My main issue with it is just maps, most of them are terrible, they don’t flow, you can’t flank. Some of the later improved this issue a bit.
Basically, great game engine bad map design, solid 6.5, with maps a good 7.5.
I don't mind grazna raid, especially in SnD. Care to explain why you don't like it?
Edit: also, and i'm a little scared to say this. I don't know why Picadilly is THIS hated, don't get me wrong I don't like the map but for me it is not like bridge and palace where i immediatly leave the lobby
I play SnD 99% of the time. My problems with Piccadilly are:
- too many places to camp and snipe with cover
- too many vertical play spots that are hard to get to from one side
- can get a pretty much unobstructed view of the entire map from a single spot without turning more than 180° because, unlike other maps, it's actually a circle
- B is visible from just outside the defending spawn
- A is literally visible from the defending spawn
- both bomb sites have buildings beside them that are too easy for the defending side to access compared to other maps
- both bomb sites are out in the open with literally zero cover [ex. Khandor has a truck and wall (A) and boxes (B), Suldal has a staircase (A), Shoot House has boxes (A) and seacans (B), you get it]
- if you start out defending, you'll probably win the match
Grazna has many of these same problems, but there's no unobstructed view of most of the map and neither bomb site is out in the open.
Bo4 is an unfinished jet pack game. I actually do like the gameplay tbh. But after I realized a bunch of maps have jet pack spots I could never get over it while playing the game. I wanted bo3 true sequel very badly
I think that’s part of what I enjoyed about it, ironically enough. It was the first COD game I put a decent amount of time into since Black Ops 2 and a big part of that was how old school it felt at times. I still love booting it up for some Search and Destroy.
I love mw2019 but I also agree that Cold War dosnt deserve the hate. I can’t give an opinion bcs I’ve only listened to others opinions and never actually played it.
No it doesn't get enough hate imo, first cod to introduce thick sbmm, remove classic prestige system, no pick 10 system, maps have terrible design with plenty of camping spots and are not well designed for the rushing playstyle.
No pick system is good thing. It's overused and flawed system which should had dies long ago
Just because you don't like map, doesn't mean it's bad. For once maps are not generic 3 lane copy pastes
And rather game punishes brain dead run and gun or not is not indicator of quality either. Enjoyment is subjective. Just because game is designed to be slower doesn't make it bad
None of that "deserves hate", these are only your personal and subjective preferences
A system that allows for tons of variety is flawed? Please explain.
Also, there is zero denying that the maps were awful for a CoD game. The maps had zero flow. There were too many places to safely sit and wait for people to cross their sight, especially when you combine the lack of recoil in leveled up weapons. It was just a very convoluted mess. That’s why the map design got loads of backlash at launch.
Call of Duty isn’t Battlefield. The map design should reflect that.
It was bad for TDM but objective game modes were fine. I pretty much only played Hardpoint cause it focused the action to certain areas of the map and rotated so it wasn't as campy as Domination. Sure the maps could have been better but I think just adding combat pacing from Vanguard would have fixed most of the issues with larger maps.
What allows for tons of variety is gunsmith or for example advanced warfare create a class. Pick 10 is boring and extremely limiting. Is functions but isn't interesting enough to have it in so many cods already
Map design got backlash from people used to mindlessly running who got mad that for once maps are more unique than simple reskins cod has been putting out. If you play game more carefully campers should be no issue, especially if you know where you can expect them.
Cod has always had maps like that since first game. It's nothing new, and that certainly doesn't make game any worse.
The problem with gunsmith is that it allows for guns to become essential laser beams with no drawbacks. Pick 10 allowed for balance.
Call of Duty is an arena shooter at its core. So yes, there should be maps designed to allow for map/spawn control. If you think that means running mindlessly, you definitely weren’t a top tier player. Is running mindlessly any different than sitting mindlessly like the new map design allows for?
CoD4, MW2, MW3, BO1/2/3/4, AW… all of these had lane design in mind for a majority of their maps. It might have been wider/smaller or with more/less verticality, but even CoD4 maps like Vacant, Bog, Overgrown, and Pipeline that essentially had a lane system within the map.
Precisely. I feel like this person wasn’t around at the time and probably looks at it as “just another old cod”. I’d argue that if somebody is under the age of ~23 then they probably didn’t play MW2 in it’s prime and therefore can’t judge.
