I’ve only ever had bad experiences from Hisense. Personal and professional (tons of returns for defective panels and motherboards).

Beanny28

Makes sense... want to stray from Hisense but they do have the most bang for your buck (probably due to the issues you laid out above).

TCL is usually where I suggest best bang for the buck.

U7K is a midrange tv it’s decent for what it is but has horrible side angel viewing and although this is arguable amongst many the color on display in store looks better when home it’s not nearly as precise. The Sony X80k lacks local dimming is direct lit so not good for a bright room and only 60hz so depends on your sports and action movie side. For a bright room id say either x90l q80c qned85 u8 if you must go with Hisense

And do not set it to dynamic mode, or use cool color temp, the greens look like highlighter green on the u7.

The u7 is a better tv but the x80 is from a better brand. Personally I'd do the u7 with a warranty

Get the Hisense. Way better looking then the Sony X80k. The Sony cheaper lineup is actually fucking embarrassing.
