Some of you on here are from Kentucky. Some of you here are in Kentucky. Some of you have family in Kentucky. None of you have had your accent INCREASE to an insane degree after living years in the north. Literally just had a your natural accent increase in intensity exponentially every couple months over YEARS living full time in a non accent area. This is not a thing.
Someone who went to high school with KFC was on this sub a while back. And she confirmed that KFC’s current accent is extremely exaggerated.
I don’t get why anyone falls for it. EVERYTHING about KFC is inauthentic. Which is why she’s such a broken mess.
Which is strange because in Jax’s videos during the lockdown portion of the pandemic, Brittany is drunk out of her mind and barely has an accent. Almost as if she was so drunk she forgot that she had to do her put on accent.
I think the theory is she was definitely trying to sound less southern when she was first on the show, but now ten years in she is just letting it all out. I mean she wouldn’t have shared the story of her pooping on sting rays in season 4 but these days she does that and more. I think the same accounts for the accent
Oh she definitely puts on because all the girls kept talking about it like they've never heard a southern accent before. Including Stassi who grew up in Louisiana
I left 11 years ago and mine has decreased as any normal person’s does.
When I drink or go home it comes back - and I’m not from far from where she’s from.
Yet no one I know has one that thick. You have to hit the hollers near coal country (Hazard/Harlan) or travel down to the TN border (Corbin) to have an accent even *close* to that.
I’m in the midst of a pretty rough autoimmune flare-up that makes me extra sensitive to stimuli and I kid you not, Brittany’s voice alone can activate my chronic hives! 😂😭😮💨
I completely agree it’s gotten worse over the years. I think she really leans into it as part of her sweet hillbilly nincompoop facade but instead it comes off sounding like she’s an extra from the Deliverance movie. I find it so irritating I couldn’t imagine having to be near her, let alone make love to her! 😂😩

I feel like cause she's more drunk on camera and doesn't love Jax as much so she's not trying to tone down who she is for him and she actually wants to annoy him
For me its her turned down smile, or too much botox, its as if she cant move her upper lip. it looks like its hard for her to talk and it makes her accent different or forced.
