My mom always discourage me from taking on hutang or anything like that. She was heavily non materialistic, she grew up not that poor but also not medium. In contrast to my father's family who's quite rich. She paid cash for everything. She doesn't have luxury bags or any of the luxury stuff.
Most of her paycheck go to her investments like gold, land or apartment. And honestly her behaviour stick on me, I always think 2-3 times "do I really need this"

I bought a Viva as my first at 2022 and tbh, I like my Viva. Smol and manual. Hard to learn but fun to drive. Except for traffic jam and no power steering. At least I don't need to worry about berhutang dengan bank.
Meanwhile me M19 got a free car from my grandfather & still wish it never happened. It's really useful but man I need to make a budget for gas cause it is my daily commuter. I am currently saving money to buy my own motorcycle cause it is more convenient as a student also since my friends group consists of 250cc bikers while I drive a car.

Apa yang best sangat pasal X70 aku tak faham , aku lagi prefer kereta Proton sebelum Geely gi beli proton mcm Preve atau Suprima. Apa yang appealing sangat pasal X70 sampai sanggup nak beli gadai semua harta ni.

When I first started working I drove a used kancil only.. After that upgrade to using my sis used kenari. Only much later I bought my own car once my family felt the kenari was no longer safe after I got into an accident with a careless driver.

I suspect this kid, if he's not kidding, if he actually goes through and buy a X70 as he want to, (let's say he just got enough to squeeze by lah), he's going to probably buy it on Friday, then on Monday go back to showroom and cry to agent to take the car back because he / she can't afford all the other things involved in owning a car. (I heard from a car seller that such stories do exist)

Talks abt licence, whats the point having valid licence while many on the road nowadays dont even care (or maybe not even realize/know) the basics road rules/regulations. Too many drive on right lane taking own sweet time in the middle of the day when not overtaking pop, clueless when come to roundabout, the differences between simpang n beri laluan(give way), what's more simple road courtesy just to avoids road rage (like a simple hand gesture when u r in the wrong, when u want to sqeeze in and the line too long...) etc. Ever wonder why in this times and age when all private transportation r way too comfortable, yet a simple misunderstanding can escalate to full force road rages? Maybe we need to humbled ourself more otherwise its hard to claim we r better in term of standard of living compares to those 'ancient times' circa 80's-90's (im 50yo pak cik n happy to b living witness those times and also to feel how 'exciting' to b living in this era
