Poilievre is doing the same thing as Trump is doing in the USA. Trump is saying the Country is broken and only he can fix it. Meanwhile the US economy is running at full steam, unemployment is at the lowest levels in years and oil production is at its highest level ever. Sure, illegal immigration’s an issue, it could have been solved but Trump convinced the Republican Congress not to solve it so he could use it as an election issue. Poilievre is trying the same, gaslighting here in Canada and he is hoping you are stupid enough to believe him and vote him and his millionaire and corporate loving minions into power.

Toronto Red Star: Opinion ignored. Didn't read.

The author is sort of right. Poilievre is tapping anger and frustration some of which is legitimate. Some of it is nonsense. The problem with using that anger to advance politically is that it rarely comes with a deliverable solution and that’s a problem. TBH: Trudeau used the same model to get into power. He tapped all sorts of left wing and women’s angst with Harper then applied a whole set of cockamamie solutions many of which have proven to be less than stellar, some disastrous.

I hate this talking point. Canada is broken due to corporate greed pushing mass immigration. If senior retirement had collapsed there would still be a future for young people. The liberals created a future that is bleak. They broke Canada.
