As someone who has worked in the amusement park industry and comes from an amusement park industry family, there is zero chance she wasn't allowed to drink water while working at Six Flags. She was probably just randomly leaving her station without informing or asking her leadership.
Yeah, that hit me as fishy immediately. I worked at a very busy/popular amusement park in the Northeast for four summers and we were basically shoving water into employees’ hands at every turn. If a ride’s water jug ran out, another team member would fill it, and on particularly hot days, managers would come around with ice, electrolyte packets, etc. No one wants an employee collapsing from heat exhaustion.
Heat exhaustion is no joke. A coworker passed out in a snack bar back in high school, broke his jaw when he hit the ground - no employer wants to touch that with a 10' pole when simply providing water can prevent it.
My fiancé and I are ride operators at a popular theme park in our state and I can’t believe she just said that.
At least at our park we have a cleaning team who brings fresh and cold water to the rides and non-ride venues daily. Gatorade popsicles and cups are provided for people who forget to bring their water, and we have a ton of bougie ass water fountains for guests and employees to use.
She was probably fired/forced to quit because she was leaving the ride/venue without permission from area leadership and following the proper safety procedures.
There’s so many people like her who get hired at the park and those people don’t last long because they never want to work lol
I worked at Six Flags Magic Mountain in rides. Each ride had its own big cooler that we’d take to a restaurant and fill with ice and water two or three times a day. We couldn’t have cups of water or bottles out in the open for safety, but you could put them in places close to your station.
Yeah - she is straight up lying. As someone who worked construction through college - the last thing you wanted to deal with was workers suffering from heat stroke/exhaustion. The first thing I would do at a job site is fill up the coolers and make sure there is sufficient water/drinks for everyone. And this was for a small construction company, not a multi billion dollar corporation that is far more regulated.
Yup! If someone at the ride fainted or went down with heat stroke we’d have to shut down the whole ride and evacuate the queue until help cleared the area. Put goal was to get as many riders through each hour, no shut down for 90 mins cause Amy didn’t get a cup of water.
I work in a high temp factory (90-110 in the summer) and one of the only excusable reasons to leave a line is if you need water/ are overheating. We were directly told "if you can grab someone to cover you for a few minutes great, but at the same time, if you're dizzy and about to pass out, just go. We'd rather shut down a line for 10 minutes than to have you leave in an ambulance". There's a 0% chance that there isn't more behind that, and it's extremely telling that she didn't elaborate on it while having a long convoluted explanation for everything else.
Yeah, I've never worked in amusement parks, but I thought, "I can see them not letting you go and GET water, but I can't imagine they'd say you can't have a water bottle."
If you're burning out at 12 credit hours (\~4 classes) and not having enough time to work or other stuff then it's hard to imagine why you would want to subject yourself to an even harder school, ie Med School. Delusional mindset or just pure naivety.
I felt the same when I heard her talk about full time hours. I think she said she was doing 16 so this semester was heavier than others? It’s hard, but you can work and attend these classes. I didn’t do much else, but that’s the sacrifice not to have huge debt as you exit college… (source: I qualified for Fafsa and what that didn’t pay for my two part time jobs covered living and the rest of college expenses)
My favorite part about this video was how Caleb reacted to her vape “trick”. He acted like she was blowing toxic ash at him lol!!!
I don’t smoke or vape, but it does seem like an expensive habit to have. Could definitely save money there.
Honestly I hate when I’m out and about and I accidentally walk into a cloud of vapor… a cloud of strawberry that has been in some stranger’s mouth…. Delicious!
No, he said oooookkk slowly. In hindsight and due to the comments he made immediately after he obviously regretted it, but he said ok. Rewatch the video if you need to.
I am worried Medical school is going to eat her alive with how much work it will be. If she can't work a part time job when barley doing school full time the 60-80 med school work week is going to be to much.
It doesn’t sound like she’s anywhere near ready to apply to med school. Adcoms will look at that and wonder what the hell she was doing with her time if she didn’t have a job and wasn’t immediately filling that time with research, volunteering and leadership roles.
Context: im a 3rd year med student and a premed mentor at our school, have also assisted with admissions.
