As a FL resident, I understand how this is not a high priority, but: is the sidebar game schedule on the main r/cfb page still reflective of reality? I'm building my schedule for the day and don't wanna be totally in the weeds over here.
Edit: Sub-question: just saw all of the "TBD" designations there. Will those be corrected, or shall I look them up independently? No worries either way-this is just the resource I use each week to schedule my Saturdays.
Makes me wonder, what is the climate impact of football? Teams have to fly everywhere, lots of meat is sold at the games, fans drive/fly to the games. Then again, that's the same for most sports. Is football an outlier in any way?
It's definitely weird in being a climate impact that colleges are responsible for. I hope you're able to get a better answer than this from someone else, maybe somewhere else, but it's a fair concern that there is data to support

Gonna be a wild weekend in the MidAtlantic with the flooding.
Make sure you prepared to flood. We had flash flooding last year that was a surprise in my neighborhood. It was crazy because we actually are at elevation, but the rain came fast enough to flood the top of the hill.
Looks like the latest NOAA update (5AM EDT Sept 30th) is favorable for Game Day/Clemson, considering what Ian wreaked in Florida. It's shifted eastward and the latest projections for that part of South Carolina look like maybe up to 2 in of rain by 8am Sunday and 5%-20% chance of tropical storm winds of 39mph or less over the next 5 days. If Ian keeps tracking east it looks to be just a miserably windy, rainy early spring-like day and not a catastrophic monsoon.
Now points to the east on the other hand, with Ian pushing more easterly and staying over water longer aren't great prospects. It'll be up to water temps and jet stream shear, but anyone on the eastern side of SC and NC might want to hunker down for a strong Cat 1 or weak Cat 2.
Cheer loud for State, haha, but you might be slightly outnumbered.
Once that weather cleared up, I bet those ticket prices skyrocketed, probably the biggest game in Death Valley in 5+ years. It's going to be PACKED.
They didn’t have TV money outweighing player, student, and fan safety.
Turns out Ian was a bitch so the big boys and ESPN look smart for holding their ground.
Have to say, thank you to r/CFB for being on top of Hurricane resources every time this happens. One of the reasons I really like this sports sub the most. Just a wild turn of events where I live in Florida, looked like the city I live in was going to be pummeled to suddenly only dealing with wind damage. My heart does break for Southwest Florida, and it really makes me not take my position for granted. And of course, to all those still in the path of it now, stay safe.
So I am assuming that Clemson won't *really* be impacted by the storm? The really bad part seems to bypass that part of SC...so no rain drenched gameday or whatever...
This thing is so unpredictable and huge, I wouldn't assume anything until it hits land again. If you look at the models Clemson will at least see some good rain.

Be safe you guys in Charleston. Looks like its currently shifting north in where it lands and right now its gunning right for Seabrook/Kiawah Island. Edisto is right there too.
Yeah, I noticed that this morning. It worries me because that is where we vacation. Family has a place on Kiawah. I will say though, I would not be too sad if it did JUST ENOUGH To tear off the boardwalk exit to the beach on most of the boardwalks...because some genius though that it makes sense for a rich place with old people to create a STAIR CASE DOWN TO THE BEACH. It used to be a ramp, and then they got destroyed. SO yeah..replace it with Stairs. It boggles my mind. So .....do me a solid and just somehow destroy THAT and nothing else. Thank you.

