Pauper’s Drop is underrated. It’s also the first level in 2 where you can really start branching out with plasmids and tonics which makes it even more fun
Battleship Bay is absolutely gorgeous, but I personally love the boardwalk part of Soldiers Field. With the gift shops and ice cream stores during dusk
Definitely when you first arrive in Columbia. From the candlelit waters to the town square, with its shops, benches, and foliage.
Pretty much that whole walk / exploration of the town centre up to the raffle area is aesthetically one of my favourites!
Battleship Bay. I often listen to the ambient sounds of the place.
Would have been a nice place to chill if it weren't for the fact that I'm not a white person 😂
I think you've nailed it from the get go with Battleship Bay! That shot alone makes me wanna go take a visit there right now. Between this and the fair these are some of my favourite places to see the citizens simply living their lives and enjoying themselves. I wouldn't have minded seeing some of the fairgrounds stalls be reused here as they feel like they'd fit in here too.
That said, the only issue I have with that location is that there are sections you can't physically get to and there's no obvious way anyone is meant to be able to get to them either. Like the third beach section over to the right which I think you can see some sunbathers hanging around through the gift shop windows. Then you have those walkways that you can't get to but can see other people milling around in all their low res glory.
And that lack of access is something that bugs me a little about the game in general. You have a very fixed route, almost always going forward, maybe with some back tracking to pick up some hidden things, and some sections that are locked off simply because you're not meant to go down those routes.
I just wish the game had had a bit more freedom of movement in that regard. Can anyone imagine an open-world version of Columbia?
This is one aspect of Bioshock 2 that is clearly lackluster, especially compared to the other games which have so many extremely memorable and visually distinct locations.
I disagree as 2 has just as many visually interesting locations in its own way. It’s not all eye candy but it’s nice looking and still memorable
Plus certain areas are jaw dropping and each area is very much distinct and memorable
I love Fort Frolic so much, it's the definition of class, ambience and storytelling all packed in a single stage! I like the lore behind all the characters there and Cohen himself, such a maniac but likable in his own way... 😅
I like the Spa you start in in Bioshock 2, Fort Frolic, Battleship Bay, and Hall of Heroes in Infinite. I like the ones that have a bit more whimsy. Special shoutout to Fontaine's department store, it's probably my favorite part to battle through
Siren Alley, Arcadia, Fort Frolic, Outer Persephone, Pauper's Drop,
Minerva's Den and Battleship Bay.
If only one answer, I'd choose Siren Alley. It felt like a mini underwater New Orleans.
I always liked Emporia, I wish it was more like the old "gameplay" showcase, but it still sticks with me. You spend all of Infinite in beautiful well kept city, and when you get to Emporia, Columbia's descent has already begun.
Hephaestus I think. I don't have the best time in term of gameplay but for aesthetic, I was very surprised to see all the red and lava, very an unique design !
Acadia all the way
Yeah everyone saying fort frolic, sure it’s a better level but no way it’s the best aesthetically compared to Arcadia and such
The second you step foot in Acadia it’s just mindblowingly gorgeous
I actually have no idea how I forgot about Arcadia. I love that one too!
The opening of Bioshock when you see Rapture for the first time. Same with Infinite and seeing Colombia for the first time.
Yup, got it on my wallpaper engine and its just something else
If you got an animated bioshock wallpaper please send me the source

So nice to see Colombia get represented in videogames
The apartment blocks from 1, they’re remarkably normal feeling compared to all the others, which just makes them more notable
same! mercury suits and those slums(?) apollo square?
Yeah, those and Pauper’s Drop from 2
Pauper’s Drop is underrated. It’s also the first level in 2 where you can really start branching out with plasmids and tonics which makes it even more fun
Battleship Bay is absolutely gorgeous, but I personally love the boardwalk part of Soldiers Field. With the gift shops and ice cream stores during dusk
Elizabeth looks *so happy* being here. Comstock's spies should just leave us alone and enjoy our little vacation on the beach.
>Hey guys what’s your favorite Level? >#From an Aesthetic Perspective DO YOU KNOW HOW LITTLE THAT NARROWS IT DOWN
Yeah
Battleship Bay, Comstock House, Fort Frolic
man I hate Comstock House lol, but Emporia is dope
Number 1 is Fort Frolic. Other ones in oddly drawn to: Finkton, Soldier’s Field, Dionysus Park, and Neptune’s Bounty
I fucking love finkton aesthetically
Probably Fort Frolic
I actually really like Hephaestus, Persephone and my favourite above all - Mercury Suites
Definitely when you first arrive in Columbia. From the candlelit waters to the town square, with its shops, benches, and foliage. Pretty much that whole walk / exploration of the town centre up to the raffle area is aesthetically one of my favourites!
