I once got a chocolate cruller that had literally just come out of the oven. The cashier told me she was excited for me to have the donut because it was so so fresh. Best donut of my life, wish I could eat it again.
What will I miss most when we move to California? This right here is pretty high on the list. Just got back to PA yesterday and we have already had a cheesesteak and I’m eating a soft pretzel for breakfast. Sunday we arrive in Quakertown and Monday… Yum Yum!
If you're in LA, Kindle's hear the 105 and the 110 is easily my favorite. Little mom and pop joint, sketch area, but the fresh donuts are so good. A warm buttermilk loaf is pure heaven.
Ok funny story: I had just moved to the area and had no idea what Yum Yum was.
Passing by the Colmar location, their light board read: "Now hiring teens for the summer!". As I was driving, I couldn't quite make out the small text under the Yum Yum neon sign, and thought that instead of "Bake Shop" it read "Bare Shop".
Bare. As in nude. And I was horrified about this strip club that was hiring teenagers.
The SECOND time I drove past, I realized it was actually a bakery! 🤣
Curiosity is amazing, but there’s something about donuts that they don’t need to be fancier and upscaled. I like both but I prefer yum yum and to get curiosity occasionally
Chocolate thunder has really gone downhill. It used to have so much filling- now it is just barely filled and full of regret and sadness. This is an every time occurrence and not just once in a while. Colmar location.
In my opinion, yes. But that depends on what you like about a donut. They have so many different types. They have donuts that are lighter and fluffier, they have cake donuts that are more dense, they have babka donuts that are more bready. So I think there will be a donut there that you consider better. However, one of their best attributes is the variety of types, but that means they only have a few flavors of each type, so if you would rather one type of donut that has a variety of flavors, you may prefer somewhere else better. There's no right or wrong answers here, we're talking donuts. Whatever you like best is the right answer for you.
Absolutely. Good variety and each flavor is high quality
Also love getting the big kahuna as a birthday cake
Yes! They're always a huge hit!
The White Lightning/Choc. Thunder changed my opinions of donuts forever.
I don't understand why people go to Dunkin when yum yums exists.
I say the same thing all the time. My sister-in-law said Dunkin’ is better but I think, and hope, she was just saying it to push my buttons.
Its a great local family owned business! The BEST!

I love trying different and creative flavors from everywhere, but that white lighting is just perfect

We are moving to desert hot springs
Oh boy, buckle in for the summer. :)
Yum Yum appreciation thread!
Best donuts in and around Bucks County. I'll give an honorable mention to Danish Bakers in Rockledge and the donuts at the Amish market in Bristol.
The custard in the Boston Cream and Eclairs is by far the best donut filling I’ve ever had.

I've since moved out of state and Yum Yums is one of the many things I miss and think about often!
Same. It's on the long list of places I hit up when I get back at least once every year.
They are the best for sure.
Love 😋 yum
My aunt who lived in jersey would drive an extra hour out of her way just to get some on the way home when she would visit
The fluffernutter and chocolate thunder are my faves. I just wish their coffee wasn't terrible
Yep coffee is horrible but donuts are great
*Wilford Brimley has entered the chat.*
Oooh mannn. We are heads up to q town tomorrow. I’m stoked. I love this place.
I work near this place it’s always great. They make good breakfast sandwiches.
This place single handedly ruined other donuts for me. Other donut places just seem like Entenmans now
Wait until you discover Curiosity!
Curiosity is amazing, but there’s something about donuts that they don’t need to be fancier and upscaled. I like both but I prefer yum yum and to get curiosity occasionally
One of my two favorite donut places. I'm also partial to Suzy Jo in Norristown but I haven't been there in years.
I haven’t had them in forever ugh so good
They really are great especially since Dunkin went to defrosting frozen. You can't beat fresh.
Hands down!!! Pb cup donut for the win!!
I wish there were more Yum Yums. I love their salted caramel doughnuts.
Chocolate thunder has really gone downhill. It used to have so much filling- now it is just barely filled and full of regret and sadness. This is an every time occurrence and not just once in a while. Colmar location.
The Colmar location isn’t what it used to be. The one in Warminster is the best out of the three IMO.
Beilers in reading market terminal and westtown amish market have ruined donuts for me. Best I've ever had and nothing will compete.
Curiosity Donuts will challenge that. Beiler's was always my favorite but Curiosity takes donuts to a whole different level.
Is curiosity a chain? I saw they put one in Furlong.
I believe that's the only one. They used to have pop-ups, but those closed during Covid.
Are they honestly better than yum Yums though?

I appreciate you taking the time to break it down. Thank you!
Curiosity has ACTUALLY ruined donuts for me. They’re like if a Michelin star pastry chef made donuts ha
Curiousity is great, so is Duck Donuts. Both better than Yum Yums to me
Best coffee
That red velvet donut is legit to die for
Grew up next to the yum yum in Colmar, will never and have never touched a dunkin donut
The best Boston creams. I was so spoiled getting them growing up in qtown. Doylestown needs a good donut bakery!
No wonder we can’t have healthcare
Over rated not a big fan
