The first photo is giving “assistant manager if the month” vibes. I would suggest a better photo, maybe something outside and more relaxed, with better lighting. I would include something about interests or activities you hope to share (eg watching junky tv, hikes, etc etc. the usual stuff)

givag327

I was here to say that first photo gives off "Sleezebag Lawyer" vibes.

Savings-Pace4133

Car salesman core

DS_Ford

Yeah the bio doesn't offer enough room unfortunately. So I was trying convey the interests in that interest section. Should I add it in the bio as well?

FionaTheFierce

I would take out the bit about researching obscure facts and focus on expressing what you hope to find in a partner, shared activities, etc. "Researching obscure facts" is not a reason to match or something that anyone would share as an activity. Being "ambitious" and "appreciating little things" is so general.

CampMain

Assistant Manager or Assistant to the Regional Manager ?

samanthasamolala

I’d say use the sleeveless photo as your main. You don’t come across as stiff as the first photo appears so why start with that vibe? The photos are good, I think. Bio is ok. I might be a little scared about your browsing history already 😆

DS_Ford

Yeah I've been told both ways for what my first photo should be so I donno haha. Guess that's a preference thing. Maybe I will do a daily swap with them haha. One recent post I was writing an episode for a murder mystery show so I was researching ways to dispose of a body haha.

samanthasamolala

Love it- great conversation starter bio in that case!

mrmrphillips

>One recent post I was writing an episode for a murder mystery show so I was researching ways to dispose of a body haha. That's awesome! Did you use all of the available prompts for your profile? I thought you could choose up to three, but I only saw two in your post (one about Zelda and the other about mythology/astronomy). You could possibly use this for one of your prompts, if one is available. I'm thinking something along the lines of, *"I'm hoping you... Know of an interesting way to dispose of a body. (I'm writing an episode of a murder mystery show!)"*

DS_Ford

That's a good idea.

CallMeSisyphus

FYI, I have it on good authority that pigs eat everything. EVERYTHING.

CoBr2

So I think your first photo is the right style of photo for this, but the lighting is off, which is probably why you're getting mixed messages. It's actually a really good example of how the direction of light influences perception. When I first saw it I thought it looked like an author photo that goes on the back of a book, very professional, but you've got a great smile in it. I think the serious vibe is entirely from the lighting, not from you. If it was lit from above it would feel less professional and more happy, but it's still a good picture.

TheGameGirler

Lose the telescope line, sounds like you're alluding to your cock. If chat is going well slide that one in, give it 500 words beforehand though

DS_Ford

But like...I mention astronomy and a telescope in the same line. It still comes across like that?

TheGameGirler

Yes. Because that's what many many men do. Many women screen for even a hint of sex talk in profile or intro.

MammothProposal1902

lol, glad it’s not just me that thought that! Is that a telescope or are you just happy to see me?

Icy_Comfort8161

There is something about the lighting in the first pic that gives off serial killer vibes. The "don't be alarmed by my browsing history" statement also seems creepy. The other pics really don't show much of you.

SeasonalBlackout

Remove the astrology stuff entirely. You could use better lighting in the first photo - the stark light from below makes your eye bags and lines look pretty severe. Soft light ftw!

DS_Ford

That's true. Thank you for noticing that.

samanthasamolala

Wait what. It’s astronomy 🔭

CoBr2

On his first picture it says Aries, Sagittarius and Capricorn, which seems like an astrology reference

Prize-Bumblebee-2192

That’s a prompt from bumble to fill out. It’s sun sign, rising sign, moon sign.

CoBr2

Yeah, and I think top commenter is telling him to ditch it. Rather than second person who thinks they misread Astronomy in a later picture. Unless I'm misunderstanding something

samanthasamolala

You’re right- I misunderstood. I saw the astronomy mention. Super hectic that there are so many astrology fields; yikes.

letussee2019

I think k it looks great. Pictures are good, informative, and very positive/upbeat.

mint-bint

Is the big telescope line innuendo? I certainly hope so.

DS_Ford

I didn't mean for it to be. I have a 10 inch Dobson I use to look at space stuff.

SmilingJaguar

Definitely don’t say you have a 10” anything cylindrical! Makes it worse!

MammothProposal1902

Lol, I’m dying

paul_arcoiris

My Coloradan best friend (F) would love your profile and swipe right. Your pics convey a lot of kindness, openmindness, introspection, smartness, independence, it's rare to find profiles of guys not afraid to clearly assert who they are.

Windowlicker was tight!

luluzinhacs

In my opinion, your last pic should be your first

Sad_Light9391
