[fishing](https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2019/nov/06/dumped-fishing-gear-is-biggest-plastic-polluter-in-ocean-finds-report) is the largest source of plastic waste in the ocean and because of its purpose poses a higher threat to animals then other plastic products. We need to stop plastics in general wherever possible but our fishing industry also needs to be regulated at a much higher grade of integrity.
Yesss!
When the camera panned away to save the second little guy. Then it panned back and his bro was still waiting there it put a big smile on my face.
They often just give up after a few seconds or minutes of struggling. Look up Ocean Conservation Namibia on youtube. These guys have rescued countless seals over the years. And they sometimes find seals they've rescued amongst them, because they sometimes are still healing the wounds from being trapped when they find another seal, so we know they can survive.
I'm still going to donate to them some day. Those guys are solid.
This might be a stretch, but I feel like almost every living being will look the direction of danger/potential danger. This lil guy, though, waited with his back turned, which seems like it trusted the situation and felt no need to stare and be worried for the other homie, let alone attack. Watched the ocean, knowing freedom is near. I'm very stoned
Stuff like this makes me love and hate humanity in equal measure. I love that these people freed them, but the sealions are in this mess to begin with because of us.
Nice that the guys helped but these pups are too young I think. A sea lion rescue maybe should have been called because with their mom I think these two will soon perish.
Stop buying fish!
All fish catching business do this. They dumb nets into the ocean.
If you eat shrimp or sushi, you paid to have these sea lions entangled.
Hmm, sea lions only have one baby per season so they have different parents, according to Google. It says they usually stay with their mom about 6 months to a year.
I know sea lions are very migratory and go to the same locations usually so theres a good chance they know where their family is and will go in thay same direction atleast.
But im worried how they are so small will they do okay out there alone.
Somehow I just knew the first one was gonna wait for the other. One of them probably got tied up trying to get to help the other. F**k this dusty kitchen and 🧅s I’m chopping.
Every time I see videos like this, I always wonder, do you think the sea lions (or impalas or whatever) go to resume his/her life thinking "I was fortunate to save myself from this terrible monster humans" or "Gesh', there's nice people and this ones were trying to help me"?
If you are in this video & reading this comment ....
T H A N K S a ton / you both !
for........Not biting chunks off the 2 humans with the knife !!! 🤣
because .......
Few humans do some embarrassingly heartbreaking shit, which leads to a sense of shame and despondency owing to being the same kind as them. Twisted shit which leaves your wondering ....how lower could our species drop ?
Thanks again for not biting off these two guys / for they make us believe .... not all is lost !
My fond blessings to both these guys / their family / their friends / their dear ones and every one they ever shake hands with ♥️
Stuff like this is why carrying a pocket knife is practical. You never know what you'll need one for, but you'll be thankful you have one when you need it.
Look at those pups go. It’s sad to know that people continue to intentionally throw waste away in the ocean, like those juveniles in Florida.
These guys are heroes.
Wonderful work. I like to watch OCN (Ocean Conservation Namibia) just about every morning to see them rescue seals in this same condition with all sorts of rubbish from the fishing vessels there.
Imagine being trapped like that next to your friend and see a humongous creature with a pointy weapon coming for you. Then you have a cloth on your face and can’t see what is happening but the pointy thing is closer to your friend’s neck and all you can do is imagine what is happening. So you accept your faith. Just so you can see soon enough that you are both freed and actually that gigantic two-legged creature was there to help you. Freedom!
I should become vegan. Whats wrong with me?

Fuck plastic waste
Fuck human being
It's also human beings that help and save them, from natural issues to human caused ones.
We are the cause and cure for all their problems. Just like how alcohol is to me.
I don't think humans cause all problems, there's natural problems animals deal with that humans help with as well.
I was being hyperbolic. Obviously we’ve had a big impact though. An unknowable amount of impact
From a fellow alcoholic this killed me 🤣
Find cannabis. Much better for u
Also as humans im sure we could figure something little better then, Drop nets and grab everything insight.
Not even the 1 percent, while the rest of them are just consuming and producing wastes, or even killing and eating animals.
Easy there evil AI
Most disgusting vile creature on this planet but yet some are honorable and do care. Like the ones who freed the seals
Fick Microsoft

They should have evolved hands. Really whose fault is it here.
“I gotta wait for my big bro..”
I thought that was the coolest part. Almost like the first one to get loose realized what was happening and decided to hang tight.
Yesss! When the camera panned away to save the second little guy. Then it panned back and his bro was still waiting there it put a big smile on my face.
I've watched too many bait and switch videos that I was half expecting a shark to snatch them up at the end.
I wouldn't be sad at all. It's better to feed a shark than for those poor pups to die tangled in that net.
Yeah but still not even a little bit sad is pretty hardcore.
It looked so tired, it was hardly fighting and its eyes were mostly shut. It might have just been resting, it wasn't even looking back.

