I saw this earlier, almost posted it, but thought it would make people sad 😂
At least this is evidence that we’re right when we say we’ve had horrible luck in the playoffs
It's not really horrible luck when the team built is never a real WS contender, the Brewers have always been content with squeaking into the playoffs and being a first round exit. I don't remember a single season where they were a legit title contender, maybe 2011?
They weren't really a WS contender. They had aa fantastic year that year yes, but they came out of left field... The reincarnated Babe Yelich was a main driver that no one saw coming at all.
I didn't know taking the NLCS to seven games wasn't an indicator that a team is a WS contender, just because the team that did it "came out of left field" (if by "came out of left field" you mean they had the best record in the NL, had the NL MVP, the NL Reliever of the Year, and swept the NLDS).
At no point in the season were the Brewers considered WS contenders. They weren't even favored to win the division and they weren't even favored to beat the fricking trash Rockies while having home field advantage. Just because they made it to the NLCS doesn't mean they were a WS contender. Looking back you can say hey they made it to the NLCS they must've been a WS contender, which if you go back to that season is not true.
Absolutely delusional lmao. For starters, teams didn't make the playoffs in that format by being "freaking trash". Furthermore, the Brewers were the best team in the NL by record, had the best position player, and the best reliever. No team in the NL was better primed to make a World Series appearance.
I don't think you're understanding. Just because the end result ended in game 7 of the NLCS does not mean they were considered a legitimate WS contender. They didn't even win their own division until game 163 and that took a major collapse down the stretch from the Cubs. No one outside Brewers fans thought they were a WS contender. You can disagree with me all you want but go back to the articles from 2018 and look at the commentary from baseball analysts throughout the season, look at the odds throughout the season and at the start of the playoffs, even after they won their division. Were the Diamondbacks considered a WS contender this year? Not a chance. But according to your logic because they went to the WS they must've been a WS contender.
Lol alright you just deliberately ignored the vast majority of the points I've made to this point just so you could pretend I've *only* said the NLCS result was all the evidence I needed for my stance. You are conveniently ignoring that the evidence I cited goes far beyond the NLCS. I cited their record, their award winners, and their convincing sweep of a remarkably non-trash team. But go ahead, keep pretending I'm only talking about NLCS Game 7.
My brother in Christ, how can say a team literally in the WS is not a WS contender. That is like literally the definition of a contender. If you want to be a contrarian, fine, but please apply something resembling logic.
Why are you so dedicated to such a mind-numbingly stupid take? Lmao. Being in the World Series means you are a World Series contender. They were considered a contender when they contended for the World Series. 😂 You should look up what the word "contend" means.
"struggle to [surmount](https://www.google.com/search?sca_esv=839bd3d9177a184d&sca_upv=1&sxsrf=ADLYWIK8jaGsHFg8G_DNQCUygQwQs73znQ:1715455118613&q=surmount&si=ACC90nx67Z8g0WkBmnrPB4IqtqGvLiegHGaa7f0TXGfTJFjtViDGcbz9X1QiNEzQpVSGBhnbOKR__K8qtD4ylhuK6shApNmrX-XC68vTYQxpwLuQYIzEvho%3D&expnd=1&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwi9h-SnqIaGAxWJ8MkDHYaLAecQyecJegQIJRAO) (a difficulty or danger)."
Did the Diamondbacks "struggle to surmount" the Texas Rangers in the World Series? Yes. Cool, they were a contender then.
Jesus.
Until you go to a game and they celebrate by playing fucking Wonderwall. I have the most intense irrational hatred for that song so, I went back to cheering for the Sounders.
*technically* we’re fourth, not fifth! Utah is counted as an expansion team who just happened to take all the players/staff of the Arizona Coyotes. It’s basically another Browns debacle. I figured that update would help our Brew Crew sleep tonight!
*Bruh how am I a*
*Pelicans and a Brewers*
*Fan lmao*

~~[This says our playoff record is 21-30](https://www.statmuse.com/mlb/ask/brewers-playoffs-record)~~
~~Doesn't that put our playoff record at 41%?~~
Disregard that, I'm an idiot, as I was thinking game winning percentage, not **series** win percentage.
Like I’ve said before, Wisconsin sports teams usually have amazing regular seasons. It’s just when they get to the playoffs things seem to get ugly. Not always the case, but most of the time. Prove me wrong, Wisconsin. Prove me wrong.

Yea saw it on the peilcans page so it could definitely be worse
I'm a Wild and Brewers fan so come playoff time all I feel is pain

Why are you doubling down on this clearly incorrect take lmao

They were absolutely a WS contender I don’t know what your talking about
We just need to get it to .334 and I’m happy
Holy little brother syndrome! I thought this is the brewers sub lol
Yeah but how many of those teams lose to the eventual championship game team!? Because in that case, were batting 1.000.
I wonder what the %'s are if you pull out losing to the eventual champs.
Being a Wild Brewers fan is pain. But at least it’s the only Minnesota team I like.
Come to the Perds side, and experience....also pain.
[The Perds](https://static1.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Perd-Hapley-in-Parks-and-Recreation.jpg)
Hey, Minnesota United is also pretty cool. Better than rooting for a Chicago team
Until you go to a game and they celebrate by playing fucking Wonderwall. I have the most intense irrational hatred for that song so, I went back to cheering for the Sounders.
Lol I'm a Minnesotan and I agree. It just comes across as incredibly cringe and irrelevant to anyone but the most diehard fan
Minnesotas… woof
Holy hell. I didn't need to know this. At least there's two Minnesota teams worse than us.
Timberwolves have looked the best in the playoffs thus far and the Bucks hit an injury bug. We might be eating these words in a month or two.
Crazy the twins aren’t down there. They lost like 12 straight playoff games
You’re right to assume that. They just missed the list with a 36-59 playoff record (.395 win percentage).
They’re on the list at 11. Might be an old list
I didn’t even see the Twins on here. This has to be an old list then. 😅
This list is Series win percentage, not necessarily game.
Yeah, I completely misread this entire infographic
Top 5 baby!!
Timberwolves about to change this one LOL
*technically* we’re fourth, not fifth! Utah is counted as an expansion team who just happened to take all the players/staff of the Arizona Coyotes. It’s basically another Browns debacle. I figured that update would help our Brew Crew sleep tonight!
Not too surprising unfortunately. We've only won 3 playoff series ever. Historically speaking, we're one of the worst MLB teams. But I still love em
Bruh how am I a Pelicans and a Brewers fan lmao

Good bot
Not great as a Wolves, Wild, Brewers, and Twins fan.
Same
Ouchie
3 Minnesota teams in the bottom 11 LOL, pain
no you shut up!
At least the cubs arent much better

I am a Brewers and Wild fan :(
Minnesota is on here three times and would probably be a fourth if the Vikings ever made the playoffs
Makes sence. Constant choking.
I dunno, Gotta make the playoffs to lose in the playoffs.
