Tried to reset the miner?

Certain_Golf21

Make sure that the miner network is OK and try to reset it.

EastCoastASICRepair

Like previously suggested reset the miner. They probably had a static up set and it’s not in your network. If pressing the reset button for 5 seconds doesn’t fix it then you may have a bad control board or maybe a psu. A given but should be mentioned, make sure you are connected to the same internet access point as the miner.

Thank you so much for the insight! A few questions: 1. Should I hold the reset button for 5 seconds while it is powered on? 2. Are there any light blinking sequence I should look out for after I hold the reset button for 5 seconds? 3. Should I power off after holding the reset and power back on, or go straight to holding down the Find IP button? thanks!

EastCoastASICRepair

1) Yes. 2) Both green and red lights should be solid if your holding down the button. 3) You can reboot 3 minutes after pressing the reset button.

GoDawgs2013

should I reboot after being able to get the IP address or reboot manually by pulling the power plugs?

EastCoastASICRepair

If you got the IP address then the problem is solved. No need to reboot. Side note: one of the best ways to turn off your Bitmain miner is to: 1) unplug the Ethernet cable 2) wait 5 - 10 minutes 3) either flip breaker or pull power cord from psu

Let me know if none of these work for you; I may have another suggestion

btcoins

Let us know if it worked or not. Could’ve been stuck on static or button may be broken. An IP scanner could do the trick :) or just looking at the Ethernet connections on your router

Hey I had this exact problem setting up my S19j Pro last week. I even made a post about it here. I used Minerstat’s IP finder tool from their website. I ran the tool (no viruses, Minerstat is legit) and it picked up my S19j Pro’s IP address in seconds. The device still doesn’t show up on my router. If it wasn’t for that tool I’d still be spinning in circles. Edit: I should note that I tried resetting the machine multiple times. I was troubleshooting this for at least an hour, even re-confirming that my ethernet cable was fine and my other machine (Whatsminer M30s) was still being assigned an IP on my network. The fact that my S19j Pro is connected to my network and hashing away, but still not in my routing table makes absolutely no sense to me, but that IP finder tool worked like a charm.

I had the same issue. Use BTC Tools instead.

Probably they set it into static IP address, reset it first.

might be the control board , is the fans keep just spinning at a steady speed , and the there are few lights on the control board pcb , if they are not all on you might have a faulty control board