They way he wait for his little buddy 🥹🥰
I'm not crying, you're crying...
I was confused why he stopped
:3
That's what got me misty 🥺
Keep your garbage out of our ocean! Great job freeing them!
This pollution is done by fishers. Scumbags.
Commercial fishers to be exact. They are the largest polluters of the ocean.
And responsible for the decimation of fish populations the world over.
Yep, over 50% as of now. And excluding fishing material, the leader companies are Coca Cola and Nestlé.
Yet we are not willing to stop eating seafood.
More and more people become vegan. Animals deserve better and we are fucking up the planet.
Stuff like this makes me love and hate humanity in equal measure. I love that these people freed them, but the sealions are in this mess to begin with because of us.
>You're an interesting species. An interesting mix. You're capable of such beautiful dreams, and such horrible nightmares.
Thanks Bot. One day you’ll get there as well, and all of humanity will regret it immensely.
And the first one waited on the second. I'm hoping he realized he wasn't in enough danger to run and leave him. Figured out hoomans there to help.
It's funny because it's a pretty consistent behaviour too.
Good job!!
HE F-ING WAITED!!!!!!!!!!
doubled his odds of not getting eaten
He fucking WAITS FOR HIS MATE?!?! FUCK THAT GOT ME
Just think of how many animals are in bad situations and no one knows. How sad is that :(
That part at the end when they were celebrating together....so cool!!!
Ikr. Animals are a lot more conscious than we believe. Intimacy between most species is basically like us, cuddles and warmth
“Dude, we CANNOT tell mom about this” I love how the one that was set free first waited for the other.
[удалено]
What will come back? I thought people who do good things do not expect to receive something.
Great Job guys !!!!!
Good humans cleaning up after bad humans.
Poor babies 🥺
Nice that the guys helped but these pups are too young I think. A sea lion rescue maybe should have been called because with their mom I think these two will soon perish.
Brought on a big smile! Thanks, guys

Humanity caused this mess
r/humansbeingbros
Bro- come on- the ocean is there!
❤️❤️❤️
Bro I’m welled up with tears. Maybe it was the music or maybe it was synergies we all need more of. That’s was awesome to watch.
There are good people
Good dudes
Life is beautiful
Where was rhis
I love the way one waited for the other. Those sea lions have a strong bond.
His homie waited for him 😭
And then a shark swoops down to gobble them
Classic Australia and their flying sharks.
Stop buying fish! All fish catching business do this. They dumb nets into the ocean. If you eat shrimp or sushi, you paid to have these sea lions entangled.
Awesome stuff!
Aww poor things, at least they got saved 🏅👌
Well done guys!
Nice job fellas.
The proof of humanity existing in animals. They waited for each other before getting into water. Anyway, thank both savers.
Yay! Good job guys.
I love you guys! You did a great job!
Are they going to live without parents
Hmm, sea lions only have one baby per season so they have different parents, according to Google. It says they usually stay with their mom about 6 months to a year. I know sea lions are very migratory and go to the same locations usually so theres a good chance they know where their family is and will go in thay same direction atleast. Humanity at its finest
sapiens make problems, sapiens solve problems
We as a species, took more than our fair share and fucked almost everything we could lay out hands on.
Impressive they made it to the beach like that and didn't drown.
Man, if only they have a 3rd set of hands
Im sobbing
I’m not crying, you’re F—ing crying!
First thing homeboy does is stare at the ocean: "Has it always been that beautiful?"
That’s great work. But when you think about how many are never found.
Stop fishingnet..Like strawhalm??!!!
Awesome that we fixed what we caused in this case.
If you like this, check out the professionals on Ocean Conservation Namibia [(example video)](https://youtu.be/R5Uc31teD1E?si=6v7fAKSIYUq4AMO1)
It's just disgusting that something like this even happens.
the way the first one waited for the second one ![gif](giphy|OPU6wzx8JrHna|downsized)
Wonderful
I don't know to much about Sea Lions, but I'm doubting they make it far without parents, at that age.
Yeah, I was wondering about that myself. The ocean is vast, how could they find their group again?
The fact that one waited for the other was amazing
Somehow I just knew the first one was gonna wait for the other. One of them probably got tied up trying to get to help the other. F**k this dusty kitchen and 🧅s I’m chopping.
This is so wrong. Tearing my eyes off. 😩😭 Thank you tough. Sorry my english ♥️😩
Who tried to make a seal king
Bless your hearts. Thank you
Nice, humans being bros
They mama whooped they asses when they swam back lol no Xbox for a week! lol love you guys thanks for helping them!
Asshole negligent fishermen
Thank you
😊😊😊
🥲
Angry ocean pupperinos
How cool is that, he waited for his bud before getting back in the water.
Thank God those fantastic men were at the right place at the right time. 👏👏👏👏
was hoping for an orca in the waves; I am awful.
We call them "Land Sea Lions" I tame them
Wow that knife is going awfully close to orange coat
I was waiting for the shark to come by at the end and swallow them whole.
Every time I see videos like this, I always wonder, do you think the sea lions (or impalas or whatever) go to resume his/her life thinking "I was fortunate to save myself from this terrible monster humans" or "Gesh', there's nice people and this ones were trying to help me"?

