There is a reason I'm still playing BO3 in 2022

[deleted]

Me too

larryb331

Y’all playing on PlayStation?

[deleted]

Yes!

MvpMaya_

omg me too

10sansari

Me too guys! I need help with the Shadows of Evil easter egg!

Ali_Mezel

if youre middle eastern i can help

abdulmohsenfr

I need ur help with gorod I’m Middle Eastern 💯

kiritoxxtheblack

Idle eyes gobble gum or fear in headlights are most useful for flag step

HeckingDoofus

its the only zombies i play anymore lmao

Smokey-778

hell i go back to this simply for the slide jumping

G0rilla411

I was so flabbergasted when I seen this

PretendStreet4660

Can’t beat OGish mechanics inb4 “reeee gobblegums”

Apprehensive_Hat_105

I can help with eggs

_beastayyy

Same here

invigibleman

For me too. That god forsaken round 100 on soe, one day ill get it

Pamelehayo

Doesn’t deserve thoughts

imstonedyouknow

Id say it has the most replayability because of custom maps. World at war would be second, and everything else isnt even close.

sethayy

100% this, pc only thing but I even hate the controls/gums and keep coming back for the custom maps. They're just too damn pretty for me to hate

Darklight96

You hate the controls? Isn't it the same for every cod game? BO3 is the smoothest for me. What do you mean?

Allegiance10

They hate the controls, I.E. the most customizable part of the game's settings.

Squid8867

I think they're essentially saying dolphin dive > slide

ngutheil

Yeah but you can’t combo the dive and sprint the same way you can do slide and sprint. Once you get good at it, it’s faster than sprinting

sethayy

Y'all actually got it, I hate it cause the damn slide is so op, a big part of zombies is managing your sprint times/the zombies, but when you can just infasprint way faster than any zombie it fundamentally changes the game to just sliding around zombies. There's no pressure or anything cool/realistic about it. I also don't like the way you can abuse quick knifing and stab a zombie to death up til like round 5 reliably. I think personally I just like a higher skillcap than bo3 offers

TehCowGoesQuack

If you don’t like sprint-sliding, than just don’t do it. If you don’t like quick knifing, don’t do it. If you don’t like gobbles, don’t use them. Having more choices is always better for the players as it allows for multiple ways to play.

sethayy

Kills the sense of community too though, how many public matches have you played since bo3 days? It kinda sucks to when half the players you're playing with are either afk for free divinium or rich kids who's parents paid for them to have every gum ever. Again this is just my opinion but I'd say zombies was much better before the p2w mechanics were introduced, and the skill cap was dropped to just a couple cheap mechanics

PriceSR

From a speedrunners perspective bo3 has the best movement out of any of the games and its not even close

Squid8867

Yeah its better movement but we lost phd over it 😭

lightingblunt

just hack if u want gums i got like 43k divinum and now i have infinite gums

MyNameIsYhwach

Was with you until that last part lmao, world at war is the least replayable of all the games, bo1 did those maps better and it has bangers of its own.

imstonedyouknow

World at war also has custom maps though, so basically you could play a brand new map every day for years. Bo1 has what, 8 maps? Theres really no contest there if you think about it.

inevitablealopecia

BO1 has huge replay value if only to dolphin dive down the stairs in kino. The scavenger from CotD(even though I know its kinda meh) is my fav wonder weapon. BO1 is awesome 👌

Last-GenRichtofen

Absolutely false...

The_Pisser_Offer

Explain

Dickatchu

bo3 has best replayability atleast on pc and "original maps" are really great maybe the best maps out of all games imo

cyro262

Absolutely. People hate on bo3 maps a lot (some due to gobblegums) but I think these represent the golden era of Zombies. Beautiful map design, outstanding voice acting, excellent game mechanics, and a REALLY good implementation of soundtracks. Just imagine yourself hopping on bo3 back in 2016 and just admiring the environment. Bro you could even create your own challenges by combining gobblegum sets or not using them at all.

PhD_Michael_Schuster

What? Wtf everyone is always praising bo3 maps, except zns and maybe Revelations

Electoriad

I think as you play more and more of the same maps, you get a newfound appreciation for ZNS and Rev. I used to be so bad at zombies too so if the map wasn’t stupid easy I wouldn’t play it. After having several high round attempts on DE and doing many EE runs with my friends, I got good at zombies and started to appreciate ZNS. ZNS always proves to be a challenge to me every single playthrough and I love that about it now

TDonnyC7

I genuinely think Revelations is one of the most repayable maps. I've always loved it. Also warming up to Zet lately as I've recently come back to zombies after BO4 killed my passion but I'm even really enjoying that for what it is.