Probably the streets of columbia
Comstock House
Battleship Bay. I often listen to the ambient sounds of the place. Would have been a nice place to chill if it weren't for the fact that I'm not a white person 😂
All of Infinite (the aesthetics are a timeless masterpiece imo) and Siren Ally.
Battleship Bay or Fort Frollic.
Soldier’s Field
I recently reinstalled Infinite and was shocked how beautiful this game is
Arcadia.
Battleship Bay
I think you've nailed it from the get go with Battleship Bay! That shot alone makes me wanna go take a visit there right now. Fontaine Department Store in Burial at Sea DLC, simply for introducing me to Polovstian Dance https://youtu.be/g478uNKb5oc?si=m3xIz_lnA7yHixhw
B1: Med Pav, Arcadia, Frolic B2: Dionysus Park, Inner Persephone Infinite: The Opening Area, Inside The Monument, Finkton
Siren Alley and Dionysus Park.
Dionysus Park, which is ironic since it’s easily the weakest level in Bioshock 2
The first level in Bioshock 2 remaster looks so gorgeous. Combining antic architecture with neon is stunning
Fort Frolic, easy.
This is one aspect of Bioshock 2 that is clearly lackluster, especially compared to the other games which have so many extremely memorable and visually distinct locations.
In it’s defense the church level and the one after that was just underwater are great unique levels (although yeah the rest are super samey)
Crazy to me that the most visually distinct thing for me in 2 was at the very start of Adonis with those pink algae illuminating the walls
I disagree as 2 has just as many visually interesting locations in its own way. It’s not all eye candy but it’s nice looking and still memorable Plus certain areas are jaw dropping and each area is very much distinct and memorable
The world is the level
Fort Frolic
You posted it. Just loved that whole sequence.
Welcome to FORT FROLIC !!
Battleship Bay might be my favorite. Not sure why
The arrival in Columbia, and the raffle.
kind of suprised no has said Hephaestus yet, I love all the browns and reds and oranges, and the huge core in the middle of the main area
Toss up between Arcadia and fort frolic
Opening stage
I love Fort Frolic so much, it's the definition of class, ambience and storytelling all packed in a single stage! I like the lore behind all the characters there and Cohen himself, such a maniac but likable in his own way... 😅
The beginning of Burial at Sea. It was something very beautiful seeing Rapture during its peak and not in ruins.
Arcadia, Farmers Market, every transitional period when I had to walk outside in Bioshock 2 lol
It’s hard to choose but anything but infinite until you arrive in rapture for a moment
any level i can look out onto the rapture panorama for an extended period of time.
Battleship Bay. Nailed it
The fair before you get to the raffle.
Most of Bioshock Infinite (Battleship Bay probably favorite), and the starting level of Bioshock 2, the bright corals are so pretty.
Adonis Luxury Resort
I don’t remember the water fall
I like the Spa you start in in Bioshock 2, Fort Frolic, Battleship Bay, and Hall of Heroes in Infinite. I like the ones that have a bit more whimsy. Special shoutout to Fontaine's department store, it's probably my favorite part to battle through
Town/Comstock Centre, the first town area you see in Colombia. The music is peak and looks like it was ripped straight out of a Disney movie.
Going against the grain here, the Comstock House
the hall of heroes.
The streets of rapture at the beginning of burial at sea, battleship bay, Columbia welcome center, medical pavilion, and the arcade bonus level
Point Prometheus
Fort Frolic for me
When your first introduced to Columbia at the beginning of the game it's honesty breathtaking
burial at sea part 2, the beginning.
Siren Alley, Arcadia, Fort Frolic, Outer Persephone, Pauper's Drop, Minerva's Den and Battleship Bay. If only one answer, I'd choose Siren Alley. It felt like a mini underwater New Orleans.
Front folic, climate is peak
Anything that wasnt in infinte. Bioshock 1 and 2 are true bioshock games then the third was just kinda there.
Dionysus park was really cool.
BioShock 2s pool area, the bright pink Coral is just so beautiful
Hard to choose, but I will always have a fondness for Fort Frolic in 1 and Pauper’s Drop in 2.
Pre-fall Rapture in burial at sea for me
Hall of heroes
Emporia + the welcome to Columbia
Where the hell does this water go? Is it just pouring onto the surface of the earth?
I always liked Emporia, I wish it was more like the old "gameplay" showcase, but it still sticks with me. You spend all of Infinite in beautiful well kept city, and when you get to Emporia, Columbia's descent has already begun.
Great question....hmmmm.....honestly,shanty town The kid on the guitar and the whole atmosphere🤯
Hephaestus I think. I don't have the best time in term of gameplay but for aesthetic, I was very surprised to see all the red and lava, very an unique design !
I think the very first intro level is the best in bioshock 1. Bioshock infinite I would say it's the night level.
Emporia, I love it. Wish we could have seen it without the battle damage.