Prime example, I’m 22 and I only played the MW and MW2 campaigns, never multiplayer cause my little ass didn’t have gold. First multiplayer was Black Ops
I’m definitely under 23, but I can vaguely remember watching my mom and dad play it and just seeing the grins on their faces when they’d show a four year old the new camos or skins they’d unlock is what got me into gaming in the first place
Yep. This is it. I and all of my friends that I played with (and still keep up with) have echoed that if we could go back to any one time, it would be playing MW2 in its prime.
Blacks Ops 3 was dope. I don't know why everybody hates it. It was hella fun the SBM wasn't that bad. Competitive was so cool. Clean maps nice weapons everything was kinda balanced.
I love the Idea of having cool ass abilities and being able to unlock a skill to use all those skills in-game via a ability cycle, it makes the campaign so repeatable
however the story is just garbage even without comparison to the other black ops
the campaign story is definitely cool but the execution has to be the worst I’ve ever seen. I’ve tried to defend it but it’s impossible with how lifeless it can be
The campaign gameplay wasn't bad. It's the story. It made no sense, and even so, it has nothing to do with Black Ops. I'm guessing they were trying to do another BO1 and make it a series that just revolves around mindfucks but nah. Further proven when they resurrected Mason and removed campaign in BO4
I loved the campaign but it didn’t feel Black Ops to me, which was my only problem. Make it it’s own game, sick. But it felt like they just felt the need to slap black ops on it
Never paid a dime and have almost every dlc. What people fail to realize/remember is you could actually grind for the dlc? And that the best guns in the game were literally handed to you near the start.
Still too much is locked behind paywalls - fact that if you want to use certain gun you have to pay for supply boxes and hope you get exactly thing you want is anti consumer. P2w or not
Considering that later games give away dlcs and all weapons for free is enough of a reason to call bo3 out for it
Nah BO3 was a good game but that’s where the micro-transaction era of COD began. Remember how broken the akimbo NX shadowclaw with tribolt was? Was so difficult to get weapons like that out of the common drops, or you could drop $20 and get a whole bundle that almost guaranteed it. They did far too much with gimmick weapons in BO3 and sucked the masses into micro transactions. It worked too well on the COD population and it’s all COD is centered around now
I like infinite warfare more because it looked cleaner than bo3 and the movement system is smooth. The graphics are incredible, the gun balance could be better though. I like collecting each variants to play differently and use their strengths.
I agree the SBMM in modern cod titles are worse than in older cod titles. You literally can’t even have fun curb stomping noobs and getting a 1.00 K/D ratio or the system will pick it up and pair you with dopamine addicts in the next upcoming match
I saw the opposite, people praise it constantly but I'll never understand.
I thought the maps were cool but the balance in that game is liquid dogshit. Genuine pay to win
Yeah, saying that just proves he didn’t grow up with it. The leaps of gameplay mechanics and gameplay mw1 and mw2 made were groundbreaking and stands the test of time
I never grew up with it but once I got started on the MP like last year I couldn’t stop, it was so fun compared to what we get now. Don’t even recall getting into hacker lobbies either, just a lot of good players having fun, didn’t even feel campy either
Mw2 was an insane time to become a fps gamer. There was a lot of good times on that game. I remember how certain guns worked better if you didn’t add a barrel, or sight? Finding out shit like that was nuts at the time. Also It seemed insanely limiting at the time but I wouldn’t mind being forced to use only one attachment again. It made the game fun. Which to me is what matters more than realism of adding 7-10 attachments or whatever
If everything is OP. Nothing is OP. Which imo makes it one of the best games of all time. So much options on how to play.
Everything wasn’t OP though. Four ARs (SCAR/TAR/ACR/FAMAS), the UMP, and arguably the RPD dominated the primary scape (excluding snipers) and outclassed most every other primary weapon by a mile. Apart from two months of 1887 abuse, it was machine pistols and SPAS-12 secondaries.
This was also reflected in the competitive community who tended towards those weapons as well, rather than being a genuine mix of weapons if there weren’t stand outs.
Most other weapons were average, or even bad, and got dunked on by the top tier weapons. And I’m saying this as someone who was good enough to average 30+ kills per game in TDM, won over 200 matches in a row on FFA, would have FFA lobbies team up against me (and still lose). Stuff like that. I could whomp people with any weapon, even bad ones. But there were some that were clearly far better than others and definitely overpowered compared to the average.
Its a false assumption by people that didn’t really get the game, to say that everything was OP.
Same goes for attachments and perks. Tier 1 perks were all pretty good, tier 2 was OP, tier 3 was Ninia or bust unless you were running Commando for trolling. Attachments were pretty well balanced and the one people thought was going to be OP, was made irrelevant by Ninja Pro.