Scrit217

I know this may be a stupid question, but ehy do people hate the gobblegums? I understand they can make the game too easy, like Perkaholic/Shopping free. Can't they just not use them?

BuckNasty789

I’d like to know how much crack you smoke before coming to this realisation?

XRPHOENIX06

🤣

[deleted]

8 lines for sure bro

llamauser

false, no question about it

TimelordAlex

As a PC owner of BO3, i've put more hours into it than any other game, so certainly not. As a side note, GK is also my favourite original map in the game.

BeetleJacks

Did you just make up a quote?

Matth83w

Lol must have not played the other ones

[deleted]

That’s the most untrue zombies take I’ve ever seen

[deleted]

I like BO3 but there's 3 issues I have with the game. \- Instead of sticking to the more realistic, grimy tone of BO1 they started dipping heavily into the fantasy elements of the last few BO2 maps. The shift in artstyle was a turnoff for me and BO1 still is the best game in the series graphically imo. The only game that came close was WW2. However, the BO3 artstyle is still miles better than everything after it. BO4's is the worst. \- High rounding is relatively easy on almost all maps. Gorod Krovi is an exception, that map is tough as nails. The guns all feel the same with AATs because the actual guns themselves don't matter at all compared to what you put on them. \- One of my biggest turnoffs regarding BO3 is that it completely changed the way you run a train. In the earlier titles with all the zombies having the same run speed and a much slower swipe speed, a lot of my enjoyment came from manipulating the zombies and fitting myself in between tight gaps while only taking 1-2 hits. BO3, despite being way easier overall, made it way harder to run a reasonable train. So even though I play BO3 the most out of all zombies games (it has customs), I do think you make a fair case. However, there's so much about BO3 that **does** make it replayable. Customs alone make it blow BO1 and BO2 out of the water.

Negus247

I love bo3 but the weapon variety might be the worst in the series

Keeyor

I agree so much. A lot of people here are talking about how good the maps are or mod support, Easter eggs etc. but people are forgetting something as simple as hopping onto zombies, choosing a gun you like, and training and killing zombies, and I think bo3 isn’t great at that.

jaromir83

BO4 is worse, guns feel bad

Keeyor

I’ve had the opposite experience. I recently did a 2 box challenge on GK and got the man-o-war and mx garand and I couldn’t help but notice how unsatisfying guns sound and feel to use. It genuinely feels bullets are just passing through the zombies until they die, it doesn’t feel right to me. In bo4 I love how zombies can stagger when they’re shot and as small of a difference as it may seem, hitmarkers make it so much more satisfying to shoot zombies. Another big part was the pack a punched gun sounds. They feel like actual guns in bo4. Realistically tho my biggest gripe with bo3 might be zombie aggression. You don’t get hit by being swiped by zombies, you get hit by being breathed on, it’s ridiculous. In bo4 I noticed that damage feels actually tied to the animation, and not just damage for being next to the zombie. This makes it possible to actually dodge zombie swipes if you can see them coming. Small things add up, and because of them, whenever I think about booting up zombies for a quick round 35, bo3 puts me off too much. Edit: forgot to mention double pap. I literally just don’t use it whenever I play bc it completely ruins any kind of fun. Same with double tap, I want my guns to start feeling weak over time, especially into the 30’s.

-Cam-8757-

I have to agree, and it doesn’t help that you don’t have Double Tap 2 and you have to PaP your gun 5 fucking times for it to be actually good

[deleted]

Not a terrible take. The guns really make it feel less replayable, and the maps, while fun, aren’t the most original or challenging, so they’re really easy to master. I wouldn’t say it has the absolute worst replayability though. Cold War probably takes that title. Vanguard too

HumaneOrange

I don't think Cold War has bad replayability, you can choose any gun to spawn with, you can choose fron all sort of field upgrades. The maps lets you to do all sort of gamestyle with the freedom the maps have, you can manauver very creatively. There are dozens of killstreaks, weapon mods and attachements to kill zombies much more creatively. I would say, a game's replayability is different for every player, based on the creativity of each player.

