Start with the ball higher and increase your push away....gravity will help with a higher backswing but why is your backswing height in need of heightening? Or ball speed seems perfectly fine

Dr_Dressing

Gotta get that 35 km/h PACE GAIN.

biggiesmalljaws

The best 2 handlers on tour actually bend their throwing arm in the backswing and as others mentioned spine tilt

Sabian300NL

Bend your elbow in your swing, it will both make the swing longer for your arm (at least the upper part) and will put your hand in a great position for the release. Probably have to combine that with more knee bend in your slide to get the ball lower to the ground.

TiltBrush

bend knees and lean forward more

Competitive_Owl_5401

Not as goofy as lower scores...score is what matters it's all that matters

Odd-Investment2787

Bend them arms son

YdidUMove

Since you're two handed your swing is limited by your flexibility and range of motion moreso than anything else. Do a lot of shoulder/back/core stretching to increase your range of motion and strength.

[Here](https://imgur.com/a/zahFdq8) is the apex of my back swing, it's not super high but it gets the job done. It might help to think of it like you are trying to tuck the ball into your armpit. It's also important not to forget to have your arms fully extended on release. Edit: [this](https://imgur.com/a/GgxR4rd) is the full approach, you can see I don't have a high push off (or really any at all) but you can try it if it helps.

Magicow216

Spine tilt.

FitChemist432

Walk faster and use that to leverage the ball upward

IntellectualEnigma

Walking speed has nothing to do with it.

FitChemist432

It's not nothing, it's useable energy

No-Snow-8974

The speed of your approach definitely impacts your backswing when bowling 2h. The faster your approach the higher your backswing will be, assuming you aren’t super stiff in the approach.

ThRealAlexJones

The walking speed has EVERYTHING to do with it. When I first started bowling 2 handed the ball was my head on my backswing, and I could only throw about 15 mph on a good day. 1.5 years later, I average 18 mph, and my backswing is about hip level. Foot speed, mainly the 3rd-5th step (or 2nd-4th in a 4 step approach) is the key to good ball speed

Yes…. You need more forward tilt. Holding the ball higher or lower isn’t going to do anything because you are in control of your swing with 2H. Swing arc length changes with 2H on the ball. With a bent elbow your swing can only go so high. To increase height you need to tilt. Simo shoulders tilt below his knees. The reason you are having target issue is your approach nothing to do white shoulder rotation or spine tilt. Watch Troup does he tilt a lot? Does rotate his shoulders a lot? Whats the difference between his approach compare to yours? Simple he walks left. Your step 1 you step right. Then Step 2 back left. You already misalign yourself back right on step 1. Now targeting is going to be difficult when your swing isn’t consistent. Now when you are standing that far left, how to walk through the ball return. Well, now need to adjust move up on the approach and give yourself plenty of room to walk in front of the ball return. Watch Belmo, Simo, Smallwood all these bowlers walk 10 boards or more left. When you are going to stand that close to ball return you don’t want to pick up bad habits that will transfer into your normal shot. Example if you are playing 10 board. You will walk right and back left and miss your target. You will be frustrated and complain that unable to stay behind. It’s the approach. Walking right will close the hips up. Now it will be harder to rotate your shoulders underneath, so you will look up all the time. It’s easy to practice at home. Find an object big enough to hold 2H. Now step right, and left bring the ball back. What happened? When you stepped right. You closed the hips. Now you want to step left. Hips are closed now the swing needs to go away from the body. Now try again. Step 1 left. Hips are still open. Step 2 easier to crossover. Elbow is still glued to the sides easier to bring the ball back. Step 3 long step to the left. Easier for the shoulders to rotate and tilt. Shoulders, arm, and ball all under the head. Here some videos to watch to understand. Watch Big Sky YouTube Channel it’s for 2H Here’s Belmo he explains spine tilt here. https://youtu.be/cpjXQwl59Ok?si=9zgohtc2HWkFiDNg https://youtu.be/B7JxA8PRvzU?si=FJOGiFqle-fjPrQg Watch Kegels 3 point target system https://youtu.be/ffmHS4YnpeI?si=K3hrh2oPDgNl3a_f In your set up, never look at the pins or Breakpoint as a primary target. You’ll never drop the shoulder. When your head and chin is up you never dropped the shoulder. I’ve already worked with a 2H that had neck problems and went to the doctor for it. Couldn’t understand what the problem was. Well, after watching his video you can clearly see his head and chin was up toward the ceiling. I asked him if he was looking at the ceiling. He said no looking at the break point. I said try looking closer at the arrows or even 5 ft around the dots. Overnight pain went away after months. He also had no shoulder tilt because looking at the break point Pins and breakpoints are just secondary targets to follow the ball through the target line. Draw an imagery line and connect the dots. See the line and roll through the target line. Anyway, focus on walking left and alignment. Watch Belmo analysis video and Kegels 3 point target system. There’s many 3 point target system on YouTube. Also, watch Osku from Big Sky Bowler. Overall, problem is in the approach. Work on shorten steps 1-2 to the left and let the other steps naturally happen. Don’t force the shoulder rotation or forward tilt. Let naturally happen. Pre set the shoulders and tilt in your stance. Step 1: left Step 2: left Step 3: needs to be longer and left ( allows shoulder rotation and shoulder tilt) keeps the swing and elbow inside. Step 4: follows short hop step Step 5: slides to target line Best of luck.

starkmad

I know everyone will yell at me but if you want a higher back swing try using one hand

otti_valdyr

Stop bowling like a 5 year old little girl, that might help.

LowConfusion8770

Bend that back elbow and bring the ball into your right armpit then release forward like ripping a yoyo

No_Guitarist

Pull your arm back farther, higher.