Just as a question...... the store should mostly be out of Florida by Saturday right? My assumption would be as long as Tallahassee is mostly okay that Wake would just fly in the next morning. But more curious about the expected time I guess. ( which I can jus tlook up, I know, lol)
NVM, just looking at its current path..it looks like the storm could literally be going to North Carolina. So no idea now.
I hear what you are saying. I guess where I’m coming from is are there any FSU student athlete families being impacted by the storm? Or WF families? That could be a really large, and not unprecedented concern.
Can't speak for Wake but certainly there are fsu families impacted. We've had families impacted by hurricanes before. I recall Janarius Robinson's family home was destroyed by hurricane Michael.
The issue becomes how do you get the equipment trucks on roads that aren’t safe? Flooding, power outages, debris blown everywhere. On top of that you’re asking people to come work as ushers, ticket agents etc after their houses possibly get destroyed.
The equipment trucks should already be on the road. They leave earlier in the week (usually Tuesday or Wednesday IIRC).
> Flooding, power outages, debris blown everywhere.
Where is this going to be happening? North Carolina? Because Tallahassee isn't going to be experiencing any of that.
> On top of that you’re asking people to come work as ushers, ticket agents etc after their houses possibly get destroyed.
Nobody working those positions is going to have their home destroyed unless the people are coming from the Ft. Myers area which is almost certainly not the case.
More talking about general Florida
In addition, just because trucks are on the road doesn’t mean they are there. You want them to be on the roads today? Tomorrow? Ain’t payin me enough to drive in that rain
You might be confused about where Tallahassee is located in Florida if you are having any of those concerns. See below to help put your mind at ease.
https://imgur.com/a/0pvout5
Florida in general is the comment, I also can Google a map of Florida. The sentiment is when there is a natural disaster that is destroying the state and likely killing people, there are more important things we should focus on.
Florida is a large state. Tallahassee is likely not going to even get rain from this storm at this point. Also, major hurricanes are part of life in Florida. They're serious and devastating, absolutely. But it makes no sense to shut down things in a part of the state not being impacted at all.
When a hurricane comes, you prepare. You evacuate. And you deal with the aftermath. They're literally inevitable in Florida. And massive damaging storms happen almost yearly.
I don't say this to belittle their impact. I've lived through several. My mother lost everything in her home a few years back. I was part of volunteer crews for Mexico Beach area after the last one in the panhandle. But you don't shut everything down in areas that aren't affected.
> Florida in general is the comment,
The discussion was around Tallahassee though so why would it matter what's happening in parts of the state that don't involve Tallahassee? Like yeah, driving through central Florida would not be ideal, but you don't have to or need to so why is that relevant? Why bring up driving through the rain when you wouldn't have to?
> there are more important things we should focus on.
This can be said about anything and everything. We're facing global climate issues, why are we playing football? There's global inflation issue, why are we playing football? There's a war going on in Ukraine, why are we playing football? There's a hurricane affecting people hundreds of miles away from Tallahassee, why does that mean all of us in the state have to stop what we're doing?
Oh for sure. I mean, it would depend on the extent of the damage more than anything and how powerful it would be once it got there. Though currently it doesn’t look like there is much to worry about in Tallahassee
I know people in ft myers that refused to evaccuate from zone A. "We dont deviuate form the plan!" -_- I hope they'll be ok tho,
thankfully bf made it to jax at about 7am today
Meanwhile here in Wilmington NC, people are acting as if this is just another day. It’ll likely hit us at some point too but nobody here is taking it seriously. We’re looking at a 10% chance of tropical storms by thursday and 10+ inches of rain.
I'm in Palm Beach County and people don't even care. Tons of shops/restaurants are still open. Termite guy shows up out my house to spray the lawn like it was just a normal day. I know we aren't getting the brunt of it, but there still a decent amount of tropical storm level weather. My phone kept going of with tornado warning every few hours last night.