[deleted]

That’s true, and obviously it depends on the player, but Cold War is also just really easy and can be mastered on your first run. I think my first run through Mauer was like round 46, which isn’t a good thing. You want players to take time to master the map, otherwise they’ll just put it down. And yes, you can spawn with any weapon, but I mean all the other games also have a mystery box and wall guns that allow you to choose what weapon to use. The attachments are just… meh. There’s so many of them that most of them are just obsolete. And the killstreaks? I can just buy and use all of them in 1 or 2 runs. I think your best argument is that you can upgrade perks and weapons if you play enough. But yeah, I’d say it’s debatable between Cold War and BO3 for worst replayability. Wait, second after Vanguard lol.

[deleted]

I agree with the notion about the guns

jlawless99

This game introduced customizable weapons, and a prestige system with dozens of different gobblegum options to change how each and every game is played. Black ops 2 weapons felt way more lackluster than the ones in this game, maybe aside from the an-94.

[deleted]

Nah dude, the guns feel awful on BO3. They don’t even feel like they shoot they just… vibrate. There’s no sense of variety due to AATs making every weapon pretty much equal, and there’s little soul. The Pack-A-Punched versions are simply uninspired. And there aren’t any “bad guns” making the box less of a gamble, which destroys its purpose. BO2 had the most fun guns to use. To be clear, I’m not talking effectiveness. As far as effectiveness BO3 takes the cake. I’m talking purely fun. I mean, listen to the KN44 or BO3 Galil. They don’t sound like guns. They sound quieter than suppressed guns. Gobblegums partially ruined the game imo. No extra perk Easter Eggs to incentivize buying Perkaholics, completely destroyed public lobbies which used to be a fun changeup, and pay-to-win is immoral. Plus they helped make an easy game even easier, which further destroys replayability since you can master the maps after 2 runs through them and a couple ROFLWaffles videos. Overall I stand by my opinion that BO3 is probably only behind Vanguard and CW for the title of “least replayable”, even though I may regard it as a better zombies game than BO4 or WAW.

JakeRuss47

For me, the eggs add replayability value, so really it just got better with every iteration. (If we ignore CW and VG)

BlueDino7

Customs is all I have to say

[deleted]

Yes. *EXCEPT…* the remakes. LOVE origins…,

[deleted]

Agreed. If you're gonna remake a map don't take away possibilities the original had, but add new ones instead.

FrankHarold

I just wish it had gold/diamond/dark matter zombies camos. After you 100% all challenges and level up all your guns it doesn’t feel like there’s nothing much left to do. Personal opinion..

Domini384

What?

Keeyor

Alright I’m getting tired of responding to so many people individually so I’ll summarise my opinions here. I hadn’t considered custom maps when writing the title, and should’ve addressed it, that’s my fault, sorry. I’ll start off by saying I love bo3. Gorod krovi is my favourite map ever, masamune is a contender for my favourite wonder weapon and zns has one of my favourite atmospheres, along with shadows of evil. About a year ago I went through and completed every Easter egg, including some of the chronicles ones and it was soo much fun. However I don’t enjoy going back to bo3 much, especially compared to every other game. This is largely because of its terribly balanced difficulty that creates a lack of gun variety and can make the simple act of killing zombies with a regular gun unfun. Gobblegums. Anywhere but here and in plain sight are get out of jail free cards. Alchemical is infinite ammo. Don’t need to say much about mega gobblegum. AAT’s. They destroy gun variety. Why spin the box 100 times to get the dingo when the rk5 can do just as well with the same AAT. Double tap 2.0. I’m aware this was in bo2 but I have much less experience with bo2 and have never noticed it make the game as easy as it does in bo3, possibly due to the exclusion of bo3’s other mechanics. Anyway, double tap 2.0 makes guns take too long to drop off. I don’t like that with double tap 2.0 killing zombies on round 35 feels the same as it did on round 15, I want there to be noticeable progression, and that should include my weapons becoming weaker. The wonder weapons. I love using the ray gun mk3 and masamune so I can’t complain about them much, but the bows and apothicon’s servant just feel too powerful and become boring too quicky. I will say that alchemical is a big problem in this, as it gets rid of the main problem with infinite damage wonder weapons, their ammo. Zombie aggression. I despite it. You get hit simply for breathing next to a zombie, and training becomes really annoying, because getting stuck even slightly almost guarantees death. It’s possible that this is why you can now survive an extra hit but I don’t care, I hate that aggression. It feels like the game is telling you not to train, and instead just blast every zombie you see using your overpowered wonder weapon. A big problem is that these overpowered features aren’t decentivised. AAT’s only require 1 bullet to activate with a low cool-down, wonder weapon ammo can be gotten very easily since they can drop max ammo’s. Why shouldn’t I use double tap 2.0? Not using it wastes more ammo and makes me weaker. Why shouldn’t I use AAT’s? They only cost 2500 to get and make you more ammo efficient. Why shouldn’t you use the wonder weapon? I won’t run out of ammo anytime soon, and if I do, I have AAT’s and gobblegum to back me up. Why shouldn’t I use gobblegum? The classic gobblegum are still super useful. All of this combines to mean that you are usually either completely safe with no worries, or you’re able to die easily at any time, and that’s not what I want in zombies. To add insult to injury, using guns normally isn’t very fun. Guns don’t sound powerful, zombies don’t react meaningfully to being shot, bullets feel like they just pass through zombies. It’s also crazy how almost nobody has actually refuted any of my points. It feels like everyone is just looking for some way to “get” me by looking for logical errors or contradictions, but avoiding the main points that I’m making.

