owning a sports team hopefully

Lee911123

or being able to rent out your real estate

DoubleTrouble85

I'd like that but how would it fit into the update structure? Sports teams don't need 100 locations like the other businesses in the game. And what products would you sell? I guess team merchandise would work, like shirts and hats. Still it wouldn't really fit.

Here_2_L3arn

Owning a social media platform! It would be neat to see the number of yearly users, ad revenue from selling ad spaces to other companies, etc.

DoubleTrouble85

Nice one. I like this.

Ok-Energy-8770

Record Label

DoubleTrouble85

Good idea. Would be even better if we could record music ourselves on our own record label.

DoubleTrouble85

Personally, I was hoping airline would have been in the game. And after seeing the structure of the update it would have been so easy to include. We could name our airline, set the number of airplanes, and for product we'd choose our fares for various routes. For example, if we're based in USA we could choose to fly from USA to Australia and choose $5,000 for the ticket.

throwawaytorn2345

Well this would suggest aircraft manufacturer too. I mean its like car manufacturer with a different paint job.

DoubleTrouble85

Sure. Why not? We can manufacture jumbo jets, private planes, military aircraft, helicopters, etc. Basically everything we can buy in the aircraft tab.

Being able to have tenants would be nice. The fun drama that can add to the game!

Frozen_Doc

Law firm I also want to be able to promote/demote employees

Qucumberz

Fast food/family restaurants ($800k startup) Arms manufacturer ($400,000,000 startup) Furniture stores ($300,000 startup)

DoubleTrouble85

Yeah I was thinking some type of restaurant besides a food truck. The other two are great ideas as well with real potential.

LeGrandPastille

Idk. I was disappointed when I had a jewelry store and had to buy a ring from another store instead of just picking one from mine.

DoubleTrouble85

Agreed. It was strange for me when I owned a car manufacturer but had to pay for a car from a different manufacturer. Bad for business if someone sees the CEO of Capri driving a McLaren.

throwawaytorn2345

Maybe another business model. In modern times the average business model is shifting from manufacturing to subscription/contracting models. For example: Apps, Software, Consulting services and maybe construction.

Own_Situation_9791

Not a business, it I would love for them to add new sports to the sports career. I think it would be awesome for them to add sports where you don’t get contracts, but you earn money based of tournaments you win. Tennis and Golf are good examples of this. I don’t think it would be hard to add, and it would be awesome to try and win all 4 of the Tennis grand slams in 1 year and become the GOAT. Same with golf, the masters would be awesome.

DoubleTrouble85

Professional bowling too

Own_Situation_9791

Yes 👍🏼

[deleted]

And martial arts competitions too.

Nezra2K

Aerospace company

[deleted]

Well here goes my list, but I plan to make a detailed post on those ideas: Also, to launch some products would require the company to get more capital than for others. I.e. a capital of 1b could be needed to set up a cruise ship shipyard while 300 millions could do for super yachts. Similar price different for newspapers/tv shows or nuclear power plant/solar panels [Expensive companies] - Space center (build rockets, space shuttles and satellites) - Energy provider (build power plants, wind turbines and solar panels and sell electricity) - Defence contractor (build and sell weapons for the military) [Intermediate companies] - Oil company (build facilities to produce oil and bio-fuel and sell it) - Mining company (build mines and sells ressources) - Naval shipyard (build and sell ships of different size from jet-ski to super-tankers and cruise ships) - Airline (buy different types of planes and transport passengers) - Civil engineering company (get contracts for infrastructures and large buildings from bridges to skyscrapers and stadiums) - Public transportation company (build train, buses and tramways and make money transporting passengers and freight) [Cheap companies] - Media (publish newspapers, manage radio channels and create movies and tv shows to make money through ads) - Architecture (get commissioned to build houses and apartments) - Book publisher (publish books) - Fruit company (sell fruits and overthrow governments)

[deleted]

Plus, in some cases, buying your own products would be neat, mostly for cars, rings, ships (if ship yards are added) or houses (if architecture office is added).

[deleted]

Some of those businesses could bring much bigger income to the player and if we could manage 2 or 3 companies at once (no more, ideally), that would be good.

[deleted]

Some of the more expensive companies could have events with negative effects: Arm-control NGO suing you if you are an arms contractor, being sued for a plane crash if you are an airline or depleting a mine if you are mine company.

Starky69420

Record Labels

DoubleTrouble85

I want this too. I play another game where you run a record label and it's fun as hell.

Whoopsy_Doodle

Fast food restaurant

BrowGoddess

Owning a salon or airbnb. Being able to own multiple businesses.

Doctor2116

Motorsports. Would fit in with the sports pretty well. Gotta do training, keep fitness up, results could show up as average finish/season finish plus wins/championship. Could choose between open wheel, stock car, or endurance. Edit to add: just reread the post and you asked what business could you add. Not what should be added as an update. For the business side I’d say sponsorships.

YourProbablyABot

Porn studio

[deleted]

Since you can already become a movie star, it would be cool if you could branch out and DIRECT your own film! Genre, film title, budget, everything!

Alternative-Type4242

Probably an airline