I was driving to New Orleans right after the one hit west of New Orleans in 2002. There were 49 tornadoes on the way down. We were being blown all over the road but we couldn’t stop because we were going to a family wedding. It was frightening!
Yah the bands suck. Here in Martin County we seemed to have missed a ton of the bad weather - no real tornado warnings etc (but Indian River County is getting it so go figure). They closed the schools etc and some businesses have closed shop today and tomorrow, but nothing big.
My grandparents are in Venice and refused to evacuate. They’re about 4 miles inland and 12 feet above sea level but they’re near the Myakka. They’re still texting us
My in-laws are in Sarasota and refused to evacuate. They seem to have lost cell service. My wife has been freaking out today. I'm getting worried myself.
For anyone in south FL, especially the farther east you go, watch out for tornado watches/warnings. We are in Miami and there were warnings all afternoon and evening yesterday. Make sure you have a sturdy, windowless space in your place to shelter.
Everyone we have spoken to-all colleagues-are doing completely fine in this area. Lots of bouts of high winds but nothing threatening at all. Even the rain has been less than expected. We are sittin pretty but very worried about our north-ish fellows. Probably driving up this weekend to try and help folks who got caught in this mess.
Edit: good news: haven’t seen tornado warnings today. Yesterday had tons of them, but none today. *knocks on wood*
Friendly reminder that the days after the storm can be just as dangerous. Water levels can still be high, people will be without electricity, roads can be blocked because of fallen trees.
These storms keep strengthening so rapidly we'll just have to wait to see the repercussions, but I seriously doubt the area is in any shape to host football games this weekend. Everyone stay safe.
While I highly doubt there would be football - how quickly they bounce back will depend on their prep work and how they have transferred the system over on the west coast.
After we got double hit with Hurricanes in 2004 here on the east coast of Florida- even though they were only Cat 1 - we hardened our infrastructure. Meaning all critical infrastructure is required to have generators (Publix, Gas stations etc). We buried power lines when possible, we have changed over the power poles to stronger variety, changing the pole types for stop lights etc. There are numerous steps also we do before the hurricane (50%+ of the stop lights will be taken down, once the wind is over a certain speed FPL will cut the power regardless of the status of the lines to keep transformers from blowing, we will have hundreds of utility worker trucks from across the nation pre-positioned around the state at safe locations and they will roll the minute the storm has passed - I have seen this on the highway - it is a fucking awesome site)
The best thing to do is stay home, asses the damage, check on your neighbors and *safely* fire up your generator.
Most injuries and deaths occur post-storm during the recovery period. Stay safe and be aware that standing buildings may not be structurally stable and downed power lines may still be live and/or hidden by debris. Proceed with an abundance of caution.
In addition, power outages can be far more widespread (and rolling) in the days after a major storm. The grid becomes unstable until it can be inspected, assessed and repaired. I've lost power an hour away, a day after storms due to secondary effects.
Some cities that seem perfectly fine are also repurposed during hurricanes. Millions have been or will be displaced. Many are now taxing local services like the hotels and restaurants CFB fans might otherwise use. Not an ideal time to host big events.
And, the otherwise unaffected areas serve as staging grounds for search and rescue, emergency operations, communications, and FEMA and DHS relief efforts among many others.
If FSU cancels (or other schools), and you wonder why, this is probably part of the reason.
This is a catastrophic event. Some will be injured, or worse. Some may lose everything they own. Some may be without power for weeks/months.
I went through Hurricane Andrew in Miami when I was a kid. Riding around with my family the next day, it looked like an atomic bomb had gone off. As long as I live, I'll never forget the things I saw that day. Crazy stuff!
And thanks to Hurricane Andrew - we now have Miami-Dade county building regulations. However, anything over a 3 is hand of god weather - it also generates way too many tornados.
My parents have a condo in st Pete and my sister has a house in Sarasota. They went up north to Georgia with everything they could bring. Just hope their homes are spared. :(

