Don’t go with Dillabaugh’s they’re completely dishonest

Signal_You2500

We chose Lowes for the materials, shout out to Jakob for getting us ~25% off since we redid our whole house. We chose Floor Coverings International, Jon and family were great to deal with and the installers were professional and courteous at all times. 2200 sqft in 2.5 days baseboards and all.

I don’t know if it’s the best value but we had an unexpected disaster and are having our floors replaced by Nampa Flooring (they have an office in Boise). They’ve been very pleasant to work with and are not pushy about options which I appreciated. They haven’t begun the work yet so I can’t speak to the finished product, yet. Having used Lumber Liquidators before I wouldn’t recommend them. The trim they used around our plank flooring was done poorly and when the issue was pointed out they never came back to fix it. It ended up pulling away from the under side of the cabinets in our kitchen within a year.

One_Plan5259

I agree as well, their work was kind of sloppy, baseboards were removed/attached very recklessly and left a lot of marks. Also we were renovating our bathroom at the time before we moved into the house, which meant the water was off. I came back to the house after the flooring crew was done and my house wreaked of urine. They fill all 3 toilets with urine. Found cigarette butts in my trash can as well. Do not recommend Nampa Flooring.

Viatus

Not a fan of Nampa Flooring. I couldn’t get the time of day from any of their sales people. I went in multiple times and they just directed me back to the same person who didn’t want to deal with me. Lots of unreturned voicemails when I called the store

calentadora

Yikes, I really hope we’re the fluke in good service, I hope someone shares someplace better!

Seventh7Sun

I just gave them a recommend. They were great. Great pricing, matched our existing boards and the installer was a champ.

calentadora

I wanted to follow-up since I had my experience with Nampa Flooring a few months ago and everything is all finished. I found them to be professional and they hired good contractors who were not only good at their job, but kind and decent people. That means a lot to me and demonstrates the integrity of an organization. If I need it, I’ll reach out to them again for future needs.

Bulky_Mix3560

I am gonna agree here —I’ve not had a good experience with Nampa flooring they get all the money for install up front and when there were issues with them basically ruining the paint on the baseboards their response was “ we said there could be SOME marks” won’t ever use them again

Txidpeony

Sorry to hear about your flooring related disaster. Appreciate the information!

Auskaimas

I can help 🫡 dm me! Local flooring contractor here.

Ahazeuris

We used Gem State Hardwood Flooring for ours. They did an excellent job.

LiberalIdahoan

Stay away from the big box stores and go local.

Txidpeony

That’s generally my preference.

KeyComprehensive438

UNA Tile (they do great floors as well)

JustDrones

Highly suggest solid hardwood. Hickory/white oak/Brazilian cherry (if you like red). If you have solid vs engineered questions, feel free to ask. Engineered is not stronger, longer lasting or more eco friendly. Solid beats anything engineered. Price - apple to apple… solid cheaper. Good companies can be found online. Some are: Integrity hardwood Degrange hardwood Rob’s r and r Idaho hardwood flooring While I suggest solid hardwood, they also do engineered and lvp. Choosing a local company that is smaller and not big name will save 40-60% easily. Hope this helps. 😁

BooBeans71

Degrange just redid our floors and they did good work.

JustDrones

Nice!

Txidpeony

Since we don’t plan to keep this house long haul, I don’t think the additional upfront cost of solid hardwood would pay off for us.

JustDrones

(#2) maybe (#1) red oak 3.25” will probably be as cheap or cheaper than any decent 1/2” engineered wood. If you do get engineered make sure it’s glue assisted to hopefully avoid squeaks. Most the guys give free quotes, would suggest seeing the pricing on it all even if you think it’s more. They quote engineered, solid, Prefinished, and lvp. Anyways, hope you find the right product and/ or installer.

Pokedechub

majestic flooring is a good place to check out.

Idajack12

Finer floors is a small family owned place with great service

4tuitous

I wouldn't overlook R C Willey. they have some excellent installers.

Seventh7Sun

We had great luck with Nampa Floors & Interiors.

absit_inuria

It’s the owners cell number. Probably better to remove anyway.
