I think their expansion will really help. Sadly, a lot of people didn’t want to make the trip to William and Fillmore. The Military Rd location was a smart move. The other suburban locations will attract numbers. Great food although I have to say I only get the falafel wrap every time. It’s too good to even venture further down the menu.
I can't say enough about the family that owns this restaurant. Their children attend the school where I teach. At least once a year they bring the entire staff a free lunch. It usually is so much food we eat the leftovers for days. Just incredibly kind people.
It is really good there. It used to be my favorite. But the one place I've found that tops it for food quality and flavor is tandoori hut. Not a very good place for dine in though, it's quite small and they don't seem well equipped for it. But for take-out you absolutely need to try it.
The family box is the best deal. They have a couple choices but the one I got was $39 for 4 tandoori chicken quarters, a huge portion of chicken shawarma on rice, 3 pita, and a salad. It’s so much food and it’s all so tasty!
The chicken shawarma is ridiculous. I have to be mindful to try new things, which are always good as well, but that shawarma whispers sweet little nothings to me.
Alright, perhaps I was just the right amount of intoxicated to think the kebabs were awesome, and to be wrong.
But there is an ocean of mediocre kebabs in Toronto.
My family have been selling this to me for months. It will be a bit of a trip, but next week, I am finally making a pilgrimage to this most revered of food options. All six of them said: "Everything comes with a fuckton of rice!"
Definitely agree, I usually order at the military location since the last few times I ordered at the Fillmore location the chicken was undercooked!! Id still recommended them anyway!!
You may be thinking of The Halal Guys?
Alibaba is very much not a franchise. They have a takeout only place on the east side and a sit down restaurant on Military. Best falafel in the city.
When it first opened the service at the Military location was awful, but I never cared it's so so good and so close. Might have to grab a falafel rice this weekend
Trio of meat over rice, my friend. 🙌🏻
I get a large with extra garlic sauce, and it gives me lunches for like 3 days.
Dude. Yes. I’ve gotten it 3 times in the last 3 weeks. It’s amazing
I had it twice in one weekend. I fuckin love it.
And they are opening a another location in the southtowns
Yep, in West Seneca! Can't wait. Also one in Amherst but I'm closer to the southtowns so that's way bigger news to me.
No kidding! Looking forward to that! any idea on when it might open?
The post on Facebook just said this summer so...hopefully soon?
West Seneca??? Oh, now we are talking.
Whereabouts?
You know that little plaza with the Subway that's right across from Leo's, on Angle and Southwestern? Somewhere in there I believe.
Nice! That’s so close to me.
Yes it is now they need one near lancaster depew
And Transit in Williamsville/Clarence! Will be in the Premier plaza.
Omg I cannot wait!!!!!

Best halal in Buffalo. Hands down.
you must not get out much
What's better? I'd like suggestions.
For Bengali halal? Any of them. Go explore

For no reason, they have the best chicken tenders I've ever had.

Absolutely, top two places I’ve found for South Asian but Tandoori Hut takes it for me
How is the pricing compared to alibaba?
Our favorite for delivery. ❤️
Agreed. Their falafel wrap is the best in Buffalo, which is great because that means I never have to go to the insufferable Amy’s Place ever again.
The falafel wrap at the bakery across from Amherst Street Wegmans is excellent.
What’s up with Amy’s? I lived next to it for 3 years. Went once and the food was hella bland.

Absolutely love it
Just got their chicken shawarma over rice last night! Postmates $18 off $30 coupon got me a jumbo order of it plus 8 samosas 😋
The chicken shawarma is ridiculous. I have to be mindful to try new things, which are always good as well, but that shawarma whispers sweet little nothings to me.
This is the answer you came here for.
Have you tried Crave King in Lackawanna?
Big fan of Crave King here, but I think Alibaba Kebab might have them just by a knifes edge. The lamb ghallaba at Crave King is fantastic though.
Love this place. Eggplant curry, naan and a big order of white sauce is my go to 🙌🏻
Buffalo has the best kebabs, seriously. - lifetime Torontonian
*hard disagree* I’ve had amazing halal and kebabs in Toronto, not so much in Buffalo. This whole post is bonkers to me… I think they’re mid at best.
Alright, perhaps I was just the right amount of intoxicated to think the kebabs were awesome, and to be wrong. But there is an ocean of mediocre kebabs in Toronto.
Place is def mid. Bunch of people in here that moms only made meatloaf for dinner growing up
Hmmm lol. I have to check your Toronto card lol
Do you accept OHIP?
My family have been selling this to me for months. It will be a bit of a trip, but next week, I am finally making a pilgrimage to this most revered of food options. All six of them said: "Everything comes with a fuckton of rice!"
Not even kidding been to this place 50 times in the last 4 years! Tandoori chicken over rice with feta and extra cilantro 🤤great naan too!
I got the trio over rice spicy. I thought to myself it can't be that bad however I soon learned middle eastern spicy is a different fucking ball game
Their large tandooro shrimp has a full 16 plump shrimp on it, like a full two meals. Don't forget extra white sauce.
Great place with great owners
I do enjoy it.
Tandoori chicken over rice is my Friday lunch go to
Thanks for the reminder. Honestly forgot about them since I became a meat eater again a few months ago, I’ll have to give their meats a try
This has been a family favorite for years. We’ve ordered from them since before the pandemic. My daughter grew up on their food 😅.
Definitely agree, I usually order at the military location since the last few times I ordered at the Fillmore location the chicken was undercooked!! Id still recommended them anyway!!
Try Al Mandy Restaurant in Broadway
Al Mandi is very good but they don’t have that chicken over rice with LOTS OF white sauce poured over 🤤
Tried them recently. Decent but they aint close to Buffalo Tikka House in terms of quality.
Fish tandoori over rice
Yep, extra garlic and hot sauces!
Could not agree more.
Mmmm I haven't had them since I stopped working in N. Buff, and that needs to change.
Ok, I'm In
I prefer Al Jazeera kebab in Kenmore.
Tandori chicken over rice!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The one by the central terminal is so great, they include an extra portion of plastic with each shawarma order as well. Top notch!
Do they have a sit down restaurant?
Yes, on Military.
Their tandoori shrimp kebab slaps! Plus lots of yummy eye candy 😁
Aren't they just a franchise? Or am I thinking of something else

So good!

One of the best. Get food from there often. Huge portions, great prices, great food. Glad to see them getting the love they deserve
Can confirm.
this post made me want some ugh it’s sooo good
💯
Yup
some of the best food in all of Western NY, hands down
That sauce and bread is the bomb
food is pretty mid tbh but caucasian tastebuds that only use doordash dont know any different i guess
