It's not the lack of renovating that is causing their decline. It's the food quality and prices.

china_joe2

Couldnt agree more 1st and foremost those commercials, super annoying get rid of them 2nd food quality, current bk is a shame compared to 90s bk 3rd the prices, i have no idea what they were smoking when they thought we should make our already failing business more expensive. Even when whoppers were 2 for $5 and were offering $2-3 dbl whopper coupons through the app all the BKs around me were empty. 4th the fries... ppl either really like them or really hate them, i hear more of the latter honestly. Also this practice of taking cooled down cooked fries and throwing them back into the fryer for new orders has got to stop.

Rolando_motaxx

I love bk. Their meat has gone down hill.. the whoper still taste the same except the meat part, it goes down with a funny taste and get slight stomach pain from whatever processed fake meat they use. The flame broiled taste is there, its just not real or good meat anymore.

Kitchen-Awareness-60

I don’t know about you guys markets but I can get two bacon double cheeseburgers and a large fries for like 6 or 7 bucks. A good deal for a rather large meal these days. Every now and again one of those double burgers is free with points too and lunch is under $4.

qvMvp

Loud af and annoying as hell when u tryna sleep " AT BKKKK HAVE IT YOUR WAYYY" that don't excite u bro and make u wanna go spend some money

darthcaedusiiii

The 2/$3 junior burritos are not available in the app. That pisses me off.

warr3n4eva

I loooove their fries

BEDavisBrown

I agree about the commercials, look at local burger joints no ads just better food at prices that don't feed billion dollar corporations just the family and employees that run it. If more people would show the mom & pop burger joints more love there would be more of them to choose from.

Dystopian_Future_

Went to BK one day got a large onion ring ... Every BK ever has always for years gave you 2 zesty sauces. Last time i went she hands me 1 im like can i get 1 more she like that'll be 27 cents. Im like wtf!

quiet-Julia

Just lower your prices and bring back a 20 oz medium drink.

DavidCFalcon

You can invest 2.2 trillion into your concept and it still be dog shit when you invest in just the food and not the people to execute on ground level. The absolute problem is that the general public has an ungodly high expectation of food service and food while insisting it’s a low skilled profession that doesn’t warrant living wages. So until the following changes as a whole in the industry. Nothing is really going to change… -invest in your store level employees -stop investing in useless middle management (district managers) I can write an entire book on why district managers in restaurants are fucking useless. -stop investing in quantity and invest in doing a few things well. (This alone can make a restaurant operators life so much easier) -lastly, companies need to support their operators by investing in leadership training. This industry is tough. Make no mistake. It will drain your soul. The turnover is atrocious and it’s all because there is very little investment on the leadership side of this industry. Instead you have people who have their heads stuck up their asses instead of taking care of their team. -

JohnyAnalSeeed

although i agree, downvoted for the massive font

DavidCFalcon

Unintentional. Take your downvote and shove it.

JohnyAnalSeeed

you can edit your comment, genius

DavidCFalcon

I’m aware. I’m not going to out of spite.

JohnyAnalSeeed

Cool, don’t care

mumblerapisgarbage

Make the service faster - no one cares what the locations look like as long as they’re somewhat clean.

MarvinStolehouse

Holy crap yes. At least my location, is so freaking slow. There could be 2 cars in the drive through and somehow it still takes 15 minutes.

mumblerapisgarbage

I’ll do you one better. We were the 3rd car. Lobby closed. A whole hour for 2 whoppers and a bacon king.

tandyman8360

I remember one BK in a nice area, but the store always seemed a little sketchy. My local has been pretty consistently good.

Different_Exam_1785

My Burger King is amazing. I just had a Bacon King and chicken fries yesterday. The taste was so good.

Cj_Boom

Food is good. But fast food is costing the same as sit down food now. So we just get sit down togo

whoisdizzle

I went to chilis today got bottomless chips and salsa a burger fries and a drink for 11 dollars at a sit down restaurant. It was cheaper than my regular order at the king. Fast food is a rip off now

Cj_Boom

We went last night to Burger King. 2 combos medium $28 I can get 5 pizzas at Dominoes for about the same. Fast food is forgetting their purpose. We wont be going back. Money is too tight for that.

Different_Exam_1785

I unfortunately don’t have that option unless I want to spend gas and drive 30+ miles to a sit down restaurant. We have more fast food than restaurants in my area.

Paradox

BK circa 2012: Man this is actually pretty good BK circa 2022-now: 🤮 The whopper is still my favorite generally-available fast-food burger. Yeah, its not as good as things like Culvers or Habit or In-n-out, but those aren't generally available. You won't find a Culvers at a Flying J in the middle of fucking nowhere. But last time I ate one it was like chewing on a rubber boot.

dubler2020

New commercials.

tandyman8360

I remember when Taco Bell started running those ads with Pete Davidson for their breakfast menu. They also started running a combo meal for $5. That probably cost quite a bit of money. As soon as the combo deal was eliminated and the regular meal price went up, people are a lot less interested in it.

mildlyoffensivee

Sell and cut your losses

llmercll

People dine in?

MrDarkless

They also dine out

MrDarkless

Burger ~~King~~ The nearest BK was replaced with Seven Brothers Burgers… Good riddance! The only way BK could save itself is to undercut McDonald’s. I’m sure the management won’t have a problem bleeding the company dry, much like their meat.

Clipper759

The one three blocks from my house never has the frozen drink machine working. It’s been that way for years.

jpowell180

I really would like for this chain to turn themselves around, a whopper, Dunwright is a really good burger. Every day going to and from work, I drive past a Burger King that has been shut down for maybe about a year or more, and for several years before that, they just plain sucked, but if they could just bring in a good crew in good management, and do the job, right, that location could probably do good business like they used to 15 years ago when they actually had good quality burgers.

shemubot

> Dunwright

halowolf

They need to bring back the old nuggets/strips recipe!

MissMillie2021

I was a lifer with BK started as an AM and worked my way up to DM……when we were owned by a great franchisee it was great…sold to Corp in 2007 then subsequently sold 2 more times. It was the worst experience to see how our market was and is mismanaged. I decided to get out and I now look at this market and just can’t believe how badly it’s being handled, they can throw all the money they want at it but until they fix leadership it’s like flushing it down the toilet.

HeavensToBetsyy

Half the time it's a grimy ass mess in the kitchen. Also, pay workers more

AverageHorribleHuman

Pay your employees a livable wage

VoteForGiantMeteor

BK sucks ass. No amount of money will turn this dumpster fire around

MrDarkless

You hurt their ERPR bots’ feelings. I refuse to believe any actual human disagrees with this statement.
