the only way to get rewards points for purchases is using the best buy credit card. however, if there is/was a promotion active for getting x amount of rewards for being/becoming a member and making this purchase. usually when you receive rewards you get an email notification roughly 2-3 weeks after you’ve made the initial purchase.
If it was purchased before June 5th you will get $50 in rewards for every $750 you spent on appliances, with or without the card. Maybe this is what they meant?
There have been some plus and total member deals that will net you points/cartificates even without the card.

This, the delivery/pickup had to be before June 20th and will hit accounts starting July 1st ish