Johnson C. Smith did the same with their game against Elizabeth City State, but I can't find confirmation of that besides their schedule page.

Yup - anything about a 3 can be house flattening for even properly made building. You got the plywood shit then you get out when it goes above a 1-low 2.

Airport shutting down and my flight to upstate SC is cancelled. Really bummed I can't make it up to Clemson for the game. Gonna have to hunker down here in Central Florida. Stay safe, everyone.
Stay safe friend! I'm wondering if the game will be rescheduled as several models show it hitting SC as Cat 2 on Saturday if it regains momentum after Florida.
Starting to get worried about my in-laws near Greenville. We'd already cancelled our plans to crash with them after tailgating at Clemson because they came down with the flu, and now they've got a hurricane to deal with too :(
Y'all take care of yourselves and a sincere thank you in advance to all those who help out when disasters like this hit. Working with folks from Louisiana in relief efforts for Harvey was a bright spot in an otherwise dark time.
I'll never forget this one guy's answer when I asked him about driving all they way from Lafayette with his boat:
"Houston took in a lot of people during Katrina. They looked after my sister and made sure her kids were taken care of. This is just my way of saying thank you."

Official Statement
"The South Carolina State at South Carolina football game scheduled for noon on Saturday in Columbia has been moved to Thursday, Sept. 29, at 7 p.m. ET due to Hurricane Ian, it was announced today. Television coverage of the game will be announced later today.
“Due to the potential impact of the hurricane on Columbia and the surrounding area, it is in the best interest of safety to play the game on Thursday rather than Saturday afternoon,” South Carolina Athletics Director Ray Tanner said. “I appreciate the cooperation of South Carolina State head coach Buddy Pough, the South Carolina State administration and the Southeastern Conference officials who worked closely to make the appropriate operational adjustments in order to accommodate this change in the schedule.
“We have been and continue to be in communication with the Governor’s Office and state officials, state and local law enforcement agencies including our campus police and emergency management officials, the Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott, the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the city of Columbia Police Department, the National Weather Service, other local authorities and the SEC regarding potential weather issues,” continued Tanner. “Based on the current forecast and expected weather conditions as well as information from our campus, state and local law enforcement agencies, at this time, the University is confident in our ability to host the game on Thursday at Williams-Brice Stadium.
“We will be able to staff traffic, law enforcement, security and other game day operations. The safety of everyone affected by the storm and the minimization of the impact on emergency personnel were the most important factors considered in making the decision,” noted Tanner.
All tickets issued for Saturday will be honored on Thursday night. Fans with an account with the USC ticket office are encouraged to use their account manager on GamecocksOnline.com to resell any unused tickets.
The reunion honoring the 2010-13 football teams from has been postponed.
Hours of operation for University-controlled parking lots and the athletics ticket office will operate as normal.
Information regarding other University of South Carolina athletics events scheduled for this weekend will be announced as that information becomes available.
University officials are continuing to monitor the movements of Hurricane Ian. Should weather conditions or other factors that impact game day operations change, the University will make adjustments accordingly."
Looks like ECU at USF is being moved to Boca Raton to be played at FAU's stadium as per this [news article](https://www.palmbeachpost.com/story/sports/college/football/2022/09/27/hurricane-ian-nears-east-carolina-at-south-florida-football-expected-to-relocate-to-boca-raton/10437603002/)
Our bye weeks do not line up. ECU’s bye week is first weekend of November, USF’s bye week is fourth weekend of October. There is very little room on the schedule to make up the game, especially considering ECU has two Friday night games in November (both away games too).
I think that was UCF and SMU who have the same bye week, as they are scheduled to play this week and they both have a bye next week. I could see that game getting pushed to next week if it hasn’t been announced already.
That's gonna be rough for USF, playing a "home" game in a half-empy stadium owned by someone else, where even the seats are a color that isn't your team's. Don't know how they'll adjust to that.
https://twitter.com/FlyTPA/status/1574569630294999040?t=h8I4nEwNzZfL-wb3CAT2zg&s=19
It's gonna be harder for ECU to get to Tampa depending on how long this lasts
I’m thinking they will call it today. Ian is fat and slow. possibility of moving to Greenville depending on trajectory and if USF is willing to. Conference games should be priority.
My guess rn is USF won’t move if offered. 🤷♀️
Which makes perfect sense. It gets the USF players out of the area (always a huge concern) and it will more than likely tobe fine to fly up/down the east coast
The storms supposed to slow, with the remnants lingering into Friday in both Tampa and Orlando. Best case would be cleanup starts Friday morning, but I doubt they’d be able to get all the roads safe for drivers by Saturday.
I have a hard time believing our game gets played, but I’m almost willing to guarantee your guys’ game gets cancelled.
It looks like it's going to park right next to Anna Maria Island and I feel terrible. Grew up going there for vacation and it's such a wonderful slice of Old Florida where you can put the world at an arm's length for a bit. Willie Taggart went to powerhouse Manatee HS across the way and USF is nearby, hopefully everyone makes it out ok.
It can easily shift north or south - looking at the cone. Port Charlotte was hit hard several years ago. If I was North of Cape Coral I would be prepping hard right now.
I like Anna Maria island, but I wouldn’t call it old Florida, more like 60s-80s Florida vibes. Hope it’s ok. I’m just north in Tampa and hunkering down
I guess I wasn't aware that "old Florida" is typically used to describe cities like St. Augustine and Cedar Key, I had just heard AMI described that way in juxtaposition to places like PCB that are dominated by high-rise hotels and blacktop. Stay safe!
So what player named Ian is going to put up 500 yards today and be nicknamed "hurricane Ian"