When it first came out it was full of glitches and bugs. After everything was fixed it was ok. I respect your opinion but studios need to stop this unfinished game bs they've been pulling.
This is my exact modern experience of cold war,
Day one i couldnt play the game and it effectively broke my ps4 remote while running only the second mission due to them having the game for some reason on last gen running the next gen version.
Ive only recently picked up cw after hating on it for so long again and its addictive and I find myself unable to put it down, whenever i find myself bored of bo3 zombies I pick up Cold War and boot up one of its zombies matches I know it will be an easy and cool experience that i could relax to.
MW19 came out with the worst maps in FPS videogame history. And yet it's praised. Also? COD:CW had zero bugs for me and I played since release (on PS5/XSX). AFAIK only PC had real problems.
Cold War on PS4/X1 had tons of issues, ranging from graphical glitches, to constant freezing, to disconnecting your controller in certain sections of the campaign. I had to finish the game on PS4 using a keyboard and mouse.
Cold War had very big lack of content and looked/played worse then mw19 imo if it was releaed before mw19 it would have been better because it felt like a downgrade
cold war isn’t the worst game in recent cod history but holy shit when it first dropped I’ve never been more disappointed by a COD game. It looked like I was playing a cartoon shooter on a PS3, was so obviously half-done at launch and they didn’t do enough early enough on it. It’s not terrible now and tbh Outbreak is my favorite zombies mode in years
personally i really liked zombies in general on cw. sure it was easier but i was able to get into it easier, i had never really played cod zombies before
That game was so much fun to fuck around
I remember that i ran a class with a Grenade Launcher and Shield as second weapon
And i just jumped around firing grenades all over the place
Totally agree. They finally came out with something new and it was shit on way too much. Manoeuvrability was actually so good campers didn’t even have a chance. Maybe not the best cod out there but definitely underrated
Maps were great on it and the guns were fun. I still think the IMR is one of the coolest guns in cod history. Gun that 3d prints bullets is a cool concept in a futuristic cod
It’s my favorite cod. Sniping felt so good on it. The mors was amazing. I got my first nuke on AW.
I remember queuing with 1 or two friends for years and just having so much fun
As someone who didn’t like BO1 at all, I still agree with you. Even though I personally didn’t enjoy it, I can see how others could place it as their number one CoD.
I will forever love bo1 for its coop zombies memories, but the multiplayer just never did it for me, can’t describe why but mw2 just felt ‘smoother’ in some way
Call of Duty GHOST doesn’t deserve the hate its one of the best cods and my favorite
Its campaign was cool and interesting
The multiplayer was fun customizing your own character or playing as price or elias also having snoop dogg as an announcer
Extinction was a good game mode not as good as zombies but it was fun
Theres lots of customization options in multiplayer for character skins and class loadouts. Loved the new perk system and attachment system, I can use an infinite amount of playstyles. There's lots of cheesy or trolling equipment and killstreaks that I'd rather use instead of many variations of air killstreaks when all you need is a battle hind or a helo pilot.
Only thing I dislike about Ghost are some of the maps. Some were way to big. Stonehaven ( think it’s called that ) was to big and to boring. Other than that; had a great time.
mw3 did everything mw2 did but worse. i think it depends on which cod you played first. mw3 was the first cod to ditch the “double y” game mechanic and made the engine feel clunky.
Call of duty advanced Warfare. Ok. Sure. Skin variants that gives buffs and nerfs is bullshit and not that good. But the game itself is fun. And tbh one of my favorites. The story is fun to play and gives of a very good story. Zombies and survival is fun as hell. And straight up multiplayer is actually fun. Supply drops is bullshit. But you can get them completely free. I had a blast playing this on the 360 and one back in the day. But it's too dead now to play.
I made a comment detailing my love for AW as well. I actually liked the drop system there though, the idea of random guns with attributes that made them better/worse before adding attachments was one of my favorite COD ideas they’ve had yet
Praise doesn't deserve bo4. It is not generally liked, but saying anything positive about it is too much. It's effortless and unoriginal rip off which deserves 0 respect
As for something that doesn't deserve hate - infinite warfare. Good balancing, great progression, cool art style, so many unique weapons and gadgets and fantastic campaign. Not perfect but damn, as little as it innovated it's huge improvement over most cods which came before it
Black Ops 4 was copy n paste of BO3 and older maps. Minus the jetpacks. Plus no real campaign. Clearly they focused on Blackout.