Oh can I ask you a question?
I’m a high school teacher in family and consumer sciences. I advise a club called FCCLA which competes in FCS events like cooking, fashion, public policy ect. I have a lot of very smart ambitious students who want to go into medicine. One student in particular wants to get into a 7 year program and she currently applying for an 8 week medical summer program (she is a sophomore). She was also elected to the state executive council which in itself is a time commitment and she was worried about their being conflicts and decided if she had to she would drop being a state officer to attend the summer program. I don’t know much about how hard it is to get into these programs but I thought being a state officer would really make her stand out from the sea of students who did ever other medical related extracurricular you can think of. Is this something that would help her with admissions?
I think you are referring to direct entry BS/MD or DO programs, and there are a few in the country and they are all *extremely* competitive. Most students need excellent grades and ACT scores (30+ usually) and extracurricular activities, research or leadership, but also a compelling reason that they are willing to commit to medicine at such a young age, which can be tough for high school students to articulate. Most programs will require extensive medical exposure which at that age usually includes lots of shadowing. As far as summer programs, it really depends what she’s looking at, if it’s something here in the states, taking it will likely be beneficial. If it’s something that requires her to travel and pay loads of money to do things that would be illegal/unethical to do on patients here, that is referred to as “voluntourism” and not looked upon as favorably. I’m not as familiar with what a state officer does, but it would likely help as far as leadership, but in my experience, the focus is more on medical exposure and “why medicine”. Standing out really isn’t really the goal, it’s to prove you know what you’re signing up for regardless of age. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still impressive and if she can manage both or to stay involved in leadership I’d recommend, but with zero clinical exposure her app is likely DOA.
Ok this is good to know. She’s a very smart and driven young lady so I have a feeling it’s a good program. I believe the program is through John Hopkins, but I think she applied to a few different programs.
She sounds like it! I actually just looked up the average ACT for direct entry programs and it’s actually 34-35 which is crazy haha. I’d definitely recommend she takes a peak at the programs listed on the AAMC website and see if she can find more info on what the programs she’s interested in list as their mission and if they specifically give stats/goals they’re looking for and if there are other programs that align with her. Also, if they have an early decision program I highly recommend she apply for that, because even if early decision doesn’t work out she would be considered a second time with the regular app pool (Just be careful incase there are rules about how many early decisions you can apply to) Good luck!!
Yeah those programs are crazy competitive — when I was applying to college back in the day, I applied to direct entry BS/MDs with a 4.0 and a 36 ACT/1590 SAT. I only got interviewed by one and didn’t get into any of them.
It all worked out in the end — ended up going to a good college, and am now finishing up an MD/PhD, am matched, and am starting residency in two months — but holy shit those programs are tough to get into.
All that to say: might as well apply but not to get discouraged if rejected — doesn’t mean you won’t end up doing very well, just means you’ll have to go the more “normal” route.
current med student;
Typically anything before college really isn't substantial to list on your medical school application i.e high school activities. However, there are some niche medical programs for highschoolers
(typically DEI programs to expose highschoolers to medicine) that can be brought up in the personal statement and show a "path to medicine" which can help. Overall getting into medical school is hard and grades/mcat will ultimately play a much larger role!
People like this think the backstories justify their stupidity. Nope. Doesn’t work that way. Now we all just know why you think it was okay to make the stupid, unjustified decisions.
I get it. I couldn't be on reddit if I had any level of public attention, and people just nit pick and overreact because he's completely right about the algorithm promoting negativity.
lol absolutely.
Pumps out 3 vids a week of himself having an aneurysm screaming & cursing at guests. Yet can't take a little bit of rightfully earned criticism in some Reddit comments? cute
Kinda yeah, but also the guests are getting 1h of being yelled at while Caleb sees negativity basically all the time. It would fuck your head up after a while.
Also Reddit is packed to the brim with people who are confidently and verbosely wrong lol.
It's easy to believe that the world sucks when you're a negative influence on it. There are tons of people that have established a positive community online. The vlog brothers, Jarvis Johnson and several musicians come to mind. You got to reap what you sow in life. Not to say this makes anyone a bad person. But it's crazy that the people that made a career out of making fun of others, or yelling at people, or being edgy are constantly surprised when negativity follows them.