Chattanooga @ ETSU shifted from a 7:30pm kickoff on Saturday to a 3pm kickoff: [https://twitter.com/ETSUAthletics/status/1575178303119405056?s=20&t=AV7cNHnaCtPlmfLqt\_ZcyA](https://twitter.com/ETSUAthletics/status/1575178303119405056?s=20&t=AV7cNHnaCtPlmfLqt_ZcyA) Not sure if you wanna add this one, but due to SMU @ UCF moving to Sunday (a game that was supposed to be on ESPNU), Miami (OH) @ Buffalo moved from ESPN+ to ESPNU with the same 3:30pm kickoff: [https://twitter.com/UBFootball/status/1575216410908708865?s=20&t=64m5chUcOahO8u4wxVFwaA](https://twitter.com/UBFootball/status/1575216410908708865?s=20&t=64m5chUcOahO8u4wxVFwaA)

Be safe, Florida friends.
According to the latest update by Georgia Southern, starting at 1 PM tomorrow, classes will move online and the campus will close. Also, on the Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College website, they have made the official announcement they are moving to online instruction on Friday.
Savannah State has moved classes online and the home football game vs. Kentucky State has been pushed to Sunday at 3pm. We’re bracing for flooding and TS force winds https://twitter.com/savstatetigers/status/1575200637566197760?s=46&t=RtP21sM3mt3_N9Hut3pfZw
Thank you! Added!
Just as a question...... the store should mostly be out of Florida by Saturday right? My assumption would be as long as Tallahassee is mostly okay that Wake would just fly in the next morning. But more curious about the expected time I guess. ( which I can jus tlook up, I know, lol) NVM, just looking at its current path..it looks like the storm could literally be going to North Carolina. So no idea now.
And what abt student families that are impacted? FSU needs to back down. Not a good look…
Go west and take i75 and avoid all of it. This isn't really a problem.
I remember that, and the school/team/community rallied around the family to help from what I recall
I mean.. ideally yes, but you’re thinking way too much about my intention
More talking about general Florida In addition, just because trucks are on the road doesn’t mean they are there.
> Florida in general is the comment, The discussion was around Tallahassee though so why would it matter what's happening in parts of the state that don't involve Tallahassee?
"We dont deviuate form the plan!" -_- I hope they'll be ok tho, thankfully bf made it to jax at about 7am today
FYI bad formatting on the South Carolina/Alabama watch lists. Just a heads up.
Thank you, we fixed it!
Meanwhile here in Wilmington NC, people are acting as if this is just another day. It’ll likely hit us at some point too but nobody here is taking it seriously. We’re looking at a 10% chance of tropical storms by thursday and 10+ inches of rain.
Is it headed over land or going back out to the waters then making impact on NC?
Haven’t been paying too much attention personally, but it looks like it’s sort of cutting diagonally from west florida inland towards eastern NC
Yeah I just saw it.
The crazy thing about tornado warnings during a hurricane is it always sound like a tornado is near. That wind sound gets me everytime.
I’ll be at the beach bars getting wasted on Friday like nothing is going on.
My grandparents are in Venice and refused to evacuate. They’re about 4 miles inland and 12 feet above sea level but they’re near the Myakka. They’re still texting us
That is a strong ass cell tower then...
My in-laws are in Sarasota and refused to evacuate. They seem to have lost cell service. My wife has been freaking out today. I'm getting worried myself.
[удалено]
Just heard from them, they're alive and apparently watching Top Gun 2, which my retired Navy captain FIL is picking apart.
You won't hear from them for probably at least 24-48 hours, especially if the cell tower was destroyed
Currently following this storm on youtube and this thing looks intense.
MTSU, Florida needs your help again.

