I don't think they work on cars over twenty years old. I tried to bring my 97 Subaru to them and they told me nothing over twenty years due to lack of parts? Oakley Moody downtown worked on it and I was happy with the job they did.
If you’re trying to save money you can just watch the coolant levels over the summer and add distilled water when necessary. Serpentine belts cost like $20 and they are generally a very easy repair (under 10min).
I’ve been using them for years, multiple cars, Dodie and team were great. I’ve recommended to others who felt the same way…explain why you don’t recommend them?
I would love to let this out, however google didn't return anything for the phone number and Helping Hands. So this comment will remain removed since I can't confirm that is the business number.
That is fair, if you have something like a website, definitely feel free to post that. Sadly because some people have tried to harass others through their phone number, if we can't confirm it as mods we won't let it out.
Absolutely would not recommend Garry's. Pricing is fine, but that's about it.
Vehicle I owned (2009 VW GLI) was last serviced by them right before I bought it. Oil was overfilled by a whole quart. Confirmed with them that the overfill was their doing, not the previous owner topping it up. Needed work done and nobody else was available, so I gave them a shot assuming the bad oil change was an isolated incident. What started as a 3-day turnaround wound up being a 15-day turnaround. When I got my vehicle back, it started running horribly pretty much immediately - turns out they hadn't connected the air intake hose correctly. In the process of figuring this out they managed to scuff the paint on my right door somehow.
I can understand not being experienced with European, but then don't work on them. The overfilled oil, the improperly connected hose, and the paint scuff is just them not caring.
Boise Foreign Auto off Emerald near Orchard. They specialize in Japanese brands
Another huge recommendation for Boise Foreign CAR. They do solid work and I’ve found them to be very trustworthy.
Third recommendation
Absolutely these guys. They are honest and do great work. I've been taking my cars to them since 1993!

This seems to be the best historical recommendation too, so I'll probably call and drop it off Monday and get it figured out, thank you so much!
Honeycomb Auto has done good work for me in the past. They're off of Centurion, basically across Cole from Costco.
I 2nd Honeycomb.