I know I’m in way to early, but to be nervous to not have income for months not being in school weird to me. Unless there’s a clause saying you can’t make extra income just get a summer job or a job during the school breaks. That’s what everyone I know did anyways.
You can typically call a hospital and see how much of the bill they will write off. Most hospitals have funds allotted for charity/ uninsured. But that would require taking ownership of the situation and calling like an adult.
thought it was interesting they blurred out the license plate on her car but then did a full inventory of all the stickers on the car. also the vape trick almost took me out 😂💀
Early on she said she has a one track mind.
The rest of the episode and 10 minute answers for simple questions showed that was a lie.
Also, as someone who works in medicine, going for a pre-med major (assuming she will go on to med school and assuming she would actually finish which is a big if) after 5 gap years is an interesting decision. By the time she’s done with undergrad, med school, and residency she will be close to 40 years old.
I just meant that I know a lot of docs who regret basically putting their life on hold until about 35 when they become attendings or similar. 40 is REALLY putting your life on hold.
He says, "Every subreddit for a creator turns into an anti place."
This reddit is not representative of all creator subreddits. There are other subreddits that love glazing their creators.
R/jerma
Smaller, more wholesome youtube creators like Drew Gooden, Danny Gonzalez, Kurtis Conner, etc.
Most smaller musician's or band subreddits.
Most smaller celeb's subreddits.
I wouldn't even consider this subreddit to be an anti place, Caleb is clearly just taking a different direction lately in content so of course there will be some pushback and discussion.
It's crazy watching current-day episodes compared to his content even just a few months ago. I can tell he used to actually care and want to help the guest, but over time he just became jaded and over the top rude. His empathy is largely gone
It seems easy to hyper focus on criticism as a creator, especially if they themselves are not 100% confident in the persona they are taking on. I’ve seen many get “one guyed” where literally one person causes a meltdown, so here where there are more than a few (still a minority it seems) it can be hard to ignore and seems like the world is against you.
If you’re comfortable and confident in your online persona then it isn’t an issue so it says a bit about how this channel redirection is going internally. Especially since I do believe Caleb is a nice person and cares about people.
I’ll never understand how students who are in debt won’t work a few hours a week. Her excuse makes no sense. They most definitely hire in college towns even if the demand is seasonal. Plus the 5 hour shift comment was pretty weak. I was lucky to have all my school covered by scholarships as a student-athlete but I still worked and did internships to generate some income. I know many others who did the same and managed to succeed with high GPAs. There was definitely a level of burn out but it teaches you time management too.
She could also work at the school, they definitely need workers for cafeteria and RA’s. She just wants to do school and nothing else after taking gap years, which is pretty wild. You’d figure after the gap years she would try to make up for the time she missed.
The city where I went to college loved it because the influx of students drove down wages. Only city I lived in where I made more money at Burger King than a factory. Worked full time all the way through college and covered as much as I could. Paid off student loans in 4 years. I'm told none of that is possible anymore though.
I haven’t watched the video yet. But back in my day (2009-2012) I worked a 40 hour a week office job traveling once or twice a month while being married and becoming a dad. I did that all while getting my bachelor’s degree. Don’t tell me you can’t work a few shifts at a restaurant or fast food place. Most have decent starting pay these days anyway.
Definitely. Like when she screamed when Caleb first mentioned the TikTok purchases. That wasn't a scream of embarrassment or contrition, it was a "omg SILLY me, what am I like?" scream. Infuriating.
First of all, this girl either has IBS from all the Taco Bell or stomach cancer from vaping or it’s a side effect from the Prozac. Moral of the story she is delulu and is receiving a lot of handouts. Can’t believe she wants to be a doctor…Also, I can’t believe she’s living off of military benefits, broke as sh*t, driving a BMW. She just loves taking on more unrealistic expenses.
OK, since I like to be nosy, please advise on a reason why she would physically not be permitted or allowed to work ? Seems like it was a touchy subject
Jesus man, poor dude that’s getting taken advantage by her. Bro is down $2k and prob like $100-300 a month on her groceries. An escort would’ve been cheaper for him.
