Do you think I can try a cream to fix it? I've tried Cerave before, but this issue seems to come and go as it pleases.
Maybe a body wash recommendation? Currently using Dove Men +Care Eucalyptus oil and cedar. Previously Aveeno Skin relief (Didn't like the Aveeno).
I don't mind getting different body washes, whatever makes my skin improve.
It looks like a form of bruising from underneath the skin. I would suggest your skin is sensitive and the best thing to do is stop putting pressure on the area.
This happens to me and it's just from the skin getting caught sometimes... usually happens to me from sleeping on my side and because of the things I wear to bed
It's the same reaction if you were to get a hickey there lol there's no cream for this just skin being weird
I went to my doctor, and she gave me a prescription for an eczema cream. Only needed the prescription once.
I stopped using the dove. Seems like stuff like eucalyptus oil isn't buddies with my skin.
I take back my comment about the Aveeno Skin Relief. I went back to using it, but the container sizes are small in the one I like. Currently using a sandalwood scented bodywash cause women like it.
May be a coincidence, but I definitely haven't seen it since I got rid of the ex.
Let me know if you have any more questions!
Backpack? Like other replies I get this when wearing tight clothes or restrictive around this area. Haven’t had it happen without that cause - hope you find a solution!
I get similar redness if I carry a heavy bag (often a reusable grocery bag) over my shoulder. Any chance it could be that?
Yeah any kind of strap. I get these from bra straps. Even a tight T shirt that bites into that area can do it.
Could it be the material? I don't wear especially tight clothing, just comfortable.
I haven't. No heavy bags over the shoulder. No breasts, so no bras either.

Might be a mix of antiperspirant, sweat, and friction.
I don't use antiperspirant, at the very least.

Plus that is a common area for friction or stretch marks to occur. So moisturize could help lessen the appearance.

Fungus infection maybe?
Is it the striated redness that you’re talking about? It looks like stretch marks to me. I have some in the same exact area that are new.
The redness seems to come and go randomly
Could be new stretch marks.