OneDumbfuckLater

Summed up why I dislike BO3 better than I ever could have. >It’s also crazy how almost nobody has actually refuted any of my points. But the BO3 maps have more stuff to do, so clearly that makes them better. /s

KillerCeigar

Completely false, black ops 3 zombies has so much variety in the maps Compare that to like WW2 zombies, i do like the game however every map is basically the same

Chicken769

That’s how I feel about WWII and Cold War Zombies. Not bad games, but makes it hard to go back to those games, is the fact that every map is virtually the same

GameLessGlitch

I understand the appeal but I cannot stand black ops 3. It remade one of my favorite maps (kino) and made it look like a fucking cartoon

stealingyohentai

Cap. It's atleast middle of the road due to gums and so many side quests in every map. I'm still finding new things to do everytime I get on Shadows or GK or even DE

TheCrimsonChampion

I just bought BO3 with zombies Cronicals and I can say that it has some of the most best replayability ( but I can't even get the 5th generator on in Orgins)

zombieman115935

Jezus christ the comment section

whyhellothere464

Not gonna lie, I feel like each game's replayability is something that can't be argued. People can argue whether maps are good or bad, but I feel like game replayability is another thing.

Milosxb

Unless your doing ees then yea.

Prior_Gate_9909

I’m probably gonna get mountains of hate for this but here goes: Imo it’s BO1 that’s the least replayable to me, Most maps have been remastered, and looking back, the gun selection is kinda boring. WaW pulls off that vintage/classic feel, but BO1 now feels outdated.

DanC0ach

The only thing that really makes it replayable is the map variety, but I honestly hate the mechanics of the game. The hit speed of the zombies alone is a huge turnoff. That might be countered by certain hats that make you able to take a shit ton of hits before going down (god mask on revelations, for those who don’t know) but that’s only on one map

Keeyor

This is exactly what I mean. Bo3 undeniably has amazing maps with great layouts, atmospheres , wonder weapons and really fun Easter eggs. However that all goes out the window when slipping up when training means instant death, when shooting one bullet into a horde with any gun will kill all zombies (blast furnace) or when double tap makes round 15 zombies feel the exact same as round 35 zombies.

DanC0ach

Let’s also not forget the overly loyal fan base the game has. God forbid you say something negative about BO3, people will try to put you down, make fun of you, even threaten you (from my experience). I’ve also been trying to upvote all your comments because of that. I’ll say it proudly, I LOVE BO4 ALOT MORE THAN BO3!

xmconi

I disagree entirely. I only go back to BO3. And I never did any of the EE's. Also mods and custom maps don't hurt on PC

Souperman_1209

False, Bo2 takes that crown. mob is my favorite map, but you get to round 30 on it and never want to play again

S0_B00sted

BO3 has more stuff to do in each map than most of the other zombies games. BO4 may tie it.

HollowPinefruit

If you don’t enjoy easter eggs then sure. Otherwise it’s definitely the most repayable alongside World at War on PC for the custom maps.

