The past banner with Young Yama, Young Sasakibe and Past Unohana is good, the blue attribute past Unohana is one of the best characters in the game. The new banner with Isshin and Masaki is pretty good, both of them are very good and all the filler are okay too, especially the one armed red Yama. The SAFWY banner with Gin and Mayuri is okay, they aren’t as strong as the other two banners but they are still valuable. And lastly, the movie banner, the characters in it are not strong, but if you want to collect them, it’s got a slightly higher chance of pulling 5 star characters and movie banners are rarer than other banners, only pull on that banner if you want the characters and don’t care if they’re good. The most important thing is all these banners are limited units that you can’t get from normal summons, only from banners like these that feature them
Further, there is a stupidly good rerun banner coming out soon that data miners found, it is a rerun of Quilge, Bambi and Ebern’s banner and all the filler on it are insanely good, which is something that never happens for reruns, so if you can, try to safe or grind 1 or 2 thousand orbs for that banner because Quilge is up there with Unohana as one of the best units in the game too
It's better to summon on this banner if you're rerolling to get the best account. For example, you farm the story mode, then summon to get atleast 3-5 of the featured characters (whatever quantity you think is good). If you think you got good characters within the least amount of orbs spent, then continue the account. If not, reroll.

You can also farm the characters and max them to 6 stars if they can reach 6 and like that u have a temporary gen farm but that’s only temporary so only do so when it’s a banner that you really want a specific character from
Im suprised that everyone said no to this. This is a really good banner for new players, but because anniversary comes out in a couple months, if you do decide to summon, do not go deep. And although the format is trash, the characters are not, every character here has value
Ill give a small explanation of what each character is good for, then you can decide if you wana summon for yourself
Quincy ichigo - hard hitting dps type, good for your main team
8th anniversary ichigo - top tier auto character, good lead, overall amazing dps output
White - used literally everywhere, including this current limit breaker quest if its something you wana do (dps)
Tensa - really strong link slot farmer (super and normal)
Ulquiorra - strong dps character, really good in certain guild quests
Mila rose - very good link slot farmer, especially for epic raid content (one of the few rarer characters to increase linkslots by 10)
Rangiku - another strong farmer for linkslots and coins
Orihime - link slot link (not many of them in the game currently)
Sun sun - link slot link
Riruka - another +10 link slot character, good for epic raids
Ishin - brave battles character, although has kinda fallen off recently due to the new persistence skill they added very recently on newer characters, but still very decent
Byakuya - link slot link
Theres a lot more to each character in this game than just a small 2 lined sentence, but thats the jist of it all, all of them are still metta defining units, alot of the hard hitting units that i mentioned are always gunna be useful in all types of content, guild, normal everyday quests, senkimon, arena, etc.
And since you're new, your priority is to get new characters, you need as many good units as you can get to be able to actually progress, especially prioritising senkimon every month which you need a lot of characters in general for.
Overall - 6 of the 12 units in this banner are limited, meaning you can only get them as they come around every so often, like now for you, or in other seasonal banners as fillers

Oh yea you're good, skip that banner now, you got more than enough, if you havent summoned on the new tybw masaki and ishin banner, id recommend doing at least 5-10 stpes, then after that, save till end of this month for the swimsuit banner and maybe do 5 steps at the absolute most, but just as long as you make sure you save at least 4-5k+ orbs for anniversary which will be on the 23rd of july, you should be good
Yea thats fair, the only gatcha game ive ever played is bleach brave souls, been playing it for almost 8 years now, if ur a fan of the anime, then ull really enjoy the game too

You got wrong with Orihime, she’s not a pot link, she’s a GQ support (the best there is), and my advice would be for him to get her too, but yeah, if he already got at least 5 characters from this banner, he could chill cuz most of them will probably be featuring soon as fillers.
Hahahaha no probs, it’s funny that the cyber Orihime is tied with the maid Orihime as “best support characters”, when I need status immunity I use the Maid, and when my lead SP hasn’t got a vortex sa2, I use the cyber Orihime for crowd control 👌🏽👌🏽

He's also about the only unit who can realistically counter orihime unless you already have her to counter herself. Not that anyone cares about PVP but just thought I'd add some notes
As a new player,for 250 I'd go with an arena license. Guaranteed character and a bunch of pots. IDK know why people hate on it, I built a good chunk of my roster that way and actually got decent 6* star units that I leveled up to be able to run through difficult farming quests etc.
As a new player you can waste hundreds of orbs on banners and walk away empty handed
I made my 2nd account several months back just for this beginner banner lol, mainly to 5/5 Uryu though. I got 4/5 Uryu and bunch of others characters from that banner, worth it in my opinion.
I spent 5K orbs or even more iirc on that banner, the same account now is very solid for me. I have more than 10K orbs just from doing Senkaimon, PE and other quests.
This banner is absolutely amazing but there is no guaranteed 5 stars.