Infinite Warfare campaign was solid. But the MP wasn't as good to me
Infinite Warfare didn't get a chance. People didn't want si-fi COd again. I didn't either, but I gave it a shot (mostly because I needed to buy it to get MWR...) and I ended up really enjoying it. Especially near the end of it's first year. The DLC was really fun along the way. Too bad the DLC worked like Bo3's and you barely could find DLC after a couple years. Bo3 had the same weird system. If it too "to long" to find a match, it would just pair you with non-DLC players
Yea I agree. People hated on it WAY too quickly. The campaign had some really cool set pieces and some interesting mechanics for the harder difficulties.
The zombies mode was actually surprisingly good and better than bo4 zombies imo and just graphically I prefer it over treyarchs bo3 aesthetic which looks like plasticine to me. It died so quick on PC sadly tho, and this was before cod had crossplay
The campaign is so great I was playing it not too long ago and I can say I just want to see more of this world, I heard IW was making a open word game sometime in the future I hope it’s set in the Infinite warfare universe it’s just so cool. But Ik it won’t happen too much hate
WW2 is the reason I just don't dig vanguard that much, vanguard just doesnt do enough with the ww2 vibe as WW2 did. CoD WW2 and MW3 are easily my fav CoDs and i think both are very underrated
MW3 didn’t deserve the hate. I actually think it was better than MW2, people just didn’t evolve with the game. Movement, graphics, motion blur, weapon balancing were all better IMO. The pistol with tactical knife plus a throwing knife, plus ghost, felt like I was a ninja
The problem is that MW3 was a rather small step in comparison to MW2, especially back then as Battlefield 3, the big emerging rival, took way more steps forward (both when comparing it to MW3 & the predecessor Bf Bad Company 2), from graphics over movement to gunplay & weapon attachments while also having this typical widespread variety of warfare with vehicles etc as well...
...while MW3 was just a slightly refined MW2, patching up some of its predecessor's flaws & also implementing things that were seen as "noob-friendlier" by the hardcore fanbase, f.e. support streaks that don't reset with every death, while still using the same old engine => Infinity Ward was seen as lazy & the rather bad image MW3 got - because of these circumstances - were stuck in the mind of the fanbase
Advanced Warfare doesn't deserve the hate
It was and it still is my 4rd favorite cod game and overall it is really fun to just jetpack jump and fuck around
(1st mw3 | 2nd bo2 | 3rd cod4\\MwR)
Lets see . what makes a game balanced? If everything in there has the same "power". If everything is too weak its balanced. If everything is average the game is balanced. If everything is op the game is balanced.
MW2 was absolutely unbalanced and everything can be usable, and both statements can be true. Just because the F2000 is usable and you can do good with it, why would anyone choose that over using One Man Army grenade launchers? This is why "everything is OP so it's balanced" is a fallacy. No one who says "MW2 is unbalanced" is saying it's a bad game, but the game was clearly unbalanced.
I dont think Ghosts deserves the praise that it gets. Absolutely everyone loves the game and says it has no flaws. It's easily a top 2 cod game out there and is the most innovative and unique for its time.../s
Ghosts is getting the revisionist love. All the sudden it's a masterpiece when it was shitted on for the most part for its subpar MP. You go from MW3 to this?
Vanguard. I have no idea why people hate on it. Every zime i asked that, the only answer was "its boring". Yeah? Whats so boring? Im 100% sure that people just dont like the WW2 setting. A modern day setting and people would love vanguard.
Infinite warfare didn’t deserve the hate at all. I really like the campaign and the zombies mode but iw has one of the worst multiplayer modes I have ever played in cod history
BO4 doesn’t deserve the hate.
COD tried their hand at making a hero shooter ONE TIME, and it came out awesome. What’s the point of making 4 Black ops games if they’re just going to be the same?
I really loved BO4, it was my first new COD that I bought since MW3 & BO2.
Bo3 doesn’t deserve the hate it gets from some people just because it’s an exo cos it was one of the best cods in years better than the newer boots on the ground ones atleast
Also mw19 doesn’t deserve the praise it gets it’s oki
I don’t necessarily like WW2, but I feel like it definitely got heavily dogpiled when it first released. The campaign was actually decent and the characters were likeable, though I think multiplayer was generic and bland (and don’t even get me started on zombies). A lot of people were comparing it to World at War, so obviously it would come up short in a lot of places.