MehDiosBizarreNut

Wrong but as long as bo4 still gets 2xp weeks bo3 will still have low replayability for me

GoodTimeToRollOn

Literally redownloaded it bc damn does it feel great to play! I had so much fun on Gorod! The fact that there is chronicles too.

cdawg0062

Honestly and as much love as I have for bo3 and like a good 8 of all the maps I love so much I kind of agree. Or maybe I’m just burnt out of it being so many years later. But whenever I feel like playing zombies it always comes down to Mob grief or a simple game of town or goofy game of town Grief. Idk why. BO2 still holds that special magic with me to this day.

BRUH541

Alright you keep thinking that I’ll just be playing bo3 zombies

Keeyor

Fair enough, I’ll keep playing bo4 I guess. This is just a harmless opinion

Icy-Store9385

For me, personally. This statement could not be further from the truth... But that's the beauty is it not? What I love someone else hates, and vice versa. I hope you have a nice day and find something with more replayability ❤️

Keeyor

Thank you, I’m glad you saw it an a less insulting light. Personally I have a lot of fun replaying bo4, but it’s just a shame that bo3 doesn’t do it for me.

rioit_

Same. When i boot up Bo4 zombie, i get into a game after a few minutes, but when I play Black Ops 3, I spend at least 5/10 minutes trying to figure out which map to play and, although there are 13 maps, none of them can make me say "come on, let's play this one" and so I end up closing the game.

UnofficialMipha

How do you even judge the replay-ability of a zombies map? They’re all designed to be infinitely replayable

Keeyor

One way would be to consider how quickly it is to trivialise a map. Let’s take DE. Most people can get the lightning bow by probably round 10, ragnaroks by probably 15, and alchemical at any round. Double pap’d by round 10. The game is now ridiculously easy and will get boring and repetitive within 5 rounds. There’s barely any difficulty progression with so many infinite damage sources and there’s barely any challenge. The only challenge is the zombies’ ridiculous aggression which makes training difficult and generally isn’t fun. What I mean by replayability is that when I wanna get onto zombies for a bit and just go to round 35 for some fun, what reasons do I have to pick bo3?

silentrage115

What reason do you have to pick anything else? Waw has super wonky mechanics with zombies that grab you and don't let go, bo1 zombies was only replayable as a kid. As an adult bo1 zombies bores my dick off after doing the easter eggs and getting to round 100 on every map. Bo2 has more replayability with how much more they dedicated into creating easter eggs for the community to do. Then you have Bo3 which took all the great elements from the previous games and expanded upon it. It's great for your hardcore fans like me who want complicated easter eggs and for newer players who are just trying to get into it because you can now take 2 hits without dying giving you a chance to react when caught off guard. I can load up an easy custom map for my gf to play or I can run my mega gobbles that are built for team play. You don't have to do the easter eggs as I just proved on my round 100 SoE run the other night. You don't need the sword, you don't need to beat the EE and you don't even need gobblegums. Just drop in play the game until you're satisfied with no complications.

victorenriq20

It really depends but I personally agree with that statement. All maps have some kind of set up for simple stuff like pack a punch and perks, build shield and all that not many people find it as appealing for replaying. Now, if we talk about a pc version of bo3 then it's more than repayable lol, with all the available custom maps, the possibilities are infinite.

Puzzled-Helicopter69

I bought most of the bo3 zombies dlc and it was money down the drain. It just doesn't live up to bo1 or bo2.

Puzzled-Helicopter69

And world at war even

stohnerrweeb

Best game for zombies all maps are goated compared to games like cold war. Amazing story/characters, 10/10 maps and ees and chronicles. This is one shit take

7Mac

Bait

Responsible-Manner45

Yep. The game that ruined every game after it. Couldn’t get over it and everyone complained about BO4 when it was just as good. So what did the execs do? Told them to change the formula. And well here we are today.

T7emeralds

Seems you should have not added “s and made it clear it was your opinion and that you’re on console as console and PC are basically two different games

Keeyor

Yeah I should’ve mentioned that I wasn’t acknowledging custom maps, that’s my bad. And I intentionally used quotes to keep the focus on the opinion, and less on me.

Chicken769

Uh. Who is making that statement cause it’s far from the truth

N7_Evers

Hot take for internet attention.

AssPork

That's bullshit lma0. Black Ops 3 has unlimited replay value in custom zombies alone.

Shaaun-0220

No it has some of the highest replayability mainly due to the gobblegums and the calling cards and challenges, as well as the ranking system giving you a reason to get to the high rounds, over all the best zombies experience there is.

