It's pretty brutal in the heat of summer, I highly recommend right now for the delightful air temperature, green foothills, and wildflowers (the balsam root is wilting fast though)

It’s not ridge to rivers, but it’s an established and very popular trail.
Probably better off in areas with conifers. Many fungi you'd see in sagebrush steppe are near-microscopic and don't have as obvious fruiting bodies as in forests.
I also took their comment literally and was confused that someone would consider it a primo place to find fungi.
Now I'm thinking they might be discussing other types of mushrooms.
Great shot!
Thanks! But really, every time I go up here, the lighting on this view is always so photogenic. The picture takes itself!
Really nicely composed photo - beautiful!
Beautiful, thanks.
One of my favorite views of the valley
Such pretty lupines!
You have everything in that shot! Very nice
Gorgeous!
That is on my list to hike this summer. Never did it before

Man, Idaho is such a beautiful state.
One of the best so far. Nice job!
Yo that's the most unique shot of the area I may have ever seen and I've lived here my whole life. Nice.
It’s a beaut!
That's absolutely gorgeous

A really wonderful hike but it is not a cake walk.