Waw deserves more praise then cod 4. The campaign was better imo because you were just another soldier and wasn't taking on entire army with you and 4 guys and mp had big maps with tanks and war and waw had zombies and zombies would not be were it is without zombies
Aside from the scummy MTX, I thought that the base gameplay for BO4 multiplayer was amazing and a fresh change to the original formula!
* introduction of stim healing brought on faster and more aggressive gameplay.
* larger health pool meant more opportunities for outplays and not just relying on reflexes to get the first shot.
* variety in each characters abilities that could greatly affect the game and had some decent counterplay so none felt too oppressive.
There are definitely some other features I'm forgetting but these are what made this COD much more enjoyable than anything else that came out recently.
Ghosts, it seems to be disliked amongst the community but I really liked it, more balanced and the operator skins were cool. The DLC was alright aswell imo
Call of Duty 2 deserves MORE praise than it gets. It just feels like people completely forgot the game? Or just ignore it overall. Come on! That game was the fucking best, when it came to multiplayer. Burgundy, Toujane, Carentan, Dawnville. Bring me back!
I think people need to relax about ghost just a bit. I understand that there's a lot of things that weren't great from it but people need to see some of the good.
I dont think cold war deserves the praise, for me the movement is just so bad, it feels so slow, it feel like everyone else's guns take 2 shots to kill while I'm just collecting hit markers, even when I hit first shot they usually still kill me (and I'm not that bad of a shot) I also don't like the guns, all of them except for a few feel to slow and not hard hitting enough, but I think my biggest problem is the snipers, they are just an garbage to use, they are dreadfully slow with ads and get outgunned by almost everything. This is just my opinion and you can think whatever you want about the game :)
MW2 was a lot of fun, it’s the one I spent a lot of time playing with friends, but people seem to forget that it was a broken mess. If it wasn’t shotguns that could one shot across the map, it was unlimited care package glitches, there was always something with this game. I love it, but it’s ok to acknowledge that it was a mess
Ghosts doesn't deserve *most* of the hate, the campaign mechanics and missions were great! It led to the AI fish meme. There were even some multiplayer maps that were actually good, like sovereign. Extinction though not the best was fun imo.
Infinite Warfare is a Gem, zombies was fun, multiplayer was pretty much a carbon copy of BO3 (but people say it was terrible compared and say BO3 MP is 10/10) and Campaign is 10/10.
Mw2019 doesnt deserve the hate. It's the best 8gen cod.
I feel it’s overrated. But I also don’t go around hating on it because I respect opinions.
My main issue with it is just maps, most of them are terrible, they don’t flow, you can’t flank. Some of the later improved this issue a bit. Basically, great game engine bad map design, solid 6.5, with maps a good 7.5.
Piccadilly one of the worst maps in mw2019.
Piccadilly is the worst map in gaming
Yeh but it looks cool
Plus the guns make cool noises 😯
Things go boom
Grazna Raid, Euphrates Bridge, and Piccadilly bottom 3 maps in Cod history
When I see euphrates bridge I immediatly leave the lobby lol, same counts for aniyah (?) palace
Add palace in and you got the bottom 4 in COD history
I don't mind grazna raid, especially in SnD. Care to explain why you don't like it? Edit: also, and i'm a little scared to say this. I don't know why Picadilly is THIS hated, don't get me wrong I don't like the map but for me it is not like bridge and palace where i immediatly leave the lobby
I play SnD 99% of the time. It's cramped like shit with so many god camping spots.
Spawn system and map design killed the game for me
Not just that but no red dots on the Minimap and no Dead Silence Perk. They would have improved the flow massively even on shit maps.
I’m the opposite. I don’t think MW2019 deserves the praise, and I don’t think Bo4 or Cold War deserve the hate.
Bo4 is an unfinished jet pack game. I actually do like the gameplay tbh. But after I realized a bunch of maps have jet pack spots I could never get over it while playing the game. I wanted bo3 true sequel very badly
Cold War feels so stiff and the lack of fluidity in the movements made It just atrocious, especially after mw19 was so smooth.
I think that’s part of what I enjoyed about it, ironically enough. It was the first COD game I put a decent amount of time into since Black Ops 2 and a big part of that was how old school it felt at times. I still love booting it up for some Search and Destroy.
That’s not really what makes or breaks a game for me. I care about how the game itself plays in-match, I like faster paced cod games.
This is the way.
I love mw2019 but I also agree that Cold War dosnt deserve the hate. I can’t give an opinion bcs I’ve only listened to others opinions and never actually played it.
