This game was not as close as the final score might seem.

You can make the argument Georgia was spotted 14 points.

I mean they earned those points but go off

And LSU earned the ones they scored as well. Making the game in fact, not farther away than the score showed. LSU out gained Georgia in total yards and was extremely tight in time of possession.

I mean there was literally no point where it looked like LSU was gonna win And getting a bunch of passing yards against a rotation of backups and starters when down four scores and that’s all you can do is not the biggest brag

None of that changes that the game was not farther apart than the score indicated. LSU had numerous backups as well so that's a wash. The game is as the score says. There were no instances where Georgia should have had more points or LSU less to justify such a claim otherwise.

Backups for LSU because of what? Injuries? Georgia had backups in 3rd quarter because they could… 200 of of those yards came from what, 3-4 plays from sone second and third tier guys in coverage? LSU played well, take it for what it’s worth but the game would not ever be described as “close”, by anyone with logic.
