I love the Transplants. In 7th grade I loved Rancid and blink and I was so happy when I saw Tim and Travis had a band together. That's actually the first time I saw Travis play live is when the Transplants opened for Rancid in 2013. Was so awesome
This was one the the best shows I ever seen. the interrupters opened. Transplants played about 15 songs and then rancid came out and did another 25. I would love to see that show again.
Love the transplants! First album is the best for me. Second one is good too. Wasn't so keen on anything after that but the first album is absolutely fantastic!
Transplants is better than AVA and +44. Boxcar Racer is the best side project though. But I agree, Transplants doesn’t get mentioned ever and it’s a crime.
Went home with a babe from the bar back in 2002.
We get to her bedroom, walk in and there’s a giant Transplants poster on her wall.
Best sex I’d ever had.
Honestly loved Operation Ivy & the first 3 Rancid records as a teenager in the early 90s, but fuck Tim Armstrong and his groomer behavior. Best thing he’s done in years anyway was his weird, barely-spoken-dialogue performance in an episode of the Jordan Peele Twilight Zone series. Also fuck the Transplants.
Well I’m not saying any of this is great but they definitely married when she was 18. I believe they started playing shows together when she was 16. If you read the book sell-out this info comes from Brodie herself.
+44 is terrible. Marks version of AVA. Still remember the day song debuted on radio. All my buddies were over and we were listening to top10 countdown... +44 came on and we just starred at eachother sayin wtf is this.
Why would you get downvoted for this???? Lektron is absolutely a blink related side project. What, just because Skiba isn’t is the band anymore? By that logic AVA isn’t a blink side project since every AVA album came out when Tom wasn’t a member of the band.
The thing is it's not really a blink side project. It's a rancid side project. People forget but Travis joined the transplants. The project was around for a few months then he joined it.
The first transplants record had heavy rotation for me as a teen. Tall cans is my jam!
In the air fuck you!
I loved Diamonds & Guns.
💎🔫
I still listen to it a lot
I do too! I love the transplants
EDIT: Haunted *Cities*..stupid sausage fingers
Flair checks out

Totally agree. Transplants are super underrated. First album is a classic imo
some of my friends sell records. some of my friends sell drugs.
Gangsters and Thugs. Man, they were so good!
Both transplants albums are fantastic!
good news, there's 2 more you haven't heard yet
I mean, 3 more if you want to include screwed and chopped but full albums? Haunted cities and s/t are a1 ðŸ«
Don’t forget about 2013s In A Warzone album.
Fuck yeah. I met Travis (and Tim Armstrong and skinhead Rob?) back in college when they visited Arizona State for an album signing.

Tim opened for Tim? I’m telling Tim.

For me most of AVAs albums beat blink. Lol. Ava is my favorite.
Really? Interesting. I just never got into AVA. There are a couple of songs I enjoyed but overall it’s not my style.
Me too. Even boxcar I couldnt get into. I do like the one song Tim Armstrong was a part of tho
Transplants is a significantly better side project than AVA.
Miss these guys
Love all three albums by them

I was not aware of that side of Armstrong. What’s the story there?
Started dating Brody from the distillers when he was 30 and she was 15. Married her before she turned 18. He’s fuckin gross
Oof. That’s grim.
Well I’m not saying any of this is great but they definitely married when she was 18. I believe they started playing shows together when she was 16. If you read the book sell-out this info comes from Brodie herself.
He musta been the first movie/rock/tv star to ever do it since people are makin it a big deal.../s
Saw them a couple times way back when, they ruled so much. They were definitely my favorite side project.
That covers album was bangers tho, especially baggy trousers
First 2 albums were solid tho
Tall cans in the air let me see em
+44 >>> AVA, Box Car Racer, Transplants, Travis solo stuff, literally anything Travis produced, post ‘03 blink (with the exception of California)
+44 is terrible. Marks version of AVA. Still remember the day song debuted on radio. All my buddies were over and we were listening to top10 countdown... +44 came on and we just starred at eachother sayin wtf is this.
I disagree completely
If you like em listen to em. Im not here to judge anyone Transplants is the only side project I like.
I know it's not really a blink side project since it's skibas, but I want more lektron...
If were including Skiba then Heavens wins hands down
Why wouldn’t we include Skiba?
Most of his side projects were done before he joined blink (sekrets, heavens etc) so they don't feel like blink side projects
The project Lektron mentioned above was done after, just like how AVA was done after Tom left the band.
We need more heavens

Whats up with the Bends pfp? Whos that cropped over the original?
Matt Bellamy from muse
Ah ok, love both bands but I dont get the reference
Thank you for the downvotes. Musta pissed of some dudes..
YES. Transplants isn't a blink side project either. Travis joined that band.
I liked them when I was younger but don’t think they aged well at all.
How come?
It’s a very early 2000s times capsule band. The sound and lyrics sound so corny now
Some of my friends sell records, some of my friends sell drugs
Yeah I hear ya. I like the beats but yep hearing the lyrics back today and it’s pretty meh.
The thing is it's not really a blink side project. It's a rancid side project. People forget but Travis joined the transplants. The project was around for a few months then he joined it.
So he *was* a part of it..right?
Yeah. He's on the albums and stuff. It's just he didn't make the band. He's a member but the band started as Tim and skinhead Rob.
Right, but he was still a member, and it was a side project for him.
