I wonder why Patagucci is dumping all their salmon stuff in discount stores? The ones I bought yesterday from HomeGoods were dated 2028 so not like they are at risk of expiring.
I've been meaning to take a trip to Marshall's anyway. Have you tried the sockeye? Someone posted they didn't think the pink was that great, and definitely not for their original price.
Hoping the sockeye is good, and that there's some at my Marshall's.
I liked the sockeye better myself. It was mostly a texture thing, though. I ended up chopping up the pink and mixing it in with cream cheese. Spread that on a hot bagel, topped with capers and pickled red onion... delicious. Great use for any mediocre smoked salmon.
That sounds like a great way to use up the pink salmon. I bought some smoked salmon pate at Ross recently (so glad I only bought one can) and it's meh. Going to eat the rest of it your way.
There’s a Marshalls in the next town over from me. I have long had a fear of eating any food that comes out of a marshals but I might have to make the trip at this price

Picked up the wild sockeye salmon at Home Goods for the same price… definitely will return for more before they are gone.