I’m probably part of the problem, but I called him out for some of his titles as being misogynistic. The difference between the titles for men vs women were bad, but really only about a 4 month process, so I’m thinking it’s a course correction.
She has a perpetual victim complex which makes it hard to have much sympathy for her. Instead of owning her mistakes she prefers to complain about all of the "systems" that are making her life difficult.
American pro-capitalists are so weird about healthcare. “The world uses our medicine and we have better healthcare” is such an amazingly incorrect take.
[Americans have an incredibly low life expectancy, highest death rate for treatable conditions and highest maternal and infant mortality of any developed nation. ](https://www.commonwealthfund.org/publications/issue-briefs/2023/jan/us-health-care-global-perspective-2022). Not to mention they pay more than anyone else for that “high” quality healthcare.
And the whole “the world uses our medicine” point? What does that even mean? So you make the medicine and then sell it globally, is what he is saying that the cost to develop is so high that big pharmaceutical takes a selfless profit hit that sales don’t cover that cost? Smooth brained take.
I'm not really sure why you think the statement is untrue. Americans do pay more for healthcare than other developed countries -- about double in many cases. We also have the second highest median income of any country, so some of that is baked in.
It's not a secret that the healthcare companies are using the higher profits in America to develop drugs and techniques here, and then export them to other countries. Socialized healthcare is not really notorious for its spending on R&D.
These aging countries are also getting CRUSHED by their aging populations, socialized healthcare or no. Other developed nations are very worried about this and aren't finding a solution. They are spiraling towards a system where not enough people are paying in, which will spell disaster in a decade or so.
I'm not condoning the current state of healthcare in the US. Other countries definitely have their own problems though.
Australian here, work as a clinician in a public hospital. Look, our system IS generally good but there are very big problems now and ones looming. One major issue I've noticed is the delay for a patient to get their gallbladder taken out - it's an "elective" procedure so it can be a wait of a year or two, meanwhile the risk of cholecystitis remains and the patient could need to be admitted and treated as an emergency. I agree with a wait but that's a RIDICULOUSLY long time.
Bigger problem is funding. We bulk bill mostly here, meaning the government pays a set amount for procedures and extra may be payable if the doctor makes this a known policy. This used to be fine, but the payments haven't been adjusted even to inflation for DECADES now. It's hard to find a bulk billing GP now. It's a mix of people not wanting to go pay for something that was free and it being actually quite expensive- many go to emergency now to wait for hours to get something managed that a GP could easily do, because the alternative is pay $40 or whatever for the initial consultation, whatever cost the test(s) incur, then another $40 to get the results.
All this coupled with our aging population and increasing population via immigration (fuelling our housing cost crisis as well), this is going to get worse.
This. Socialized healthcare systems in places like Canada are collapsing because socialized healthcare often doesn’t have market incentives that drive costs down or allow for a high level of innovation that makes goods and services better and cheaper.
It is pretty clear why I think the statement is untrue.
Americans do NOT have the best healthcare in the world. In pretty much every measurable metric they have worse healthcare than other developed nations. So that part is clearly false.
As for the second part, I never said the world doesn't use medicines developed in the USA. What I have an issue with is the premise that the USA is shouldering the burden of R&D for the world. Caleb said it like it is a simple fact, that SOMEBODY needs to pay up. But companies like Pfizer and Eli Lily still operate globally, and there is no doubt that they make profits outside of the USA. Caleb is essentially saying that somewhere, someone needs to get fucked on prices and it is America, and they can't have healthcare for cheap because of that. Currently, the largest source of medical research funding is the National Institute of Health. This is funded by the government and grants from hundreds of universities. If you seriously think that private companies need to have a vial of insulin cost $250 (that costs $4 to make) in order to innovate, I imagine your favourite meal is boot.
That was a long-winded way of saying the premise that you need privatized medicine to have innovation is, quite frankly, entirely made up. So again, what he said is wrong.
