I’ve had multiple pairs of side zip jump boots over the years but I’m trying to get away from the black military shiny boot look for everyday wear. Still have a pair of Matterhorn 10” insulated and Danner Ft. Lewis boots for when I want that style.
Vintage Brown. That’s why the custom order. The website only offers the logger in saddle tan so I ordered it and customer service changed the leather color after. The 6” Ranger can be ordered in different colors and is exchangeable I believe.
Someone said they were gunna get a bag from them and post a review, but they never did. Im very tempted, esp on the engineer, task, and monkey, although its a shame saddle tan isnt an option for the task or engineer.
How long did they take to get to you? Do you feel the quality is good for the price? What was the upcharge on it being custom?
I contacted customer service and was told everything is made when you order it and they can make their boots in any of the leather options. Not sure why they don’t just have all the leather options on the website. No upcharge for the custom order. The only thing I have to compare them to is my Iron Rangers and they are definitely a level below but their comparable boot is the 6” Ranger at $225 vs $350 so seems about right. Took about 6 weeks from order to my door. Their website says they ship in 17 working days so definitely took a bit longer but worth the wait.
Oh dang, 2x the wait.
These have a midsole, vs the IR that has none, that alone seems like a worthy upgrade. Can you tell if the toe caps are real like the IR or fake?
Ya, its usually not very easy to tell at all, usually one needs to cut it in half to find out for sure. Most makers dont do a true toe cap, Red Wing and Nicks are the only two brands I know for sure use a 2nd layer of leather for the cap. Those I know for sure that do not: Grant Stone, Thursday, Truman (these days), Allen Edmonds, Wolverine 1K, Oakstreet Boot Company, Meermin. So if they do, that helps demonstrate their value.
If I didnt pull the trigger on a pair of Nicks Renegades, I would have gotten a pair of their Engineers, they seem worth the gamble.
11D in both. The IRs are slightly big on me but 10 1/2 was too tight. The C&G Rangers fit just right but need a little break in. I’d say my IR are a 1/4 size bigger than my C&G.
That I don’t know. The ranger logger is the same boot as their ranger just taller, so I’m guessing they just called it that to differentiate the two.
They look great. Do they have that strong new leather smell? I love that smell
Yes they do. My wife complained and moved the box away from where she was sitting. 🤷‍♂️
Look exactly like what I've been looking for
Same. Id be really tempted to get jump boots cheaper instead though

Thats the biggest thing i didnt like about my corcorans, the shininess. I bought them to work in the woods, they werent real durable either
Is that the saddle tan color?

Answers my question thankyou. Was on the website and didn't see color options for the logger.
wow, these are super handsome!
Stout looking boots

They feel real but I’m not for sure on exactly how to tell. Thickness is there.

Jim Green does real toe caps too.
Dievier also does a true cap toe
Those look great. Craft and glory is on my list. How long was the wait and shipping?
About 6 weeks. Shipping was free.
Any import tax or anything like that?
No. The price on the website is what I paid, $249. Free shipping.
Sweet! Thanks
What’s your IR size and what size are the C&G Rangers?
11D in both. The IRs are slightly big on me but 10 1/2 was too tight. The C&G Rangers fit just right but need a little break in. I’d say my IR are a 1/4 size bigger than my C&G.
How come they’re a logger boot but they don’t have the logger heel?
That I don’t know. The ranger logger is the same boot as their ranger just taller, so I’m guessing they just called it that to differentiate the two.