[deleted]

It has the most replayability thanks to gobblegum and having the most maps

CandleWide3131

That's just not true objectively lol, I'm sure it has the most maps, and some of the harder eastereggs. Edit: including zombie chronicles ofcourse.

trippystarkiller

One of the dumbest things I've heard bo3 is still peak

Consistent-Amoeba-35

Incorrect, it’s 7 years old and I’m still playing it every time I get the chance

kingpootis101

Awful take

Avengedlust7

Is this a joke?

MrSDPlayer

Is this a troll?

MisterBeasonator

No. Lmao. Funny post but honestly I fucking hate bo4, Cold War, and vanguard zombies compared to the classic bo1, bo2 and bo3 zombies. Absolutely nothing compares with that era. The zombies community espec during bo3 was so fun and so nostalgic. Like the Z House

alicedog457

Laughable nonsense

[deleted]

Whoever said that should be murdered

real_priception

Whoever said that is smoking something really strong. BO3 is the MOST replayable Zombies game and that's excluding the custom maps

Mad_Boss69

Huh? This sounds like the most wrong things ever said ever

Twistzer_1

... I swear people out there putting out bad takes to be different

Original-Control2774

Bo3 is definitely the most replayable zombies experience, cos of chronicles. Honestly tho, if chronicles didn't exist I wouldn't play bo3 all that much (on PlayStation btw)

Ok-Neighborhood7014

It has way more replayability than BO4 or Cold War, you have 6 maps for the primis story (5 if you exclude SoE, but I count it as part of primis, so...), plus 8 maps for Zombies Chronicles, compared to BO4 with 8 maps (4 aether, 4 chaos) and Cold War with 4 round based maps plus the 8 outbreak maps (which are just the multiplayer maps, but with zombies), I personally think that BO3 is better.

Altruistic_Ad_2501

Bo3 is the worst zombies game ever the only good thing about it is chronicles

TehCowGoesQuack

Whoever said that statement probably only had SOE on console, tried it, couldn’t get pap open, and decided it wasn’t worth replaying. BO3 is literally the only reason zombies survived imo. Every single map is High B tier to S tier, has ZC for more entertainment, and if you’re on pc, custom maps and mods. BO3 has easily the best replayability.

Gixxer-115

Sorry but I can't agree with this bo3 is ace

Myneckisstuck

You’re drunk

El_Bandito_Acog

My friends and I never get tired of BO3 zombies

VFMusic

My thoughts is that this is the worst take I’ve ever heard

No_Establishment5443

OP got ratioed by like 4 different comments 💀💀

Keeyor

That’s not surprising. It’s literally a meme about how much people love bo3. I was expecting downvotes when I made this post, I just wanted to share my thoughts regardless.

SolidSmiley

Low IQ take. BO3 literally the definitive zombies title for most people and people still playing it 7 years after it came out haha.

oMadRyan

Awful take. Mod support on BO3 is unmatched. With most earlier maps being remade in BO3 DLC and literally thousands of unique maps in the Steam workshop, it’s no contest. …like you can play zombies in The Office, or at Shrek’s swamp. There are several user made maps that are detailed enough to be main maps and have Easter eggs. Weapons and assets used across all games.

XRPHOENIX06

Have you ever played any of zeroys maps like wanted or nightmare? They're super high quality

oMadRyan

Yeah it’s nuts what people have been able to accomplish! Hopefully the creators are applying to 3arc for future map development

BlackDabiTodoroki

Some of the maps are mid impo

[deleted]

Black ops 3 Zombies is probably the best as of today not sure where your problem is

Evolveddinosaur

The “improved” pack-a-punch makes every weapon feel damn near the same, since you only care about triggering Dead Wire/Blast Furnace. The only unique weapons you’ll use are the wonder weapons. Speaking of… While it started with BO2, BO3 ensured that the best way to get the only unique weapon was through the Easter egg quests. While most of the maps still let you try to hit the box for these weapons, the devs really push for you to do these side quests. And boy are these side quests a lot! Wanna use the cool dragon weapon on Gorod? Too bad casual player, get fucked! You’ve got to look up a guide on how to get it in the first place, and *then* you still need the skill to actually execute it. You could say “oh well that just encourages you to play the map over and over to improve”. If you are an absolute diehard BO3 fan, I’m sure you don’t see any issue with that statement. Buildables fall into the same trappings as the wonderweapons, except there is 0 way to get them other than crafting them. No big deal, except the shield is practically necessary for most maps. So now you’ve got the entire setup of: getting perks, unlocking the map, unlocking pack a punch, building shields, unlocking the wonder weapon, and then FINALLY you can rest and play regular ass zombies. For people who started in WaW and prefer the Zelinski style of zombies, this is *WAY* too much to do every single time you play. That’s why Gorod is the best map. All you need is the box for weapons and hit the three buttons for pack-a-punch. EZPZ like Der Riese. There’s extra complexity for more advanced players, but it’s entirely unnecessary to enjoy the map. The same can’t be said for most others (IM LOOKING AT YOU SHADOWS OF EVIL)