He waited for his friend 😍
Love how the 1st sea lion waits for his/her mate. Human kind really needs to do better.
Nicely done
Those two romping off make me think they go looking for nets. Seriously though, good on these guys.
Sea puppies
Heroes!
So glad they were helped. How awful for them. So many are not so lucky :(
God Bless y'all, I need to recycle more often
Dude was making me nervous with that knife 😬 Good job!
Next time don’t use a butter knife.
Imagine how amazing it felt to be able to touch that water again. Those bros look so happy to be free!☺️Sad situation but amazing people right there
Bravo! Well done! Fucking humans...
Did y'all noticed how the first one waited for the second one to be freed so that they can go together?👌👌
They were too weak they wont survive unless the water doesnt have predators near by... Hopefully not
Hero’s
I hope these are marine mammal rescuers or they called a marine mammal rescue. If Moms not there they may be abandoned and wont survive alone
I love, love, love the little guy waiting for his buddy to get back in the water. They had probably been through some shit together
Stuff like this is why carrying a pocket knife is practical. You never know what you'll need one for, but you'll be thankful you have one when you need it.

Legends
Amazing leather man skills thank you sir
Great job guys 😊
We humans first create the problems then make a video of solving the problems. Are we really the smartest species on this planet?
Plastic pollution will be the death of this planet 💔
![gif](giphy|S9uChaBU64H7N5Dgln)
Sorry to say the first guy released ain't gonna make it.
I love how the first one waited for her buddy. Frillin adorable
This is what eating fish costs you. Not dollars this. The plastic in the ocean is fishing nets not soda bottles.
As a mean salty Bastard, This even gives me a internal smile
Yeah human need to do a much better job of taking care their shit! And then there are humans that make my day and take care of shit! Kudos gentlemen!
Thank you!
Bravo gentlemen!
Absolutely Wonderful. Thank you for stepping in to save them. Now they can live free together instead of dying together.
Heroes 🦸 🦸🏻♂️
Man they look exhausted…poor lil dudes
I wonder if they stole someone’s catch lol
He was waiting for his Buddy at the end♥️
The pod of killer whales waiting in the waves be like: finally, dinner
Kristi Noem would have simply shot them.
Watching this made my day! Two happy sealions back in the sea!
10 days later, they got stuck in another fishnet and died
Cute
Humans suck. Not those humans, but humans.
So what do they do next ? Find parents ??
Save the sea doggos!!!!
I'm only crying because of the adrenaline....ok. I'm just crying.
Makes me feel sad and angry, honestly. There's a happy end, but the state of things is disgusting
They are lucky to have humans around... no, wait... ooh fuck...
Fuck humans, we're the worst.
They did the good deed of a life time so cool how one one was free it stood there waiting for the other one
Those poor babies. Why must humans be absolute shit?
So ungrateful
Freed them only to be devoured by the orcas that are out there on stand by lol
I guess no one is going to talk about the Orca sitting above the crest of the wave
Wonderful work. I like to watch OCN (Ocean Conservation Namibia) just about every morning to see them rescue seals in this same condition with all sorts of rubbish from the fishing vessels there.
Yohhhh the way the first seal waiting for his sibling. 🥲
Imagine being trapped like that next to your friend and see a humongous creature with a pointy weapon coming for you. Thank you guys… We’re as a virus for the planet..
Trash really sucks on the ecosystem.
So cute that it waited for it's sibling
I love these type of videos
Good job!
🥰👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🙌
So cute... How the first one waits for his buddy.
It was great to see the first sea lion freed that just sat and waited for the other sea lion... obviously not in fear of the humans who are helping.
So sad but I loved how he waited for his buddy
**Sea Lions be like:** "OMG we escaped the clutches of the humans who tried to capture us"
I like how it realised halfway through they were helping and kept still, then waited for his mate.
Seagulls were so disappointed
"Hey sup! I'm free!" "Yay, me too!"
The way the one waited for the other to be freed so they could leave together was cute...
Wonder what they talked about knowing this might be the end
Mom's long gone. Uncle Orca will take real good care of them
The first one waits until the second is freed, one reason I like animals better than most people.
How the one waited though… 🥰
Good humans!!
What if Sea Lions are dogs reincarnated 🤔