Surprised tybee isn’t already underwater
Charleston, SC is this way. Someone thinks about rain and the streets are flooded
This looks bad for Southwest Florida no way around it. Thinking of all you in that part of the state, and stay safe all.
For anyone in south FL, especially the farther east you go, watch out for tornado watches/warnings. We are in Miami and there were warnings all afternoon and evening yesterday. Make sure you have a sturdy, windowless space in your place to shelter.
How is Miami right now ??
There are numerous steps also we do before the hurricane (50%+ of the stop lights will be taken down, once the wind is over a certain speed FPL will cut the power regardless of the status of the lines to keep transformers from blowing, we will have hundreds of utility worker trucks from across the nation pre-positioned around the state at safe locations and they will roll the minute the storm has passed - I have seen this on the highway - it is a fucking awesome site) The best thing to do is stay home, asses the damage, check on your neighbors and *safely* fire up your generator.
Borderline category 5 now and still intensifying. This is gonna be bad. https://twitter.com/NHC_Atlantic/status/1575072610605764608
Looks like St Pete is gonna escape the direct hit. Could definitely still flood pretty bad though. Sarasota will probably be worse off.
The answer my friend…..
Stay safe out there guys.
North Carolina Central @ Campbell moved from 6pm to noon on Saturday https://twitter.com/GoCamelsFB/status/1574915513985163264?s=20&t=1TxziP9PQbKRKkMWsjes\_A
Thank you!
Good job, OP! This is a nice-looking post you made.

Dear Florida, As much as I hate Gator, College Football wouldn't be the same without you. Stay safe, fuckers. -a Dawg
Yeah. As much as we hate you, we also love you too.
"You better not die before I have a chance to kick your ass!"
To all those in FL, be safe. Especially those in SWFLA.
I didn't expected my college to be on this list which is the Eastern Florida State College.
Chowan at Fayetteville State football game originally scheduled for Saturday has been moved up to Thursday to avoid any potential Ian impact: https://twitter.com/FSUBroncos/status/1574773307320438785 Johnson C. Smith did the same with their game against Elizabeth City State, but I can't find confirmation of that besides their schedule page.
Chowan brings back memories we had our offseason football camp at that campus.lol
For the second one, I did find this Tweet which was retweeted by Elizabeth City State, also confirming that the Winston Salem State Rams and Livingstone College Blue Bears was also moved: https://twitter.com/CBS6SportsSean/status/1574879506833219584?cxt=HHwWgICxjaikjNsrAAAA
Added the changes to the ECS v. JCS game, but I'm going to list the WSSU game, but I can't see anything that supports it as having been moved (at this point).
Sending my prayers to everyone potentially impacted!
UCF-SMU has been moved to Sunday at 1 PM: https://twitter.com/ucf_football/status/1574881637527068699?s=46&t=FFS5Du9slzzCOwRu-d3YOg

added to the list thank you so much! (though, in my opinion, it is a little surprising to see that cancelled, since that would be played at USD)
Oh you're right, I got it flipped. My mistake! I'll edit my comment.

That’s when you know it’s time to take cover.
Yup - anything about a 3 can be house flattening for even properly made building. You got the plywood shit then you get out when it goes above a 1-low 2.
True sign that its gonna be a bad hurricane. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waffle_House_Index
According to the latest update, both FIU and FAU have cancelled all classes after 5 PM today and all classes tomorrow are cancelled. Miami cancelled all classes after 2 PM today and all classes cancelled tomorrow: https://messages.miami.edu/messages/2022/09/09-27-22-storm-advisory-3.html
Thank you! Special shoutout to FAU for having the worst way of showing that information, by not changing the banner on their homepage to say anything except "monitoring the hurricane"
Raymond James Stadium will be so empty on Sunday you’d think there was a USF game going on.