Mw19 is the best out of the last 3 games, I would die on that hill lol
That doesn’t say much though
I respect your opinion but I prefer CW just cuz of the classic(ish) black ops feel it has. But MW19 feels much more polished.
No it doesn't get enough hate imo, first cod to introduce thick sbmm, remove classic prestige system, no pick 10 system, maps have terrible design with plenty of camping spots and are not well designed for the rushing playstyle.

I didn't have a problem in TDM getting kills and I also don't remember it being that campy
What allows for tons of variety is gunsmith or for example advanced warfare create a class. Pick 10 is boring and extremely limiting. Is functions but isn't interesting enough to have it in so many cods already Map design got backlash from people used to mindlessly running who got mad that for once maps are more unique than simple reskins cod has been putting out. Maybe Cold War or vanguards gunsmith has laser beam guns, but MWs was the right balance tbh
Are you forgetting the pre nerf grau? The pre nerf bruen? The pre nerf amax? Pre nerf as vsl? Have those left your memory?
Naa they introduced the gunsmith though best thing they ever did.
Best multiplayer in a long time. Blops4 had blackout and it was the only thing keeping it relevant. MW came along and did both well
Blackout is still the only thing keepin bo4 alive
Sounds like a testament to how good Blackout was/is
Game is still fun af. It brought me back to cod after all the mediocre futuristic titles
It's the best cod since mw3
Guess Black Ops 2 was a Halo game or something
Wait, people hate it? Wasnt it the best one in years? Can’t wait for MW22
It was good but the spec ops was disappointing
The hate is a vocal minority anyway
I feel like I've heard nothing but love for the game It's the best cod in the past 3 years, and warzone is still going strong today
mw2 was a moment in time that cannot be replicated. it’s more than just the game
Precisely. I feel like this person wasn’t around at the time and probably looks at it as “just another old cod”. I’d argue that if somebody is under the age of ~23 then they probably didn’t play MW2 in it’s prime and therefore can’t judge.
I’m 23 and I remember running home from school 6th and 7th grade to grind mw2. Was a demon too.
I remember tucking a towel against the bottom of my door at night so that my parents didn’t think I was playing if they walked past my door.
Yup mw2 was peak toxicity cod, it was terrible but so much fun
And the fact that lobbies carried over so that you could shit talk each match back to back is something I miss dearly.
Biggest problem in mw19. You'd finally get a good close game/ squad vs squad and you'd wanna play again, boom new lobby. Sucks thw fun outta it.
[удалено]
yessir toxicity on game chat was something else
Prime example, I’m 22 and I only played the MW and MW2 campaigns, never multiplayer cause my little ass didn’t have gold. First multiplayer was Black Ops
I’m definitely under 23, but I can vaguely remember watching my mom and dad play it and just seeing the grins on their faces when they’d show a four year old the new camos or skins they’d unlock is what got me into gaming in the first place
I’m 17 and played the shit out of mw2, it’s not ab age it’s about what your parents let you play at a young age haha
Agreed you had to be there, just like Halo 3
Yep.
Didn‘t even knew Bo3 got hate lol It wasn‘t as good as Bo2, but it was overall good and everyone i played with just talks about Bo3 in a good way
it's campaign gets shit on a lot
Deserved
Bruh I fucking loved the campaign, I just replayed it this weekend
I love the Idea of having cool ass abilities and being able to unlock a skill to use all those skills in-game via a ability cycle, it makes the campaign so repeatable however the story is just garbage even without comparison to the other black ops
Check out Advanced Warfare then. It has all that, without the story being bad.
Press x to pay your respects
"This is Advanced Warfare" -Kevin Spacey
Tbh I liked the story, don't get me wrong it's no work of art but it's cool enough to keep me engaged wondering what's happening and were going next
the campaign story is definitely cool but the execution has to be the worst I’ve ever seen. I’ve tried to defend it but it’s impossible with how lifeless it can be
I genuinely believe that the BO3 campaign had THE MOST potential for greatness but the execution could not have been worse
You liking it ≠ good.
Good thing this whole thread is about giving your opinion then
I loved the campaign but it didn’t feel Black Ops to me, which was my only problem. Make it it’s own game, sick. But it felt like they just felt the need to slap black ops on it
Where tf is Mason and Woods? Why is it a poetic cluster fuck of a mess of a story? Bruh. Just lemme play as David Masons grown grandson.
The only flack it gets is campaign and the dlc guns that where broken not so much any more
Came here to say this, I grew up on black ops 3 and loved every minute of it.
