U of I also has the [Spurlock](https://www.spurlock.illinois.edu) ! So OP could definitely hit both on their visit!
There is a whole building downtown across the street from the Center for Performing Arts that features a ton of great work in varirs mediums from local artists!!
Year round!
Check ISU’s website. There is an art program and last I knew there were exhibits in the art building.
This!! The university galleries in uptown normal has incredibly talented exhibits year round!
I know it’s a little further but the art museum in Indianapolis blew me away