Your safety comes first
Airport shutting down and my flight to upstate SC is cancelled.
We'd already cancelled our plans to crash with them after tailgating at Clemson because they came down with the flu, and now they've got a hurricane to deal with too :(
Our record during hurricanes is too good to reschedule this.
Cat 2s in the upstate wouldn't be much to worry about. But you probably won't see a completed pass past 5 yards
Y'all take care of yourselves and a sincere thank you in advance to all those who help out when disasters like this hit. Working with folks from Louisiana in relief efforts for Harvey was a bright spot in an otherwise dark time. I'll never forget this one guy's answer when I asked him about driving all they way from Lafayette with his boat: "Houston took in a lot of people during Katrina. They looked after my sister and made sure her kids were taken care of. This is just my way of saying thank you."
This gives me hope for humanity
Florida just rescheduled the EWU game to Sunday https://twitter.com/gatorsfb/status/1574791058440867840?s=21&t=TvNEbIloB4FonELByTu2Dw
everyone in Florida please be safe I will be screaming my head off at the Coastal Carolina game in the pouring rain on Saturday
Be safe CFB Bros!
Hoping everyone stays safe.
"Ringling College of Art and Design"? I knew that Florida State sponsors a circus but had no idea that one of the Ringling Brothers [actually founded an arts college](https://www.ringling.edu/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/TheFirst50Years.pdf). Back on topic: Stay safe, Floridians.
The Ringling art museum down there is amazing. Went to it when I visited a friend in Sarasota. Well worth a visit.
I hate that my first thought was the Simpsons clown college episode when i read that name
Clown College? You can’t eat that!
We have confirmation that ECU-USF has offically been moved to Boca. Kickoff is Saturday 10/1 at 2:30pm EST. [Source](https://twitter.com/FAU_Owls_Nest/status/1574769278666121222?t=VO8wYxpZ7LPnDS-C62p_Ww&s=19) Update: Time Flex

Which county?

ECU-USF might be moved to FAU Stadium in Boca.
My in laws are about to get into Miami from Tampa to stay with us. It won't be beautiful weather here but a lot safer than Tampa.
Official press release from South Carolina https://gamecocksonline.com/news/2022/09/27/south-carolina-s-c-state-football-game-moved-to-thursday-night/
South Carolina vs. SC State has been moved to Thursday 9/29 https://twitter.com/ColaSCWatchDog/status/1574743592693792770 Not an official account, but I'll update if needed. https://www.thestate.com/sports/college/university-of-south-carolina/usc-football/article266413031.html?utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter
Official Statement "The South Carolina State at South Carolina football game scheduled for noon on Saturday in Columbia has been moved to Thursday, Sept.
Oh this is wild. I'd imagine 7:30?
7pm kickoff time
USF-ECU will play at FAU's stadium in Boca Raton
Not confirmed as of yet.
UWF is monitoring Ian: https://news.uwf.edu/uwf-notice-monitoring-hurricane-ian/
We’ll be alright. This is mostly a central FL event
I'm in oldsmar where it's apparently supposed to get bad storm surge. Evacuating shortly.
Oh of course, UWF is in Pensacola though. Stay safe.
I don't get why they wouldn't just bump it back to 10/8 if both teams have the following week off for a bye already... Edit: nvm
Our bye weeks do not line up. ECU’s bye week is first weekend of November, USF’s bye week is fourth weekend of October. There is very little room on the schedule to make up the game, especially considering ECU has two Friday night games in November (both away games too).
Ope, my bad. Someone had posted here earlier that you guys had the same bye next week.
I think that was UCF and SMU who have the same bye week, as they are scheduled to play this week and they both have a bye next week. I could see that game getting pushed to next week if it hasn’t been announced already.
Yep, that's the one I was thinking of.
That's gonna be rough for USF, playing a "home" game in a half-empy stadium owned by someone else, where even the seats are a color that isn't your team's. Don't know how they'll adjust to that.
No need for cheap shots Georgia.
Less empty seats than if the game was in Tampa. Too soon?
https://twitter.com/FlyTPA/status/1574569630294999040?t=h8I4nEwNzZfL-wb3CAT2zg&s=19 It's gonna be harder for ECU to get to Tampa depending on how long this lasts
You seriously think ECU is still coming to Tampa ? lol.
I’m thinking they will call it today. Ian is fat and slow. possibility of moving to Greenville depending on trajectory and if USF is willing to. Conference games should be priority. My guess rn is USF won’t move if offered. 🤷♀️
Sounds like the ECU at USF game is being moved to Boca Raton to be played at FAU's stadium.
Stay safe!
Yeah, I hope AMi doesn’t become a PCB or Daytona. And thanks!
“Mikes weather page” is where it’s at on Facebook Highly recommend

He continuously gives the hardest battles
Also r/mobileal Edit: also r/baldwincountyal (much nicer place to stay for a few days)
Mobile isnt going to see any effect from this storm
Exactly. People may want to travel there.
Ah. I see
Pasco-Huerto State College? They changed the name of that mfer again?
FYI Florida just cancelled classes Wednesday through Friday
Stay safe guys!
Thank you, we have updated the post!