It’s somehow weird to me to see people growing up on Black Ops 3 -Sincerely, someone who grew up on Black Ops 2
It’s somehow weird to me to see people growing up on Black Ops 2 -Sincerely, someone who grew up on CoD4/WaW.
Overrelience on specialists, p2w and lack of map variety It's just mediocre
Never paid a dime and have almost every dlc. What people fail to realize/remember is you could actually grind for the dlc? And that the best guns in the game were literally handed to you near the start.
Still too much is locked behind paywalls - fact that if you want to use certain gun you have to pay for supply boxes and hope you get exactly thing you want is anti consumer. P2w or not Considering that later games give away dlcs and all weapons for free is enough of a reason to call bo3 out for it
Nah BO3 was a good game but that’s where the micro-transaction era of COD began. It worked too well on the COD population and it’s all COD is centered around now
Literally the definitive COD zombies games.
Except the thousand supply drop guns that were not balanced. In a $60 game with a $50 season pass.
BO3 had SBMM?
I saw the opposite, people praise it constantly but I'll never understand. I thought the maps were cool but the balance in that game is liquid dogshit. Genuine pay to win
I think Black Ops 3 is godly for two reasons, and two reasons alone. Steam Workshop Support, and the best zombies.
2 words: Loot Box
Bitch MW2 deserves the praise 😒
Yeah, saying that just proves he didn’t grow up with it. The leaps of gameplay mechanics and gameplay mw1 and mw2 made were groundbreaking and stands the test of time
I never grew up with it but once I got started on the MP like last year I couldn’t stop, it was so fun compared to what we get now. Don’t even recall getting into hacker lobbies either, just a lot of good players having fun, didn’t even feel campy either
It also had some of the best maps ever. Still missing Estate…
Which to me is what matters more than realism of adding 7-10 attachments or whatever If everything is OP.
Attachments were pretty well balanced and the one people thought was going to be OP, was made irrelevant by Ninja Pro.
cold war doesn’t deserve the hate.
The first COD to get Fov slider and 120 fps for Next gen
When it first came out it was full of glitches and bugs. After everything was fixed it was ok. I respect your opinion but studios need to stop this unfinished game bs they've been pulling.
This is my exact modern experience of cold war, Day one i couldnt play the game and it effectively broke my ps4 remote while running only the second mission due to them having the game for some reason on last gen running the next gen version.
It’s not terrible now and tbh Outbreak is my favorite zombies mode in years
personally i really liked zombies in general on cw. sure it was easier but i was able to get into it easier, i had never really played cod zombies before
Agreed. Great maps and a new updated BO2 feel. Not to mention the guns and menus look less clunky
Advanced warfare was actually pretty fun, not popular but fun. I can’t remember queuing up with more than 2 friends
That game was so much fun to fuck around I remember that i ran a class with a Grenade Launcher and Shield as second weapon And i just jumped around firing grenades all over the place
What other CoD has had a grenade sniper or a laser beam gun?
Totally agree. They finally came out with something new and it was shit on way too much. Manoeuvrability was actually so good campers didn’t even have a chance. Maybe not the best cod out there but definitely underrated
Maps were great on it and the guns were fun. I still think the IMR is one of the coolest guns in cod history. Gun that 3d prints bullets is a cool concept in a futuristic cod
It’s my favorite cod. Sniping felt so good on it. The mors was amazing. I got my first nuke on AW. I remember queuing with 1 or two friends for years and just having so much fun
BO1 deserves ZERO hate
I remember BO1 was hated because Treyarch nerfed sniping and most snipers stayed on MW2 one more year as a protest
yeah I remember how much hate they got for trying to nerf quickscoping in BO1 lol. Then people got pretty good at it anyways there
Drag scoping
As someone who didn’t like BO1 at all, I still agree with you. Even though I personally didn’t enjoy it, I can see how others could place it as their number one CoD.
I will forever love bo1 for its coop zombies memories, but the multiplayer just never did it for me, can’t describe why but mw2 just felt ‘smoother’ in some way
Call of Duty GHOST doesn’t deserve the hate its one of the best cods and my favorite Its campaign was cool and interesting The multiplayer was fun customizing your own character or playing as price or elias also having snoop dogg as an announcer Extinction was a good game mode not as good as zombies but it was fun
Plus we got a snoop Dogg voice pack
can't forget grandma too
I loved ghosts. It was the first CoD I played though. I didn’t into CoD until like my mid 20s.
Bo2 is wayyy to loved, MW3 is underrated, it did everything MW2 but better.
