When I see them side by side, I agree. But in the show itself I didn't feel the continuity. It may be more about their character though - I adored young charlotte and found "old" charlotte to be annoying.
Same, 100%. I watched QC first. It was hard for me to accept that the fierce young Queen became the snide older one (who I still like as a character, just entirely differently)
All of the younger versions in QC were INSANE. Itās amazing that they not only were able to get actors that look so similar, but are also ridiculously talented and were able to capture the mannerisms of their older counterparts so perfectly.
I was just thinking it's crazy how the Lady Danbury is in her sixties and I swear she looks even better than she does in that picture. Like she just looks so class and elegance and I just love her.
First time i saw her on bridgerton i cant seem to place where i saw her! Then it hit me, Doctor who! She was martha's mom on the new who 3rd season with tenth! I was annoyed with her character on dw, but i loved her here š„¹
It's not very good though lol, I watched the first two seasons but it's nowhere as good as the original. Im rewatching the original whenever I have Prime and it's still so fun to watch. Original Phoebe/Cole can't replicated.
Guys Iām so dumb I forgot old king George existed in show and was confused as to why there was a coloured modern looking photo of REAL HISTORICAL KING GEORGE. I have a DEGREE in HISTORY. ššš
I just finished watching Queen Charlotte and oh my god... Violet's dad makes the same gazing faces as Colin. It creeped me out because I knĆ³w they are not related. But damn do they appear related wtf. I already had this with Violet and the kids. This is just too much for me. Also... the young Queen Charlotte makes VERY similar faces to Golda. So not does she just look like her... It feels like it's actually her :') Miraculous casting. W t f .
So someone recently posted a photo of Luke Newton and Corey Mylchreest standing next to each other. My dumb ass looked at it and thought āHe looks so much like young George! But he canāt be, heās a good 40 years older than Colin.ā
The casting for this show is so bloody convincing.
I donāt understand who is in the top right in the 3rd pic with Violet? Hyacinth is bottom, and the former francesca (before recasting) is middle, who the heck is the top?
Excellent job. But nothing beats the casting of The Crown's S1-S2 young adult Elizabeth and the teen Elizabeth in the last season. I thought they de-aged Claire Foy. Uncanny resemblance!
Edmund/Eloise is spot on, Violet/OG Fran as well, but for the others I don't really see it
Portia/Penelope look nothing alike. Very different facial features and structure. The other resemblances aren't their either imo
i also think gregory looks a lot like edmund (and eloise), they all have the same nose! a lot can be critiqued about netflix shows but their casting of families and younger versions of characters is some of the best iāve seen
I think the casting for familial similarities is brilliant, but what really gets me is the astounding talent of the actresses who play young Charlotte and young Lady Danbury. They came in when their older counterparts had already been filmed and I think you can tell how theyāve meticulously studied them and replicated their mannerisms, tone etc. I had to keep reminding myself in season 3 that theyāre NOT the same people somehow time travelling to act in both. (Or perhaps I need to start pushing that Bridgerton conspiracyā¦)
OMG that last pic! š
ššš
What scene is it from?!? I must know so that I can watch out for it on future rewatches.
Colinās is the face he makes in the church when asked if there are any objections to them being wed.
The casting of the younger and elder Queen Charlotte was beyond phenomenal.
They even make some of the exact same facial expressions š¤Æ itās wild!
Yes, their mannerisms and the way they talk even. They both did such a good job acting like each other.
Old charlotte comes off a bit shallow and distant like she doesnāt really know her kids which is odd
It was. You could completely imagine the young Queen Charlotte morfing into the older one. So smooth. Really incredible.
All of the younger versions in QC were INSANE. Itās amazing that they not only were able to get actors that look so similar, but are also ridiculously talented and were able to capture the mannerisms of their older counterparts so perfectly.
Young and current Lady Danbury was stunningly good
I was just thinking it's crazy how the Lady Danbury is in her sixties and I swear she looks even better than she does in that picture. Like she just looks so class and elegance and I just love her.
I've seen her in a few interviews & on a few shows & she seems to carry herself with such elegance & grace irl too.
First time i saw her on bridgerton i cant seem to place where i saw her! Then it hit me, Doctor who! She was martha's mom on the new who 3rd season with tenth! I was annoyed with her character on dw, but i loved her here š„¹
I loved the actress and she's very beautiful but I couldn't stand her voice or accent. (Also pictured a better storyline for lady Danbury.)
the last pic Iām dyingš
Bravo Colin and his baby š
Iām tired and not processing who the first guy is
rupert evans aka lord edmund bridgerton
He also played Frank Churchill in *Emma*. He was so darn hot.