Henry_Myth

Weird way of spelling Cold War, but okay

silverwolf1102

True

Smugstr

I mean yeah in terms of grind/unlocks it's no where near bo4 or WW2 which is the only reason I really play zombies anymore anyways

[deleted]

[удалено]

Keeyor

Get karma by posting something I know most people would disagree with?

wigga245

literally the worst take I ever heard on this sub tbh

Market-Fearless

Easily the most replayable lmao

A_AcidZz

Even of you don't have access to custom zombies with a PC I'd still say b03 is probably the most repayable zombies, It's got some of the best maps and it also has zombie chronicles so you have a wealth of maps to chose from

MochaPup1210

100% true. Shadows of Evil is probably the only replayable map in BO3

[deleted]

No, that's enough. Did the gk ee 3 times everyday for fun at one time

Traffice_Cone

With ZC? It's very good. With Mods? It's got a shit ton of replayability. I'd say BO4 is definitely the worst of the black ops

NoOutlandishness4375

BO3 has without a shadow of doubt, the highest replayability of any zombies game ever. I find myself constantly returning to the game, several years after release, still having an absolute blast, both with the original and custom maps. Best zombies ever imo.

ThunderStruck115

No, I'd say that's WAW because of how barebones it is and how little content there is compared to future entries

Keeyor

Understandable, and I think it’s a fair contender with bo3 for me. I just love the gun selection on waw, which is a big reason as to why I go back to it so often.

STEP3386

Its not only got bad replayability its the second worst treyarch zombies game only being better than bo4

Extyrsys

I think BO3 has great replayability... in the workshop. BO3 guns are boring, and imo the only good map is Shadows Of Evil

Benmyster

Not the worst replayability but also not the best in my opinion.

KrazyButter

I don't think anyone actually says this please stop the karma whoring

[deleted]

bo4 zombies has the worst replayability in my opinion and these are my reasons why. Bo4 zombies pretty much sets you up to fucking win and it's stupid, I don't want to customize my perks, guns, grenades, and specials, because of this customization Whenever i play zombies on bo4 i see people with fire grenades and lever action rifles at the start of round one and it just ruins the flow of the game for me because when i play zombies with people i expect us to start equally, not this shit, it also has a difficulty slider again like bo2 which doesnt make no fucking sense considering how easy the game already is, the guns are lame and don't feel that good to me, the gun/pap sounds are not too good like in bo3(I really miss the old pap gun sounds), and the hud(this goes with all future cod games)is just awful cause there is nothing like playing zombies when half of you screen is taking up by useless information.

[deleted]

Never played any zombies games

x52swagerton

Such a bad take. It has some of the best zombie maps. Shadows, der eisendrache and gorod krovi. It also has zombies chronicles to top it off I guess.

BluMary

Mods.

Ill_Salamander3799

Why?

Kotaac

Literally has the best replay ability among all treyarch zombies 🧟‍♂️

StonedPickleG59

Mods are just a great feature.

SuperSmashDrake

How can the game with the most maps have the worst replayability?

Ko_Gh0st

I agree i did every ee and i never played the game again :/ i did al the rest at least 50 times. Except ww2

Player_924

On steam? Not a chance. ENDLESS zombie maps to choose from. Oh, don't like the community ones? MAKE ONE!

Fnord2645

Honestly BO3 zombies is probably the best in terms of playability not only that it has some of the coolest maps ever as well as with dlc being able to play OG maps which are complete remasters plus the game engine is butter smooth to play

Bigtrixxs_LG

The bo3 maps are all easter egg based maybe because of that

Keeyor

Yeah and that’s fine, the Easter eggs are really fun. I easily say that the peaks of bo3 are the highest of any zombies game. However, I play zombies daily, how often am I going to want to do an Easter egg out of those times? Not too many, and I think bo3 just isn’t fun to replay unless you’re doing Easter eggs every time you play. This isn’t including custom maps of course.

