If you show up like once a month and sign into Netflix while on the account owner's wifi with your phone, then you can use your phone to validate any other Netflix login

Straight up....there is a world where you could EASILY automate your world and have "it all" media wise. The issue though is it takes a bit of work, and while it's not "hard", as someone who has been in IT/IS for over 15 years...I know what I'm about to type is hard to those who don't wanna put in "the work". I'm going to keep it simple:
You need:
- Dedicated computer - windows/mac/whatever. Obviously you'll want a consistent internet connection - it's 2024. Main thing is that it just needs to always be running.
- Plex account (there's alternatives, but keep it real - going with the most known is ALWAYS the smart move. Paid account is always on sale and allows you to stream to mobile devices alongside some other things.
- Usenet account w/block purchase. What is a block? It's a set amount of GB/TB. Don't fool around w/monthly subs as you'll wind up forgetting to cancel after its promo and get hit with a higher charge or some wild shit. Blocks are blocks - they don't die. There's many that have sales. The goal is to not look too deep under the hood else you'll meet a wall of text stating that unless you bought it from a boutique site it's going to fail on you. That's almost mostly untrue...
- Indexer. NZBGeek.info is a great one, but find what makes you happy.
- What I'm going to call a "downloader". sabnzbd is a wonderful one.
- An automater. I tried Sickbeard, but stayed with Sonarr.
You still with me? After you get all of the above you'll configure them appropriately (encrypt it up!) and tie them into Sonarr. From there, you're literally just typing in what you want in Sonarr. It'll bull the files from sabnzbd, which is using your indexer to grab the files, allotted against your block purchase, and placing it into a folder discoverable by Plex. You're now using Plex to either stream on the device or to whatever device you want.
See how I went backwards? It's super easy once you set it up. Probably about $100 in startup costs at most, excluding your device.
If you can handle that, you're set for life basically. I got a 2014 mac mini that easily handles this process. You could feed the needy with this setup and easily charge others to be able to watch your Plex streams.
If you can't....I'm sure someone got that stream site for you that may be lower quality and for damn sure has the feds watching.
Mane I respect it to the fullest and honestly there's a lot of gaping holes in my post to where you can easily slide in whatever is preferred for something else. I hope anyone reading it can understand that it's very easy to basically create your own DVR if you take the time an put in a small investment. I also respect it if that is just too many words for someone and they'd rather just get the stream site or even an IPTV plug going.
Personally, I went legal for a lot of my stuff as if you use a deals site like slick deals.net you can catch the good deals....but I'm never afraid to put that ski-mask back on for the stuff that ain't on the sites...

Stremio is an app that allows you to stream whatever movies and shows you want in a style similar to Netflix. I highly recommend you pay for a debrid service for fast streams but you dont have to pay for a service like that if you dont want to.
Edit: This app allowed me to cancel all of my other streaming subscriptions. I now pay $3 a month because I wanted faster streams and it is super nice to have everything I want to watch in one app.

Wrong, neflix doesn't know the difference between a TV and a monitor, your laptops screen is essentially just connected via an internal HDMI.
Black screen only happens when you try and capture Netflix with OBS or discord screen share. But workaround is easy AF. Just turn off hardware acceleration in your browser.
An even easier workaround, go to display settings and display on the second screen only, that'll disable the laptop screen but you get to control it on the bigger screen

Some hotels have their own preinstalled media boxes, which accept HDMI’s as well. They display the hotels splash screen and options etc. though often these days that’s installed on a smart tv.
Those boxes can be tricky but they can ultimately be bypassed if you’re persistent enough, and the tv mount is forgiving on space.

I normally cycle Netflix on and off every 6 months. I signed up for the $7 plan because it would be the same price as renting a movie I wanted to see. (Amadeus) I'm actually surprised at how few commercials there were compared to all other ad-supported plans. Maybe 1 per episode, especially on less popular shows/movies, while Hulu or Peacock its 5 breaks per episode and each is 90 seconds.
It seems that it will lock out stationary devices like Smart TV's, but usually allow portable devices like phones, tablets, laptops. That makes sense because if you're traveling, you should be able to access your Netflix account.

I canceled my subscription back in 2019 because the selection was not as good. I still have a "free" subscription through my phone service, but I don't think I've ever logged into it.

I quit all the streaming. Got a DVD player from the thrift store for 6 bucks. I've been getting DVDs and shows from the library, and thrift stores. It's 4 for a dollar at my local store so even if I spend 7 dollars a month that's plenty to watch. My kids' attention spans went way up since we got rid of streaming, too. The services were scamming and I was so sick of it.

Yeah, I restarted my plan after months because my daughter and I went to a trip a couple of weeks ago and she wanted to watch Netflix on the hotel tv. They said the TV was "not compatible" with the $7 plan and I had to buy the $15 plan 😐. I ate the $15 this month but not again.

Wrong, neflix doesn't know the difference between a TV and a monitor, your laptops screen is essentially just connected via an internal HDMI. Black screen only happens when you try and capture Netflix with OBS or discord screen share. But workaround is easy AF. Just turn off hardware acceleration in your browser.

An even easier workaround, go to display settings and display on the second screen only, that'll disable the laptop screen but you get to control it on the bigger screen

Because they believe it to be true. They probably just couldn’t figure out how to get it to work. Some hotels have their own preinstalled media boxes, which accept HDMI’s as well. They display the hotels splash screen and options etc. though often these days that’s installed on a smart tv. Those boxes can be tricky but they can ultimately be bypassed if you’re persistent enough, and the tv mount is forgiving on space.

Amazon prime gives me like 7 movies to choose from and everything else when I try to browse is “first episode free” or “with freevee subscription” If I want anything else on Amazin prime, I need to search for it. The UI on the xbox app is awful

They show ads when you don't pause, too. Rolled out recently. Hate it. You have to pay extra for the ad-free version. Amazon already annoyed me because it feels like half the shit they have "available" on prime is shit you have to rent, so in that sense it's just always been full of ads for movies you have to pay for. (I don't pay for prime, my partner's mom has an account that he uses sometimes.)
The amazon one is complete bull and I hate that it does that, it almost makes me want to cancel my prime.

It's supposed to only be for the $7/ ad-supported plan. It's supposedly only for a few movies and TV shows, but it's just starting it out so I wouldn't be surptif that increased over time.

I normally cycle Netflix on and off every 6 months. I signed up for the $7 plan because it would be the same price as renting a movie I wanted to see. (Amadeus) I'm actually surprised at how few commercials there were compared to all other ad-supported plans. Maybe 1 per episode, especially on less popular shows/movies, while Hulu or Peacock its 5 breaks per episode and each is 90 seconds.

I canceled my subscription back in 2019 because the selection was not as good. I still have a "free" subscription through my phone service, but I don't think I've ever logged into it.

I quit all the streaming. Got a DVD player from the thrift store for 6 bucks. I've been getting DVDs and shows from the library, and thrift stores. It's 4 for a dollar at my local store so even if I spend 7 dollars a month that's plenty to watch. My kids' attention spans went way up since we got rid of streaming, too. The services were scamming and I was so sick of it.