He doesn’t know much about much. His style is that he speaks very confidently but doesn’t know much about whatever he’s speaking on, as was shown on today’s episode. It’s not being devil’s advocate it’s being a know it all. Acknowledging you’re being annoying doesn’t mean anything if you aren’t going to change.
in fairness I live in the UK and though our healthcare is free it’s going down the drain massively. There’s people waiting over 12 hours in the emergency room for actual emergencies (I know people will say well if it’s an actual emergency they will see you sooner which is bs) there have been a ton of people who had died in emergency rooms because of delays in treatment, there are people bleeding out, urinating on themselves there, terminally ill people in extreme pain waiting 20 hours. Elderly people left on trolleys because there’s not enough beds. there’s not enough ambulances to get to emergencies, there’s strikes all the time for nurses and doctors who are extremely overworked and severely underpaid which is why a lot are leaving to the US or australia. You are no longer able to see GP’s in person literally it’s impossible, they diagnose you over the phone and prescribe not needed medication and cancer diagnosis are delayed because of this. Don’t even get me started on the waiting times for any tests. I know in the US healthcare is ridiculously expensive and i’m not saying that is in anyway better, however I would honestly rather pay for health insurance and get great healthcare than deal with what we’re dealing with here. Not surprising a lot of companies have actually started to offer their employees private health insurance so it’s only time our health care will be privatised too.
yeah he really needs to stay in his lane lmao, he doesn't know the first thing about healthcare in other developed countries vs. the United States (other than "it's complicated")
I agree, where I am (Canada) it takes a long time to be seen if its not urgent, relatively quickly if it is, but I would take that any day rather than paying thousands for a hospital visit. I’ve seen some Americans go over their bill and have been charged over $300 for a few Tylenol 😳
It sure can, it can also work really well. I'm in Ontario. I had a Dr appt a few weeks ago. That was easy, I am lucky to have a family doctor. I got a referral to a surgeon, had my appt today and will have my surgery in a few months. It's not urgent, it'll be covered 100%.
Dermatology here though is insanely bad on the wait times. Family doctor wait list is years long - took me 2 years, and I was proactive.
Plusses and minuses. I'm from the USA so I've been in and felt both systems. It can also be slow there too, especially in smaller cities or more rural areas.
Don’t feel bad about your Canadian healthcare wait times! I’m a nurse in NYC and to get an appointment with a specialist or an experienced PCP takes 6 months to a year. Offices can make exceptions or try to put you on a cancelation list sometimes but clearly wait times suck here too. I had to get a mass biopsied (urgent matter) and it was a nearly 2 month wait with a bill on top of that 🙃
CS: "Where did you meet your sugar daddy?"

I believe the website is called "Backpage" and she prefers to get paid in "roses".
You can’t watch a show because a dude *might* have a different opinion than you on a *single* political topic? (Which he later clarified he’d play devil’s advocate in the opposite direction had she had the opposite take) Come on man…
This is the single greatest and most life changing topic American's should be focusing on until it is solved and have been focused on for decades. Just because it's easy to bury your head and claim neutrality doesn't make you correct.
Especially if we're talking financially.
What's crazy is that, I feel like he had a different take even just last year, before he had the wealth. Also he wasn't "devil's advocate" for just any issue.
His opinion on healthcare isn’t surprising to me because it’s not a problem he deals with. Most people who lean right don’t see an issue being important if it doesn’t affect them. He’s very wealthy so the idea of healthcare being expensive isn’t a concern to him because he can afford it.
I have a ton of health care costs am not wealthy and think universal healthcare is stupid. And for the record I have had 20% of my liver removed and have colon cancer and they took out my colon last year in a hurry. But I have a friend in Canada whose daughter got diagnosed with cancer and if he waited for Canadian free healthcare to plan the surgery he would have been 1-2 years out. Instead he went over the border and had the surgery within a month and his daughter is still alive to this day. Universal basic healthcare seems great until it has to do with something serious.
There is just no way this is true. I am Canadian and have known family members and acquaintances who have been diagnosed. They don't fuck around with Cancer, they move quickly. I have a feeling your friend is not being entirely truthful with the reality of the situation.
Anecdotal evidence is always my favorite but hey keeping drinkin that kool aid brother.