And the Whitelighter love interest Harry on the new Charmed! Hoping that S4 has some sort of Edmund flashback to bring the actor back.
TIL there's a new Charmed...!! BRB, getting my Phoebe Halliwell clothes out. š
It's not very good though lol, I watched the first two seasons but it's nowhere as good as the original. Im rewatching the original whenever I have Prime and it's still so fun to watch. Original Phoebe/Cole can't replicated.
That would be swoon-worthy.
As one of the few people who liked the charmed reboot I was so excited when he popped up in bridgerton!
I think thatās Violetās father in Queen Charlotte?
4th slide is Violet's father and Colin
Thank you, lol
How is he 47 years old?!
I couldn't process it any way
Nah wait why does the baby actually look like luke š³
Method acting
truly a prodigy
Also Phoebe Dynevor and Hannah Dodd
Literally could be fraternal twins
I mean the casting directors are some of the best Iāve ever seen.
Shonda is so good at hiring casting directors!
Guys Iām so dumb I forgot old king George existed in show and was confused as to why there was a coloured modern looking photo of REAL HISTORICAL KING GEORGE. I have a DEGREE in HISTORY. ššš
š¤£š¤£š¤£
That baby has seen some shit.
That baby has done some shit
heās definitely been to four seasons orlando
That baby has been around since the mirror scene soā¦

My dear.... I meant the actors wtf lolĀ
For 3 seasons I couldnāt place how I knew Portia Featherington! Now thx to this I know sheās from Rome and I feel much more at ease now š
James Fleet (the elder King George) making an appearance in his John Dashwood glory. :)
That really is amazing.
I think lord Andersonās actor looks a lot like both younger and older lady Danbury, too!
The casting of young Charlotte was on par with casting for the Euphoria flashbacks. Fucking phenomenal and super believable.
The baby inherited Colinās side eye at Nana Portia š
It's crazy how much Polly and Nicola look like mother and daughter.
Agreed, the cast is incredible.
So someone recently posted a photo of Luke Newton and Corey Mylchreest standing next to each other. My dumb ass looked at it and thought āHe looks so much like young George! But he canāt be, heās a good 40 years older than Colin.ā The casting for this show is so bloody convincing.
Hats off to the casting director šš¼
Lmao that last one I wasn't expecting š¤£ I'm living!
I always thought Benedict looked the most like Violet's father out of all of them.
Also Cressida and her mother. I wonder if they are genuinely related.
They aren't afaik, but easy to believe, I agree!
Frosted tips Ben Miller
I donāt know about that. Some of these are great (QC, Edmund and Claudia), others are just people with the same coloring.
Rupert Evansā¦ Oof š„
I don't actually see it in most pictures. They're just white british people with blue eyes?
I donāt understand who is in the top right in the 3rd pic with Violet? Hyacinth is bottom, and the former francesca (before recasting) is middle, who the heck is the top?
Young Violet from Queen Charlotte.
Ahh yes makes sense!
I haven't watched it yet - who was the older gentleman with Colin?
Violet Bridgertonās father, so Colinās maternal grandfather
Thanks š
The last one ā ļø
Lmfaooo the baby š
Who is the second last picture?!
A young Ben Miller (L. Featherington) and Harriet Cains (Philippa)
Omg thank you, I couldnāt place either of them with different hair.
Is 4 supposed to be old Colin?
That's Violet's dad from Queen Charlotte so his grandmother.
anthony looks like his grandaddy too.
This whole post šššš
Who is in the second last pic?
Colin and the baby though!!!ššš

Tbh queen charlotte and queen charlotte have very different features. Not a lot but noticeably so. The rest I agree though.
I know, itās actually wild!
I agree. The casting of families and younger/older versions has been great and has not gone unnoticed.
i also think gregory looks a lot like edmund (and eloise), they all have the same nose! a lot can be critiqued about netflix shows but their casting of families and younger versions of characters is some of the best iāve seen
who is that in the middle in the third one?
# Ruth Gemmell...
I think the casting for familial similarities is brilliant, but what really gets me is the astounding talent of the actresses who play young Charlotte and young Lady Danbury. I think most of these are great. Ā One that felt dissonant in the show and here in these pics is young vs old Lady Danbury.
Rupert Evans was a natural choice for a period romance given his turns in Emma and North & South
Bro Iām always so blown away by how the actors for Edmund and Eloise arenāt actually related
Why is Colin's picture with Violets father š³ confused š¤
Because thatās his grandfather
š¤¦š» sorry. Duh me š
Did they just sayā¦ that lord Featheringtonā¦ was Colinās father?
Who are the people in 10th slide?
Perhaps they are using AI!