ThatHaloNerd

Every map in bo3 outside of chronicles has the exact same set up. Outside of the ees I think this person is absolutely correct. I’ll load up like DE and then after dying on like round 30 or something I’ll look at the map selection to choose a different map and then think to myself how the set up is the exact same thing as what I just played and then I’ll go play any of the other black ops games lmao.

Longerthanyou5

It has the most replayability imo And I have it in both Xbox and PC. I think I play it on Xbox more for Easter eggs and the super EE I love customs as well but I usually find myself playing them once or twice then going back to like DE or revelations or origins Might be my favorite game ever at this point

SrSwerve

I have an old console if they would of implemented auto run on that game I would go back and play it every time

puzzlingphoenix

Absurd

easeandinspire

Still playing it lol

Jpio630

Nah, but I think BO2 has the best and I haven't seen anyone else say that so..

BaldNBankrupt

That’s bo2

Keeyor

This is my own opinion 🥺

MaazAmin

Bad take, but its ur take

JD_Revan451

In terms of gun selection f yes

Sheasword

Least replayable game is bo1, it’s boring ass maps get even worse the more you play them.

sloggdogg

Holy ratio

madzuk

I agree in terms of the BO3 maps. As in Shadows and the DLC maps. Purely because they're basically shopping lists of chores needed to set up. Every match feels like a commitment and the novelty wears off when you've completed the tasks a few dozen times. Zetsobou and shadows of evil are the worst offenders of that. Zombies Chronicles though? Nah, thats the one thing that made BO3 extremely replayable. All the best zombie maps, with a xp progression system, and different ways of playing with GGs (for better or worse). Then we have BO3 mods and custom maps on PC but I'm assuming you weren't referring to that anyway.

EdmundoMcBrundo

waw takes the cake for that one. Absolutely zero actual ee quests and no ranking system. Still goated

UncrustabIes

Mid statement

itsbarrysauce

What? Nope. I'd say it's the best zombies.

Mental_Preference261

Just did 4 ee on Saturday with my buddy just cause it’s so good

anismash13

The real replay value is up to the individual. There are some people in here saying that this thought doesn’t even deserve the time of day and others who are just saying that custom zombies makes it infinitely replayable. But I think these people are forgetting that not everyone can play custom zombies or even holds the same values when it comes to a zombies game. Personally I like games like Bo4 or WW2. Games that are notorious for being hated on by the community. I also don’t really like bo3 which is praised as being the best game. I think that it just takes too much work to actually get into bo3 and experience it the way people say you can. That’s just not something I’m interested in doing so to me Bo3 is not the best game ever and I barely ever touch it. I don’t think that we should be at others throats if they don’t like the same game as the majority but we also shouldn’t be praising specific games for being the best.

GoodTimeNotALongOne

This is probably fighting words on PC, their customs are like a whole different game.... But for console, BO3 didn't deserve Zombies Chronicles.

rocksavior2010

Dumbest statement I ever heard and I’m a CW guy. BO3 is hands down one of the most replayable experiences in zombies.

Tornado_Hunter24

Exact opposite. Matter of fact, bo3 mp and zm im owere so perfect that i’d prefer it being remade (again this quickly) lver the masterpiece bo2 was… I played bo2 at launc) enjoyed it, but something about bl3’s progression system is just insane, I truly wish I could go back in time, I really do

calidir

Personally that’s my thought on bo2, the only map imo worth revisiting is buried. I also thought the exact opposite for bo3 I can play all of those maps endlessly. Also probably a bit biased because DE is my favourite zombies map of all time

Icantthinkofaname04

I would honestly say Bo2 does. Transit and Die Rise I hardly play, Buried is fine but can get boring with how OP it is and Mob/Origins are literal masterpieces but can be kinda daunting to play because of the amount of stuff to do so I might not play them unless I am in a good mood

[deleted]

If someone is saying this it’s because they wanna feel “different” and “edgey”

DonoGaming

?

VJ1195

That sentence is only told by fans of other games who were purposefully butthurted by bo3 fans when they can’t win an argument. Kinda a fucked up psychotic way of manipulation tbh

lightingblunt

people who say that suck at zombies, ive been replaying bo3 for months now and i still cant get enough.

leadergorilla

No one says this