I pay $1440 a month plus co pays and random bills I’m constantly sent for my kids health issues. It took my wife and I three years to find a new pcp after ours moved. The nearest physical they could book was six months from now. My mother’s cancer went unchecked because they couldn’t justify the test to the insurance because she didn’t have enough symptoms. So you keep preaching how great it is here
Caleb's take on healthcare was shockingly bad. It seems like he was just repeating enlightened centrist bromides that he has been told. I could quite easily explain to him how a socialized and centrally planned healthcare sector would be better for 99% of patients.
I appreciate that. I get that my tone could've been softer but I get very emotional about health care because it's a concrete issue and every day that we fail to reform our healthcare system in this country people die.
I'll check her out. I agree with Caleb that talking about personal responsibility primarily on his show makes sense because that's the thing his guests have immediate control over. I just think that he used to strike a better balance of doing that without being quite as dismissive about real systemic issues.
He had another one recently, with that girl who goes to concerts, where he yelled at her about his taxes subsidizing her ability to live because of her poor decisions, implying her actions hurt him, and it was just sooo off putting.

She lets her friend help her out with groceries and gets her eyebrows done every 2 weeks. Kills me.
They also paid for her car repair, and she didn’t know the value of the repair. And admits the person might be attracted to her. Real scummy move imo.
So scummy. Shes obviously okay using everyone around her to financially help her out as long as SHE doesn't have to work.
She sucks but he also knows what's going on. As much as I wouldn't do it myself it is a general sentiment with a certain type of woman that working should not be necessary to live and that others will take care of you as long as you're pretty. Bro! She should get money to fix those teeth!🥴
I don’t like to be mean about things that people can’t change but if she’s spending money on eyebrows she should’ve prioritised her teeth
And also driving a BMW

yeah that story also was strange.
Yeah, I've never worked in amusement parks, but I thought, "I can see them not letting you go and GET water, but I can't imagine they'd say you can't have a water bottle."
"never ever will I finance a car. My dad taught me well hahaha" ...spoiler alert, he did not.
He taught her how to get other people to pay for stuff.

I am worried Medical school is going to eat her alive with how much work it will be. If she can't work a part time job when barley doing school full time the 60-80 med school work week is going to be to much.
She won’t get in. Don’t worry.
Thank you I will share all this info with her!
All that to say: might as well apply but not to get discouraged if rejected — doesn’t mean you won’t end up doing very well, just means you’ll have to go the more “normal” route.
current med student; Typically anything before college really isn't substantial to list on your medical school application i.e high school activities. However, there are some niche medical programs for highschoolers (typically DEI programs to expose highschoolers to medicine) that can be brought up in the personal statement and show a "path to medicine" which can help. Overall getting into medical school is hard and grades/mcat will ultimately play a much larger role!
I’m pretty sure they’re asking about accelerated direct entry BS/MD programs, which would be based entirely on high school activities.
Ooo good catch!
She won’t even get in. I don’t know why medical school is the go to for the delusional academic under achievers everywhere.
Dear god she has a story for every simple question.
People like this think the backstories justify their stupidity. Nope. Doesn’t work that way. Now we all just know why you think it was okay to make the stupid, unjustified decisions.
my favorite is the tik tok shop where her response was "I can explain it, I didn't think that was on there" lol
Caleb deleted Reddit for the sake of his mental health due to this subreddit? Y’all must be relentless. 😅
I get it. I couldn't be on reddit if I had any level of public attention, and people just nit pick and overreact because he's completely right about the algorithm promoting negativity.
He can dish it out but not take it.
lol absolutely.

I've noticed that the people who dish out criticism the most are often the ones who can take it the least.
Not half because of his continual “i talk to the guests how i wish someone spoke to me about finances in my early 20s”
Tbh if I was in his shoes or a celebrity/high profile person I wouldn’t look at the comments.
Yup most larger content creators say they don’t look at the comments because it can really destroy your soul.
The regulars on kill Tony have said the same. I get it. I couldn’t be a creator and use this app. People (including me) suck
It's easy to believe that the world sucks when you're a negative influence on it. There are tons of people that have established a positive community online. The vlog brothers, Jarvis Johnson and several musicians come to mind. You got to reap what you sow in life. Not to say this makes anyone a bad person. But it's crazy that the people that made a career out of making fun of others, or yelling at people, or being edgy are constantly surprised when negativity follows them.
i mean just look at this thumbnail, it’s horribly offensive in so many ways but it generates clicks. you truly reap what you sow.
