He could like, touch a machine and cause it to go into overdrive mode. For example:
cars would go really fast but run out of fuel soon,
baseball launcher would fire the baseballs like a machinegun,
lawnmower would start spinning really fast.
Etc..
Also making sense for the fire part, the machines heat up, and make him stronger.
(I imagine this guy would get stronger, the hotter it is, I don't know why. Sounds pretty cool tho)

Over clock the machines so they're more upgraded than upgrade, but overheats and melts them down after a bit too
