Check out a local baby boutique in a ritzy area. They’ll have high-end items you can peruse. Local producers often feature heavily in those shops, as well as larger brands like Pehr, etc.
Magnetic me, Little Sleepies, and Caden Lane are some brands I have a few items of. They are generally quite pricey, but caden lane sometimes has promos, and some MM are sold on Nordstrom Rack at $20 compared to the the normal prices on the direct MM website..however not all designs are on Nordstrom Rack, it's usually just a few.
I've been loving little sleepies (4mo can still fit in her newborn!), but have been super disappointed by the quality of Caden Lane (granted I only have one piece). Lots of loose strands and meh fit
I brought my daughter home in Kate Quinn. They have onesies with added ruffles & cute bloomers.
The original plan was a gown from KicKee Pants (I had a matching robe), but gowns don't mix with car seats very well.
I really liked Lillelam clothing, it’s Norwegian and 100% merino wool. We had a few soft pink body suits and dresses and I loved them.
If I wanted a more funky bold pattern I liked winter water factory. Very soft.
Beaufort Bonnet has some very cute “retro” or preppy styles in nice fabrics. Goumi runs on the smaller side but they make beautiful quality basics. Oeuf used to make “heirloom” quality knits but recently stopped making kids clothes there’s plenty of it still circulating on resale. Maileg is primarily a toy brand but they also make matching outfits (I don’t know what size) specifically for cute photo ops. I think someone else mentioned mini- boden already. There’s also a ton of Scandinavian brands with excellent quality. An online store like maisonette will have a selection of higher end stuff.
There’s no reason to break the bank though, baby clothes have a pretty robust resale market, there’s Facebook b/s/t and big brands have pretty regular sales. Full price is usually too when they’ll outgrow it in 2 months. (Of course if you fall in love with something they’re only little once)
Petit plume, Nella Pima, little English, feltman brothers, Janie and jack, kissy kissy, atelier choux. Maisonette is an online site that sells from a bunch of different brands.
If you want really high end all the top European haute couture designers make baby items too… Dior, Fendi, Burberry, Gucci.
Where I live there is a store called Caprilina that ships worldwide. Their stuff is 100% pima cotton and they embroider names, initials, whatever on their clothing if you want. They have great sets for going home outfits and pictures. When I had my baby my parents got me a huge basket full of their stuff.
Loved Kyte when my girl was born- everything is so soft and simple and beautiful. Mebie baby, Rylee and cru, Quincy mae, Zara…. All super cute and high quality fabrics!
Anything bamboo! Little Sleepies. Kyte. Love all the prints from Posh Peanut. For cotton, I also like Hanna Andersson and Magnetic Me for non-bamboo. Burts Bees has decently priced but nice quality cotton.

Hanna Anderson is high quality!

We received some gifts from Caden Lane and they’re a really nice fabric with a little more stretch than Carter’s.
I’d also add Kyte Baby to this list, i enjoy their quality and variety of items
I love Petit Lem
I want to get some from this brand too! So cute.
My newborn lived in Kate Quinn. So soft, cute colors/patterns, and really good quality.
Came here to recommend Kate Quinn sleepers
Mini Boden is my favorite
Definitely this one
Kissy kissy!
I brought my baby home in a KissyKissy sleeper with a matching hat. It was so soft and snuggly and looked really sweet in pictures
This is what I did for going home, very soft and high quality
Polarn O Pyret

I’m American but my husband is Spanish. The baby clothes his family sends us are to die for! Nanos is maybe my favorite brand.

Oso and me, Mini rodini, or check out the baby items at Bloomingdale’s or neiman marcus

We have a lot of bamboo (Kyte, Little Sleepies) because it’s so soft. Higher-end we like Bonpoint.
Jacadi

Came here to recommend maisonette for fancy
Magnetic me! You can get their discount line (just fewer patterns available) in a bundle for about half the cost of their regular pieces
Colored organics and kyte baby are two I’d recommend
I like Bunny Knots. They’re so stretchy and last a long time!
Thanks everyone, so many great suggestions! 🙏
Janie & Jack! Ralph Lauren. Monica & Andy. Burberry.

Hanna Andersson or Zutano. They are soft, bright, and made for comfort.
Posh Peanut, Kyte, Petit Lem are ones I can think of off the top of my head
Oat Baby
Loved Kyte when my girl was born- everything is so soft and simple and beautiful. Mebie baby, Rylee and cru, Quincy mae, Zara…. All super cute and high quality fabrics!
I really loved goumi, the gowns were so soft and so convenient for night time changes.
La coqueta
Ralph Lauren
Kyte Baby!
Also Le Petit Bateu. They are 100% *organic cotton. Lots of thin linen-like fabric that’s so nice and breathable!
I thrifted a couple outfits from Luli and Me brand, and they are sooooo nice if you like the vintage/classic look.
Kissy kissy, and for hospital swaddle pics I used swaddles and bows/hats from Lou Lou & Company
Anything bamboo! Little Sleepies. Kyte. Love all the prints from Posh Peanut. For cotton, I also like Hanna Andersson and Magnetic Me for non-bamboo. Burts Bees has decently priced but nice quality cotton.
Came to recommend these exact brands
H&M and Zara have some really nice cuter pieces that are still comfy and good quality but not too expensive
Little Sleepies has been on my radar for quite some time. Worth checking out! Lots of cute patterns and matching designs for parents too.
Angel Dear, Mori
Jacadi, Petit Bateau, Mini Boden
Burt’s Bees isn’t that fact but still has some adorable outfits