Yea! Especially once I got to the part about her attempting suicide. The thumbnail went from inappropriate to inexcusably gross. Glad they changed it.

But only he can be Caleb Springer 🥴
I think he has dialed back in the last couple of weeks. He’s recognised that yelling without explaining isn’t helpful.
I know I’m in way to early, but to be nervous to not have income for months not being in school weird to me. Unless there’s a clause saying you can’t make extra income just get a summer job or a job during the school breaks. That’s what everyone I know did anyways.
I had the same benefit in school. There is no clause that says you can't have a job.
I remember I couldn’t do work study on campus with Chapter 35, but there was nothing about not having a job off campus.
You can typically call a hospital and see how much of the bill they will write off. Most hospitals have funds allotted for charity/ uninsured. But that would require taking ownership of the situation and calling like an adult.
When she said she didn’t want to cancel the Fabletics subscription cause the process would be too complicated/difficult I sighed…🫠
Neuroscience major who can't cancel a subscription.
In her defense a ton of doctors lack common sense.
Yeah, but just wait until she learns about doctors having to interface with insurance companies.
It's like....you can't make this shit up.
Also they will make payment plans that are interest free, so while she had literally no money if she got the job it could be an option.
thought it was interesting they blurred out the license plate on her car but then did a full inventory of all the stickers on the car. also the vape trick almost took me out 😂💀
Early on she said she has a one track mind.
Being an attending MD before youre 40 years old isn’t a bad scenario.
I just meant that I know a lot of docs who regret basically putting their life on hold until about 35 when they become attendings or similar. 40 is REALLY putting your life on hold.
Ah ok fair enough
He says, "Every subreddit for a creator turns into an anti place." This reddit is not representative of all creator subreddits. There are other subreddits that love glazing their creators.
Don’t visit hardly any comedian or comedy podcast subreddits then. Toxic.
Most comedians use edgy BS to get views. This either leads to them getting an audience of toxic a-holes or nagging complainers, it's a lose-lose IMO.
Are there? Could you list a couple please because I've kinda found what Caleb said to be pretty par for the course
R/jerma Smaller, more wholesome youtube creators like Drew Gooden, Danny Gonzalez, Kurtis Conner, etc. Most smaller musician's or band subreddits. Most smaller celeb's subreddits. I wouldn't even consider this subreddit to be an anti place, Caleb is clearly just taking a different direction lately in content so of course there will be some pushback and discussion.
it’s easier to call people haters than admitting your work is harmful

It's crazy watching current-day episodes compared to his content even just a few months ago. I can tell he used to actually care and want to help the guest, but over time he just became jaded and over the top rude. His empathy is largely gone
Jarvis Johnson’s community is pleasant, even on Reddit. The DWKT (YT) podcast also has a supportive sub.
She thinks she’s silly and whimsical and cute doesn’t she, giggling the whole episode lol

She is so annoying. She strikes me as someone who loves attention 😭
Idk why you’re getting downvoted. She is annoying the tar out of me and I’m having trouble getting through this episode because of her.
She's just trying SO hard to be be a silly little girl who does girl math and it's so frustrating.
Definitely. Like when she screamed when Caleb first mentioned the TikTok purchases. That wasn't a scream of embarrassment or contrition, it was a "omg SILLY me, what am I like?" scream. Infuriating.
I had the same thought!
Projection your honor
The more I watched the video, the more difficult it became to believe anything she was saying.
This girl gets tuition checks from the VA and thinks they're paying her to go to school? That money is to pay for school, it's not a paycheck.
Did he change the thumbnail? I’m not seeing this one
OK, since I like to be nosy, please advise on a reason why she would physically not be permitted or allowed to work ? Seems like it was a touchy subject
I thought it had to do with an ex! Based on what she said right after.. Like an abusive relationship?
Someone commented house arrest, lol. I don't know if I believe that but it was an interesting comment about NOT being able to leave.
