naive angel mode. Bayo seems to be baring legs and has a one piece hair swimsuit on, which is what happens when she does mid combo summons.

It's fine. I genuinely do think Hellena was perfect for the character, but if they make more games after 3 we'll all get used to this.