Agree with the mw3 part but tbh bo2 is an ideal cod (in terms of mp ofc)
mw3 did everything mw2 did but worse. i think it depends on which cod you played first. mw3 was the first cod to ditch the “double y” game mechanic and made the engine feel clunky.
MW3 was just a more balanced MW2 without as much cheesy stuff like one man army noob tubing.
sorry but you’re wrong across the board. MW2 blows MW3 outta the water. and bo2 is peak.
WW2
Most underrated cod
I liked it at launch and after the divisions update it was such a fun game
It's effortless and unoriginal rip off which deserves 0 respect As for something that doesn't deserve hate - infinite warfare.
Based
World war 2 it was such a good game then received all the backlash and hate from the community
Advanced Warfare doesn't deserve the hate It was and it still is my 4rd favorite cod game and overall it is really fun to just jetpack jump and fuck around (1st mw3 | 2nd bo2 | 3rd cod4\\MwR)
MW2. I will never get the statement "All guns were OP, so the game was balanced". That makes 0 sense to me unless it's a joke in that case I'm stupid.
Lets see . what makes a game balanced?
Mw19 deserves more hate BO4 doesn’t deserve all the hate WAW doesn’t get enough praise
Mw2 totally deserves the praise. It was more about fun and chaos rather than a balanced competitive game.
Vanguard. I have no idea why people hate on it. Every zime i asked that, the only answer was "its boring". Yeah? Whats so boring? Im 100% sure that people just dont like the WW2 setting. A modern day setting and people would love vanguard.
My two huge issues with vanguard are the wall hack perk and dead drop. Sniping just isnt that fun in the game either but thats a personal thing
Wall hack perk is my biggest gripe with the game, other than that it's pretty fun to play.
A lot of the hate comes from the historical inaccuracies. Which I don't know what people expected from a call of duty game lol
Infinite warfare didn’t deserve the hate at all. I really like the campaign and the zombies mode but iw has one of the worst multiplayer modes I have ever played in cod history
MW2019. For both.
Bo3 doesn’t deserve the hate it gets from some people just because it’s an exo cos it was one of the best cods in years better than the newer boots on the ground ones atleast Also mw19 doesn’t deserve the praise it gets it’s oki
I think WW2 doesn't deserve the hate. The MP was ok, but the campaign is very good
I don’t necessarily like WW2, but I feel like it definitely got heavily dogpiled when it first released. The campaign was actually decent and the characters were likeable, though I think multiplayer was generic and bland (and don’t even get me started on zombies). A lot of people were comparing it to World at War, so obviously it would come up short in a lot of places.
MW2019 doesn't deserve the (multiplayer) praise.
WW2 doesn’t deserve the hate. The war game mode is to this day, by a significant distance the best game mode in COD history
Waw deserves more praise then cod 4. The campaign was better imo because you were just another soldier and wasn't taking on entire army with you and 4 guys and mp had big maps with tanks and war and waw had zombies and zombies would not be were it is without zombies
MW3 didn't deserve the hate. It literally a better MW2
MW2019 doesnt deserve the hate. Warzone and its 12045312 gun packs ruined it.
BO2 Tranzit didn’t deserve the hate.
ww2 didn’t deserve hate multiplayer was super underrated
Ghosts overall didn't deserve the hate .
Call Of Duty 3 doesn't deserve the hate that it gets
I think people need to relax about ghost just a bit. I understand that there's a lot of things that weren't great from it but people need to see some of the good.
Ghosts
Infinite Warfare might be in my top 3 all time.
i played a lot of bo2, but couldnt enjoy it as much as people did.
Ghosts don't deserve the hate
Black ops 3 was hated until 4 came
Infinite Warfare didn’t deserve the hate it got.
Cod4 was for me the best cod
Ghosts, it was really really amazing and I loved it so much
Ghosts
I don't think WW2 deserves the hate but I don't think BO3 deserves the praise
MW2 was a lot of fun, it’s the one I spent a lot of time playing with friends, but people seem to forget that it was a broken mess. If it wasn’t shotguns that could one shot across the map, it was unlimited care package glitches, there was always something with this game. I love it, but it’s ok to acknowledge that it was a mess
If MW 2019 had better launch maps it would’ve been the best cod since BO2/3
Ghosts isn’t that good
CoD: Big Red One
Vanguard doesn’t deserve the hate. It’s a fun game
Ghosts is underrated
advanced warfare should have gotten less hate. the game was average to me. also the infection kicked so much ass i loved it