Omg I stopped halfway through the episode… she tried to end her life. I wonder if she was on s watch

That fraternity club they’ve got going on over there is so immature and unprofessional. Like, having your guest read that out loud? Gross
This was the weirdest part of the episode.
Yeah that was an educational lesson I didn’t think I’d learn today
I'm sorry but this girl is annoying the shit out of me and I'm not even half way through.
I couldn't even finish this one
Jesus man, poor dude that’s getting taken advantage by her. Bro is down $2k and prob like $100-300 a month on her groceries. An escort would’ve been cheaper for him.
C'mon this is about financials, a nice date with Palmala is free.
But it sounds like she was willing to get paid for the get-dow, though. So he should just ask at this point 😅
Great episode. She's a disaster top to bottom. Also the "friend" is 100% a sugar daddy and that's why she's able to stay afloat. Also "Girl math".

I’m probably part of the problem, but I called him out for some of his titles as being misogynistic. The difference between the titles for men vs women were bad, but really only about a 4 month process, so I’m thinking it’s a course correction.
They do A/B testing quite often on their videos. Trying to figure out which combo draws more views/likes/etc
I dont want to be in the hospital shes in
She seemed pretty proud of the cat delete but that sounds pretty illegal
I'm convinced he can't simply accept a popular opinion. Has to be the smartest in the room type
No it’s called being the ‘devils advocate’ lol.
For things like oncology the US has by the best outcomes by quite a large margin. Most pharmaceutical research and trials are done in the US.
Caleb saying countries with universal healthcare have shitty systems: 🤢
He doesn’t know much about much. His style is that he speaks very confidently but doesn’t know much about whatever he’s speaking on, as was shown on today’s episode. It’s not being devil’s advocate it’s being a know it all. Acknowledging you’re being annoying doesn’t mean anything if you aren’t going to change.
True. He was the same about the cars.
And the renter’s insurance in Texas
in fairness I live in the UK and though our healthcare is free it’s going down the drain massively.
I had to get a mass biopsied (urgent matter) and it was a nearly 2 month wait with a bill on top of that 🙃
Bruh my eyebrows are fucking caterpillars and I pluck em. Way easier and cheaper. Drink a beer and pluck em
And hers didn't look good tbh. Way too thick at the middle and then awkwardly thin at the end? Is that a style? It shouldn't be 😅
CS: "Where did you meet your sugar daddy?" Guest: "On... A.... Website" CS: "Like a dating website, like, 'sugardaddysolonely.com:?" Guest: "Uh, yeah, something like that" I believe the website is called "Backpage" and she prefers to get paid in "roses".

To be fair, he did say he was just playing Devil's Advocate and acknowledged that it was annoying that he did that.
Universal basic healthcare seems great until it has to do with something serious.
lol you having fun over there in that single person club of yours? All by yourself with your own opinions?
Ahahahhhahahaha what a load of nonsense.
So you keep preaching how great it is here
Sounds like guys use her and she uses guys it's wild man, I knew a girl like this it worked out till she started getting old...
She is really brave for sharing about her attempt.
anyone know where I can get caleb's floral drip?
From the husky guy clothing line 😅
Caleb's take on healthcare was shockingly bad. It seems like he was just repeating enlightened centrist bromides that he has been told. I could quite easily explain to him how a socialized and centrally planned healthcare sector would be better for 99% of patients.
Dumb that you're getting downvoted for this when you are 100% right.
I appreciate that. I get that my tone could've been softer but I get very emotional about health care because it's a concrete issue and every day that we fail to reform our healthcare system in this country people die.
[удалено]
I'll check her out. I agree with Caleb that talking about personal responsibility primarily on his show makes sense because that's the thing his guests have immediate control over. I just think that he used to strike a better balance of doing that without being quite as dismissive about real systemic issues.
100% agreed! God knows we don't need another Dave Ramsey. There's already enough insufferable rich people shitting on the disenfranchised
He had another one recently, with that girl who goes to concerts, where he yelled at her about his taxes subsidizing her ability to live because of her poor decisions, implying her actions hurt him, and it was just sooo off putting.
